I can say hands down, the BCM’s are the best moving company I’ve worked with and I’ve moved a lot over the years. I’ve moved internationally and done a number of moves from the West Coast to the East and back to the West, up and down the West Coast and within Seattle. I waited an extra week so that I could work with them rather than another company.
My last movers broke a few family heirlooms and then tried to manipulate things to suggest I didn’t get the full insurance when I explicitly requested it and had emails to back it up. I had to hire a lawyer to get them to pay up. Needless to say, I was a little distrustful of movers and wanted to make sure they knew that I had some fragile items. They assured me they’d take good care of my things.
It was a 2-day job. Pack up my condo in Seattle on Day 1 and drive to Portland to unload and set up my things on Day 2. They were so friendly and extremely careful of not only my items but the elevator, walls, carpet, and were also reliable. They even helped unpack my car with some items I had loaded myself. I watched as they took heavy things around turns and stairs and they were so well aware of how things would fit, it was amazing.
I’ve now unpacked everything and not one thing was broken or scratched. Impeccable work!

I booked Best Coast Movers for a move between apartments downtown. Overall they were a very hard working crew that got the job done quickly and cleanly and I would book them again.
Two positive details that stood out from the move:
1) The team had all the necessary “white glove” gear for the move so that none of my furniture was damaged and nothing in the apartment was damaged. However when moving into the new apartment my oversized couch slightly scuffed a wall. I hardly noticed it, however a team member was quick to point it out to me and offered to take it off the final bill. This wasn’t necessary, but the honesty was appreciated.
2) There was a snafu with my new apartments loading dock being double-booked that delayed us ~30 minutes, which was completely out of control of the moving company. Out of dumb luck Best Coast had another crew finish a job nearby, and instead of just going home they brought the 3 extra men to help out my move so that we could finish within the original timeframe.

We had nothing less than a superlative, extraordinary experience from start-to-finish with Two Men and a Moving Van. They accomplished a lot more in 3 hours than we would’ve (or would care to) across several days. We’d wholeheartedly recommend them to mitigate stress and remove frustration from your move experience, and want to describe the whole process and call out some specific key points as to why, in hopes this will help with YOUR decision:
– We sent project quotes to 10 moving companies on Yelp. As we narrowed down the candidates, Two Men and a Moving Van was available on short notice and ready to help. Paul stood out because his replies took into specific questions we asked from the onset, and didn’t feel like a generic autoreply that needed more prodding. Through back and forth messaging, Paul assuaged our concerns.
– Next up was calling their office to talk to Elena, to formalize the booking details. She was thorough and methodical in walking through the process and pricing — something that was consistently reiterated, which we appreciated, since hidden charges suck. Their billing structure is very fair. Anyway, we’re generally well-organized, and in the best interest of setting expectations, we sent a webpage created with Notion that showed pics of the key items to be moved.
– Oscar texted us shortly afterwards to coordinate further details, and when we asked him about leaving items in drawers to save time, he communicated with a very responsible answer regarding the possible risks and balances with that. We’re doing a same-building move so it’s not a huge distance, but nonetheless, the clarity was appreciated.
– On the same day of the appointment, Russ and Dan reached out with a phone call, about half an hour before the appointment, to let us know they’re on the way. Again, we emphasize: we’ve had spotty results with some home help before, where they weren’t reliable about updates, showed up late, etc. But TMAAMV excelled across mediums: text messages, phone calls, and eventually as we’d find out, being in-person.
– Russ and Dan met with us, wearing face masks in these COVID-19 times and observing proper protocols, and after lifting their tools off the van (yes, literally two men and a moving van), got to work. They have a tremendous synchronicity between them, multitasking on smaller pieces of furniture, or teaming up to move a bed and couch. They confirmed they’d done many jobs together, and it was poetry in motion watching them weave back and forth, around tight corners with their dollies, and using hands to prevent items from dropping as they loaded up stacks of storage containers and other boxes.
– We placed Post-It notes in the new apartment to indicate which items go where. Russ and Dan studied the layout, and decided on a plan of attack to get everything progressively into our new home in an order that made the most sense. Our building doesn’t have an elevator that can be locked off, so they had to be even more resourceful in leaving piles of items in front of the elevator, then bringing them up in batches. Each time they had a full load, they’d signal me that they’re ready.
– We also laid down door stoppers for unimpeded access. Russ and Dan literally rolled out a red carpet-looking mat (which was kind of symbolically cool) over our door frame, to ease wheeling in one thing after another. With some of the more ambiguous placements, they turned to us to confirm, and it felt really great to see the formerly-empty rooms becoming more and more of a home.
– Russ and Dan went above-and-beyond when they noticed we had an IKEA drawer set that was falling apart due to wood pegs on the bottom being loose. Dan caught it in time on his dolly, and fixed it up as best he could. I emphasize, these guys were EXTREMELY careful with our stuff, using gentle but strong touches to maneuver, and they did not originate the problems with this drawer. So when it literally exploded and fell to pieces in the elevator, they approached it cooly and professionally, then moved on to the next thing. This was a really nice touch. Similar thing happened with a small cat house, and again, they drew our attention to our issue, recommended how to fix it for the longer-term, then moved on.
– They also paid very close attention to subtleties with the furniture, given their prior experiences with similar types. They were quick to point out our sofa legs could be unscrewed to get through a door frame (I had forgotten about that), and chose the optimal vertical or horizontal arrangement to “Tetris” the most items in each elevator batch. – After all the key priority items were done, Russ and Dan turned their attention to a lot of loose items that we hadn’t gotten to yet. Dan went to the van to get more vertical wardrobe boxes, and gathering all of these strays together was also really satisfying to watch. – We finally finished at exactly 3 hours on the dot. Great job and well done moving out!

They were careful and respectful of my belongings and packed everything well. I did a 2 part move in the middle of a pandemic and *drum roll* it was smooth – thanks for uplift! Moved an entire 4 bed home to a 2 bed apartment and a medium sized storage room. As many pointed, Kevin was among the first ones to reply with no hidden fees and a bargain price. He was upfront about the details and provided good responses. Day1: We welcomed Sam and Max albeit an hour-ish late due to overflow at last job – they informed us well before time. But that was probably the only minor hiccup, On arrival – they were high energy, professional and finished in amazing time. I offered them gloves and masks due to us being extra safe around our newborn and they happily obliged. They were soft spoken, and adjusted to last minute inclusions like a TV and a Treadmill. This involved rearrangement inside their truck but they happily made it work. Job took 6 hours. Would call that day 5/5 success. Day2: Radu and Sergei arrived were first job in morning and they arrived on time and were fast to begin packing the rest of the boxes/furniture for the storage room. I would say they were the warmest and kindest movers we have encountered in the last 5 years (i have moved across 3 states). They were super efficient, and disassembled an ikea HEMNES folding bed within few minutes into bare pieces and loaded into the truck (which took me 3 other friends + beer and 2 hours to assemble one night). Job took 3 hours. I would recommend this duo for best service – if you’re flexible – ask for them. I will be contacting this company again in a few months when i move to a bigger house. 😊

My wife and I bought our first house in the middle of this pandemic and so we shopped around for different moving companies. This was the 29th time I have moved in my life. Uplift Movers has the best, fair prices. Kevin was super responsive, courteous, and professional with providing a quote and working out the details. They helped us move from Issaquah to Bremerton. We went from a 2b/2b apartment to a 3b/3b house. We did the 2 movers + truck option and the whole move (from when they arrived at the origin destination to when they finished unloading at the target destination) took just under 6 hours, which is what I had estimated (keep in mind the 90-110 minute drive). Arthur and Alex were great! They listened to specific things we pointed out and were very careful with everything. They had mentioned that this was a “medium” move, so keeping that in mind, jf you are moving from a place bigger than a 2b/2b residence, it would probably be worth it to go with the 3 movers + truck to save on time. Also, our stuff only filled up about 1/3 of the truck. Overall, I would highly recommend this company. I will definitely be referring this company to anyone I know who is moving within the area they cover; and if I move again (hopefully not for a long time), I will be giving Kevin another call. I am very cautious about choosing a moving company. I think we all are scared to have everything we own in the hands of strangers. I have to say I am very happy I chose Uplift Movers. The communication with Kevin was good. I needed a crew for 2 days and also to combine 2 households and build furniture. I was able to lay out my plan and he had the people there to execute it. The team I had was led by Radu. He is a strong leader and held the team to a high standard. The team moved at a fast pace. Anything I wanted wrapped was securely wrapped and protected. Two Adam’s employees, Gabe and Tyler did the move. They were very nice and professional. They were also more concerned about my furniture than I was. This surprised me. Aside from being easy to work with they were knowledgeable and stronger than any two people I have ever seen.

Recently used kangaroo movers to move from Seattle to Bellevue. Overall nothing but a five-star experience. I got a team of three movers and all of all those three guys were super professional and worked tirelessly to complete the move in less than 6 hours. I was also impressed by the quality of packing and the pains they took to make things don’t get damaged. Finally I want to thank them for proactively wearing masks. I know it’s not easy to wear masks when you’re moving and doing physical activity so we really appreciate it. Overall would recommend it to anyone who is looking to move in Seattle.

My daughter got a new place and dialed 911-Help-Dad when she realized that moving was a bit harder than she thought. We hired Kangaroo Movers on short notice and couldn’t be happier. They were fast, efficient, patient, and careful. My daughter’s new place was on the third floor without elevators and a rather tight winding staircase. The crew moved her belongings without damage, wrapping and protecting everything. All of this was done on about 10 days notice, at a very fair price. What isn’t there to like? Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

Arrival time given is not the time of service, it’s a range of when they’ll show up- I misunderstood that. For example, it’s 3-hour minimum and was give a range of 2-5pm. They can show up anytime between 2-5 to start the job, not that they will be there from 2-5. But I called and they sent my guys within 45 minutes. They were very efficient. Prices vary between cash and card. I would hire them again.

I had a challenging move that involved taking some of the furniture on the roof to get it in/out through a sliding glass door located on a 2nd floor balcony. Seattle Mover’s insurance policy did not allow for this, but they were great in that they provided me with the name/number of another moving company that may be able to tackle the project. Very professional, and it’s a great indication that Seattle Movers value customer service.

Used them for a little move, dispatch was good but movers not. They arrived around 9AM and were super tired. I know it’s a hard job, but it’s company responsibility to let movers take a rest. They didn’t packed my stuff properly and that’s why it becomes scratched. Also, I believe if they were not THAT tired, my move might be twice faster and cheaper.

Over the last 10 years, I have had the pleasure of employing Eco Movers on three (3) residential moves, and (3) warehouse moves. All were very technical moves based on access, the number of valuable/rare items packed and moved, the distance between old and new locations, and the set up of many items at their new locations. Our new apartment building offered free move via Eco Movers Moving Services. We didn’t have that much furniture in our 1 Bedroom apartment, and though “Yeah, that wouldn’t hurt if someone can carry our bed, sofa etc”. I hadn’t expected much from a free move service, I guess. After seeing the level of service, I can say I am amazed. John contacted me right away after the service request was sent (via our new apartment building). He explained the basic logistics and sent me an inquiry form.
On the day of moving, Johann and his colleague came and handled everything with upmost professionalism and efficiency. They carefully wrapped everything, including our super big flat screen TV, and filled the truck in record time. Johann was continuously communicative: He asked, explained and offered solutions for a faster and safer handling of the items. When we got to the new place, they nicely asked where to put the packages, even if it was just a yoga mat. After setting everything up, they checked the final condition of the items before they leave. 1 hour after the completion of the service, I received a call for customer satisfaction survey. And it was an actual human being, not a bot. He asked how satisfied we were and if anything could be better. When it is time to move again, I will definitely contact Eco Movers!
