Clients hired Jake with Tahoe Moving Company. They cancelled due to a bad storm which was expected and totally ok. They postponed to over a week later which was a crunch for the move. Clients offered to pay them extra for a good weather window on the weekend and they declined. The next available date for them ended up being chain control above Truckee and it was one of those days that was barely snowing, no accumulations predicted and chain control lifted by noon. They couldn’t make it and cited road conditions. What moving company based in Tahoe doesn’t have chains? Maybe it was just a good powder day but it was extremely inconvenient and unprofessional to leave us hanging, when we made it on time to let them in. Their next available date was longer than a week out and totally unacceptable since we needed to be out of the house. Clients fired them. I have no idea how they get 5 star reviews.”
