I used Hire A Help from the recommendation from PODS for loading and unloading. The men arrived on time and provided great and efficient service. They were done before my allotted time and they handled every piece of furniture with great care.
Neal Rehse ★★★★★
We needed someone to load our POD and Hire A Helper was spot on. It was easy to setup the service date and time. There were lots of options available and all had good reviews for good reason. Our help was right on time and got the job done on time and showed their expertise. They knew exactly what to do, which was a great relief.

Hire a helper saved the day when I needed help! It was easy to use when I had less than 24 hours notice- it was fast and gave a variety of options, so I could do price-comparisons and research who I’d be hiring. The company I found was helpful and trustworthy. A great resource I’d use again and recommend.

The guys did a great job loading and securing the load. They finished on time and cleaned up after themselves. I was pleased .

The guys made unpacking our jam-packed Uhaul a breeze! They were respectful of our belongings and made sure they were all on the same page in regards to where we wanted things throughout the house. We had a 4 man team and I wish we would have had them when we packed up the truck.

We had an amazing experience with Happy Movers! Had an emergency move and they sent us two helpers the same day at very short notice. Victor and Oscar were a great team! Very polite, never stopped moving and went over and above in helping us get everything done in a short amount of time. Would gladly use this company again.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and appreciated!! Move Happy met me and my husband’s expectations earlier this month when we moved to Honolulu. The move went smoothly and there were no delays. We used the storage unit Move Happy provided which was well-located in downtown Honolulu and climate controlled as well as clean. The management team at the move Happy Office also easy to reach and responsive when we had any questions or concerns.

They wrapped all my furniture so it was safe whilst traveling, and I got my items before the expected delivery window. Wonderful experience trusting them with my move!

The whole moving process ended up being very enjoyable as these movers were professional and easy going from day one. They wrapped all my furniture for me with their own padding material for free, and also storing my belongings for 30 days for free until I find a house. Very great experience, would highly recommend!

Please note: I did NOT write a review (Trasy R from Riverside) denigrating this company. That was a FAKE review. I spoke with Mama Movers and they are ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL to deal with!! That review was NOT ACCURATE and my identity was falsely used against them. They linked to my account and links to my profile which contains my personal information. PLEASE REMOVE THAT REVIEW IMMEDIATELY. I did not consent for my profile and private information to be posted on Yelp in the fraudulent account of Trasy R is compromising my privacy.

Had my first big move earlier this week and simply didn’t have the time or resources to do the move myself. A friend of mine referred me to Mama Movers after he used their moving services a couple months ago and was very pleased with the job they did. I, too, had a great experience – didn’t need to lift a finger outside of getting everything packed and unpacked. They took great care of all our belongings and went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. So all in all I’m very pleased with how this all went. Reasonable prices and great people to work with. Highly recommend!

I am honestly so impressed by this company, I don’t know where to start. They made everything so easy, from the way they handled my phone calls to ask questions, to the way they handled the move. They packed thing with speed & with care, they were communicative and on-time, and to top it all off they were pleasant and nice to be around. Who would have ever thought that was possible with movers? Moving across the country is hard (or so I’m told) but this company really made it so, SO easy.

CA/NY express took all the stress out of our big move from SF to NY over the holidays. From getting a quote, to inventory adjustments, to pickup, to storage, and finally to delivery, the whole process was completely seamless and cheaper than any service I could find out there. Everything was handled professionally and all our furniture was delivered in great shape. On delivery, one of the guys even put my bike wheels back together and gave me recommendations for future maintenance 🙂 Everyone we worked with through this process was kind, punctual, and super helpful. Definitely recommend!

CNY Express made my move from Brooklyn to Los Angeles so simple. The agent was responsive and answered all emails incredibly fast. And despite the fact that we moved over Xmas break, they still performed the move, and quickly too. Packed on the 22nd of December and including the entire Christmas Holliday and New Year’s Day, i had my furniture in my house on January 3rd. Other moving companies were quoting furniture arrival around the 15th of January because of the holiday. Everything arrived in perfect shape, with no damage. The packers really took care to make sure everything was properly padded and secure. Even my precious paper thin OLED TV made it in perfect shape. I highly recommend this company. They are the real deal. -timur.

I was 100% satisfied with CNYX and would recommend them to everyone. Not only did Elizabeth Solis and the rest of the dispatch team (on both ends) keep in constant and efficient communication with me throughout the entire process, they also sent useful (not annoying spam) email reminders regarding my inventory and arrival times (always called an hour prior to let me know when they would arrive). The San Francisco crew arrived exactly at 8:00 AM and were professional from start to finish. Despite the 3 flights of stairs the movers had to traverse, they were still happy to answer my questions and took extra precautions with my fragile items. Even though we opted to wrap and box our items ourselves, the movers came prepared with blankets, extra bubble wrap and boxes. The box came in handy for our TV and they extra bubble wrapped our glass table, end tables, paintings and lamps. All of our stuff arrived in Manhattan from San Francisco in perfect condition and the (dis)assembly was quick and careful. I had not realized the California crew had safely stored all the screws and hardware required for the assembly of my bed frame, end tables and dining table, but the assembly crew on the New York end had paperwork noting exactly where everything was. Since I was not able to reserve a parking spot for the New York crew, the lead mover explained there would be an additional $10 fee added to my bill so they could park on the corner which made sense and was explained very clearly. Yay no hidden fees! Instructions during inventory check at the time of move-in was also well explained and everything was correctly numbered. The movers in New York rolled out all of the rugs first so they could lay out the furniture and boxes exactly where I needed them. Also A+ for no damage to my building and sending over the requested Certificate of Insurance my super requested. Thank you for making my move painless and simple!

Had a stress-free experience with Red Carpet Movers. They kept in contact with me prior to the moving date, so I didn’t have to worry about any delays or last minute surprises. The two men they sent were amazing: fast, efficient, and well-skilled in what they do. I liked the fact that when I asked at the last minute if I could add on 2 bikes + a file cabinet they replied;” of course, our truck is huge”.
I don’t move very often, but this company met and exceeded my expectations.

Having never used a moving company before and hearing from friends about their bad experiences we were nervous indeed to entrust our belongings to just anyone. When Sal came to our home to discuss the process we felt much more at ease. Once we were on board he helped us prepare along the way. Sal and Jay were always there for us as we prepared for moving day. The day of the move went smoothly and the guys (TJ’s crew) were compassionate and personable (this was a very emotional day for us) as well as took special care to protect our things. Their cost included moving items to Pleasanton apartment, storage of furniture and household items, and then our move to Truckee in November. We truly recommend Red Carpet Moving and Storage!

From the beginning of planning the move, working through the details with Sal, to the actual moving day with Chris and his team, Red Carpet made the stresses of moving a rather enjoyable and cost effective experience. On moving day, Chris and his team made a move from Walnut Creek to Santa Cruz (6.5 hours total – travel and labor) very smooth and easy! They were very prompt, efficient, thorough and professional the whole way through. I would recommend their services to anyone… couldn’t have done it without their expertise and skill to ensure everything was moved out and moved in safely, fully protected and well placed.

Christine, Fred and the rest of the Mayflower team moved us across the country. They were very professional from the video inventory, in home packing , and unloading at our newer location. Given the reset struggles the we all have experienced with COVID-19, the Mayflower team stayed committed to and throughly delivered on all their dates. Would recommend them to anyone considering a transporter.

Moving=stress!! Lucky for us we did not have to feel the stress of the move with Mayflower. Tony came out and did an estimate on our items that we wanted to move and the ones we needed help with packing. He did an amazing job and you can tell he is very experienced in his knowledge with the company. He was extremely kind and understanding especially since we were really nervous about a big move for us moving out of state. He went over all the questions we had and made sure to go over everything with us. Tony was the reason we booked with Mayflower. His knowledge and experience made us have so much trust in the company! We felt comfortable knowing he would be taking care of our move! Once confirmed with Tony we received a call from the office from Christine. Her energy is contagious. Every phone call she was always so upbeat and helpful. Super super sweet!! She was always making sure to ask if we had any questions and helped right away if I needed something. Everything was on schedule as planned and went amazing. Sam loaded and unloaded our stuff in the days scheduled and I felt went above and beyond. He made sure to ask where we wanted things and is a hard worker! Very quick and efficient. Sam is a one of kind mover, I felt my stuff was safe knowing he had it and he took good care when loading and unloading the items. Incredible guy! Overall I am very blessed to have this move go smooth because prior to it I was stressing so much. Tony, Christine, and Sam were absolutely amazing! In the future If I need to move again I will definitely return!

Tony took the time to really evaluate our belongings and gave us an accurate estimate. He explained the entire process and was very helpful with packing tips. He made good suggestions on what we should pack and what we should leave to the professionals. Our move coordinator Christine was AMAZING, she was wonderful to work with! She was great about staying in constant communication with us and always seemed to anticipate our questions. She provided EXCELLENT customer service, and I always felt like I was talking to a friend whenever we communicated. I appreciate that she was so responsive, both via E-mail and over the phone. I truly feel she went above and beyond to help make our move as stress-free as possible! The crews that picked up and delivered our goods were on time, extremely professional, and very careful with everything they handled. They made us feel like they really cared about our belongings, and that we weren’t just another move. Thank you Mayflower! We’ve already recommended them to a family member for her upcoming move.

Love this team! Tony was great with the virtual survey. He was patient, thorough and even did a second inspection just to reassure us that everything was ok. Christine was phenomenal! She was kind, easy to contact, answered all questions, (regardless of stupidity level) and kept us updated every step of the way. Jose and his partner did an amazing job on moving day. They were careful, thoughtful and efficient. If you have to move, this is definitely the team you want.

I moved to San Diego from Chicago, IL and I struggled at first to find a professional and reputable company. I had received several quotes and just wasn’t comfortable with the lack of concern most of these companies had regarding the pandemic. Finally I hit the jackpot with GPS. Vanessa from was amazing and put my mind at ease with the many precautions they were taking to ensure their employees weren’t ill and to ensure they followed strict CDC guidelines. She quoted my move, at a great rate and we scheduled everything out. The crew who came out, Adrian, Tony and Abraham, were on time masked and gloves on and quickly packed my two bedroom home, using generous padding and wrapping so nothing would be damaged and put everything on the truck without issue. They were careful but fast and efficient. They stayed in communication with me throughout the move and delivered everything on time as quoted. Unpacking was quick and painless as all my items were unloaded to the rooms I requested and they even put my beds together. Everything made it in one piece. I would highly recommend GPS to anyone who needs an honest reputable company with reasonable rates to move them.

My wife and I moved from Los Angeles to NC during the COVID pandemic. My initial move was set with another company, through a broker, and it was an absolute disaster. I called Tammy because I wanted to go directly through a moving company and it was VERY last minute–like the same week. Tammy and her team were absolutely fantastic. Moving cross-country is a completely terrible process, but she made it doable. Don’t believe any other reviews that say terrible things. The reality is that moving itself is awful so many times that gets blamed on the company. Know what you want though. EXPECT TO PAY FOR EVERY LITTLE THING. IT HAS TO BE IN A BOX and it takes up space. Expect that your items MAY get transferred to another truck if you’re going long distance. Ask about the route plan. Tammy was fantastic with helping with this, along with insurance. All in all, 100% recommend Tammy and the GPS Moving team. Not sketchy, great teams, excellent results.
Diana P. ★★★★★
First thing I have to state is GPS Moving staff communication was the reason why I choose them. They communicated very well before they came, when they arrived to pick me up and after I had been delivered. They were quick and efficient but at the same time cautious when moving my furniture, wrapping them in blankets. The crew answered all my questions whenever I had a concern, always making me feel comfortable and secure during this process. #Tammy was great. She walked me on the phone to decides what we would be moving. #The estimate was surprisingly accurate. The final price was very fair. #There were a few schedule changes necessary due to changing closing dates on my home. I can only say great things about GPS moving. We highly recommend GPS Moving and Storage company. I Would not hesitate to hiring GPS services again, they did a wonderful job.
Beefcake Moving & Storage is a full service local and long distance moving company, specializing in commercial, residential, office and piano moves. Over twenty years experienced. Fully licensed and insured. They are the trusted name in local and long distance moving. My realtor recommended beefcake moving after several of her clients used them are were extremely happy with their service. Let me start by saying this is an excellent company run by very professional human beings and with highly skilled movers. On move day the crew were on time and did a very hard job. They were cautious with my belongings which they covered with blankets and plastics all around. I had so much stuff i was afraid it would not all fit on the truck, however Sean assured me based on his many years of experience it would. They filled up the truck without any complaints and only took a short break for lunch. At delivery everything arrive in excellent condition. Their care for my things was second to none. I highly recommended this man power!. Five stars isn’t enough. Beefcake Rocks!!
Crystal Faust ★★★★★
I liked the Beefcake movers. They were just normal nice guys that were patient, friendly, helpful and most of all did their job with confidence and was careful on the furniture they moved. I would recommend them to my friends or family. They did an awesome job.

Received the initial quote of around $6,000 which was before packing. No representative from the company came to check my initial pre-packing inventory. I updated my box count twice with the last time they said that it’s getting close to capacity for the truck. Movers arrived and gave me a quote for around $11,000 because of some extra items not on the list because they MAY need another truck. My scam alert went off immediately. This is a move from SoCal to Phoenix of a 1100 sqft 3 br house. In comparison, our move from the midwest to SoCal cost $8000. I called the rep and also received a call from the supervisor who said not to worry. If I hadn’t said something what would have happened? We needed to store our load for a week at their holding place. When we received our stuff I noticed some of our boxes had been broken down and items moved into other boxes or laundry hampers. Also the kicker was I opened up a box with my daughters video games and discovered that her Nintendo Switch box was empty. The system box was there, but the contents were not. When I tried to file a claim it was denied because the contents of each box was not written down. Can you imagine trying to do that? Haha So long story long, if you are not paying attention they will add extra charges and definitely do not label boxes if they are going into their storage place unless you want you’re possessions ripped off. Avoid.

Beefcake Moving and Storage are terrible movers. My fiancé and I moved our belongings from an apartment in Los Angeles, CA to San Antonio, TX. Beefcake says they do long distance moves, but the movers who arrived with our belongings were actually contracted through a third-party. Although they did not pack the truck, the third party movers unloaded all of our items. The first mistake occurred during our pickup. The two movers themselves were very nice and packaged our stuff carefully, but they lost our headboard. Gabby called us the next day asking us if we had the headboard. We obviously did not and she seemed to imply that it was our fault that the headboard did not make it into the truck. Gabby ended up purchasing us a new bed frame free of cost, but I feel like that is because we had not made our second payment for deliver yet. Although giving plenty of time in advance about our first availability date, we waited almost the full 30 day business period. We were available mid-July and waited until mid-August to receive our belongings. Gabby would not tell us when our belongings would be there or even give us an estimated time frame. Every time we called, we got the answer “all of our trucks are out right now”. The icing on the cake was when our belongings arrived and my desk was BROKEN IN HALF. The third party movers informed me that the desk was like this when it was packed into the truck. I received no information from Gabby at all or any follow up after my belongings were dropped off about the desk. I had to call myself to confront her about the situation and since the company had my last payment, I was referred to their third party claims company. My claim was DENIED and it took over 3 months for the company even to respond to my claim. Long story short: Beefcake only cares about their customers when they still owe them money.
After selling my “snowbird” condo, I contacted Beefcake Moving to transport some personal items for me. My interactions and move went smoothly without any issues. I found them to be helpful and professional. Gabby especially was a delight to deal with when I needed guidance.

This is not the first time we’ve used Beefcake. We have probably used them at least 5 times for local moves, never for a long distance move like we did this week. They have never really been the cheapest but we watched them go from rented trucks to their own. Sean has always been fair with us and Gabi stays on top of everything. We always request Daryl as he is the foreman and does a great job.Charles his helper was so polite even I was impressed. We hope this is our last move, but unfortunately we are out of LA and can’t use them again. I give them a 5 star rating. No problems at all.

I hired Big Bens for a long distance move because I felt they were best suited to get my personal belongings safely. I was quoted by several companies. My company was covering the expenses for fight and moving costs but requested I get three vendors quotes for the move and my vehicle transport. Big Bens was just slightly more affordable than the other two. The price was not The reason at all why I selected them. They offered a lot of unique features that stood out to me. On top of everything else they were friendly and respectful. The other two companies were of similar caliber but they were really pressing me every day to make a reservation. I understood the necessity but it didn’t leave a good taste in my mouth. Robin and Richard (our moving reps for the car and home) were very gracious and thoughtful about my families time when it came to making a reservation and planning the process. I had so much to plan around this move and I didn’t get any sense of pressure from Robin or Richard. Big Bens held a strong reputation so it just felt like they were there to help me not just earn my business. On the date of the move things went by very quick so I can’t exactly pull any specific details except for the following two. The crew lead by David were really professional. They made some cool crate for my wife’s mirror. (Will add picture shortly). They also found my old college graduation ring that I thought i lost (it was under my garage freezer). The crew were wearing masks and we were in the family room the whole day siting in our foldable chairs. I can’t imagine anyone wants to move during this pandemic but Big Bens assured me that their movers will be wearing masks and wiping down every furniture and using new blankets. They even helped clean the furniture at my delivery. When they finished loading the truck, David brought over the inventory and I didn’t even realize that they tagged all my items up. The move out took a while even though it felt like a blur. I guess it’s a process no matter what. Delivery took about eight days but that’s ok. We anticipated for 11 days. I’m writing them a review for the following reasons: Quality of work: A+ Timely: A+ Price: A Customer service: A+ Overall score is A + I’m really appreciative for everything they did for me. Moving is tough and stressful especially during Covid, I can’t imagine how it can be even more stressful. They took the pressure off of my family and me. I can not thank them enough for their professional care.

We recently had Big Ben’s move us. And due to a fast closing on the house and the holiday weekend, we did not have time to pack. So we opted in for the full packing service. The crew from Big Ben’s packed every single thing in our house carefully and professionally. With no rush and no shortcuts. The pickup crew was super professional and very friendly. It was totally worth every penny spent for our belongings to be handled with care and packed by them. My sales representative Elvin K. is very knowledgeable in regards to the amount of boxes to be moved and packed. Thank you for making this move less stressful. The delivery happened earlier this morning and I couldn’t be happier. I would definitely recommend them to a friend or family member.

The movers themselves were hardworking and pleasant. The rest of the experience was absurd. Move was scheduled for Tuesday, they rescheduled to Thursday where we were given a window of noon-4pm. Got a call at 3:30pm, they would not be able to move us until Sunday. That was unacceptable, but we had no choice but to accept this. I had asked about the time mentioned in the contract, that they had to deliver our belongings. I had made it clear I would need a full truck and Chris said the days they were allowed to deliver would not be pertinent, as I would use the full truck and the truck would drive directly to my new home. That seemed to make sense so I didn’t question it further. I thought that Chris charged me for a totally full truck, I made it clear we had lots of furniture and would bring as much as we could. Needless to say, I was charged an additional $2,000+ as the cubic feet I paid for was not the full truck. I also had to pay for packing certain items I had discussed with Chris. I also learned when the movers arrived that the truck was not going direct and could take up to 20 days to arrive. I immediately called Chris and the headquarters, I was furious. We ended up having to pay another $2,500 to get the truck to go directly to our house as I had been told it would. The move cost almost double what I was quoted. With a lot of stress, time on phone trying to get clarification. The company refunded us $250 on a $12,000 bill. I am still furious with the credit offered to us, seems like a really great way to make sure a customer will not be satisfied. In short, I would be very careful about hiring this company.

I have been waiting to leave this review since the day our movers were *supposed to come* (yes, they came on a different day than we had scheduled), however quite frankly I was afraid our stuff would never get here. Now that it has (although not really once you consider how many items were broken…), here goes: Little did we know, our issues with Beg Bens Moving & Storage started before we even signed a contract for our upcoming move from New York to California. When Joe (our sales rep) was providing us a quote, my fiancé and I (as good customers) asked several questions to make sure we understood what we were signing up for: – We asked what our options were for self-packing and asked for detailed requirements on what this entailed (which we carefully followed) – We specifically asked how to pack our glass dining table and what precautions to take – We confirmed we could take our live plants – We were told delivery could take from anywhere between 4 and 21 days after the movers came, with a high probability it would be closer to 4 days – We were sold on the white-glove door-to-door delivery service It sounded like a good deal, and Joe seemed like a good guy, so we coordinated a pick-up date – very important since we had a flight to catch to our destination the next day – and signed the contract. For the next several weeks, we packed our belongings, taking care to have everything packed the week *before* we moved so we could provide our final box count to Big Bens as requested. We were aware that if we changed our box count after the cutoff date, we could possibly be charged more. So even though it meant living out of suitcases for the last week before moving, we finished ahead of time – we had a budget to stick to. We stayed up until midnight the night before the movers were supposed to come to finalize everything, including wrapping all our furniture in plastic / blankets as Joe had advised. Joe had confirmed a few days before our move that the moving crew was to arrive between 8 AM and 12 PM, so we both took the whole day off work. The morning came, and we were eager to get the show on the road. We waited… and waited… and the movers didn’t come. We started making phone calls – and not one person was able to help us or even have the courtesy to call us back. Joe was nowhere to be found. Finally, after hours of anxiously trying to find out what was going on, we were informed that we had been scheduled for a move the next day , despite having explained to Joe our flight schedule and that we needed the movers to come on the day we agreed on. The next morning came, and again – no call, no communication from the movers. Finally, they arrived, 2 hours before we had to leave for the airport. The first thing we were told was that we would be charged an additional $800 for our glass dining table and other items that needed to be re-packed, and for living on the 3rd floor (which we had clearly told Joe). Oh, and our plants? The moving crew scoffed at us – you can’t take plants to California; you’re crossing state lines. So much for that. Thanks, Joe. The movers packed and moved out our things – not in a particularly hurried manner – even though we had expressed several times our urgency to get to the airport to catch our flight. The movers then proceeded to rush us through paperwork and we were on our way. The days started passing. We waited four, five, six, seven days and finally called to get an update on when our items might arrive. After another several failed attempts to connect with anyone at Big Bens (again, no one called us back), we were told our items were on their way with our driver. Eleven, twelve, thirteen days passed. We called again, several times, to get an ETA (only then were we told that the 4 to 21 day estimate was business days, not calendar days and that our driver was making multiple stops throughout the United States). We were still not provided an ETA since nobody seemed to know the driver’s route (?!). Finally, the driver arrived (on less than a day’s notice, even though we were told we would get a 48-hour notice). We were relieved – at least our items had finally arrived (after 3 weeks). As soon as the driver opened the truck, the anxiety kicked in again. The truck was packed with such negligence, it looked like everything was going to be toast. And we weren’t wrong. As we started helping the driver unload the truck (so much for that white-glove door-to-door delivery), the damage had become apparent: – Multiple boxes labeled “FRAGILE” on all sides – crushed – Our glass dining table (that we were charged extra for packing when the movers came) – shattered – Both of our dressers – warped as if they had been left out in the rain – Our couch – totally stained and ruined – The list goes on… PLEASE STAY AWAY. THIS COMPANY IS TRASH.
