Moving to a cabin home up the mountains, my concern was getting a moving company experienced in getting stuff up the mountain. Assured by my realtor that local folks are well experienced in this task, I searched for the right company to fit the bill. From my first contact with Laura, she assured me that Smoky Mountain Moving was well experienced in getting goods up the hill. She provided me with estimates, kept me informed and got me into their schedule despite the high season and short notice. Greg came out to the home to conduct his site survey to ensure all went smoothly with their planning. On the day of the move, Michael and Aaron promptly showed on time at my Tampa home, diligently loaded the truck throughout the hot and very humid summer day and finished up with loading up additional boxes and goods out of my storage unit. Two days later, the arrival and delivery at our Whittier home went as smooth as possible, and despite the need to shuttle our household goods from the larger truck to a smaller truck to get up the narrow gravel road, all went very well. With most of the boxes unpacked, to date not a single item damaged or broken. If you need a local move or a long-distance move, we highly recommend Smoky Mountain Moving. A small family owned company, perhaps this is to your advantage as it was to us. Honest and dependable, you can’t go wrong with this moving company. We thought we'd never find another mover like them. After using Smoky Mountain Moving Company for this move, we changed our minds. Smoky Mountain Moving is the BEST we've ever used. The owner of the company, Greg, brought Michael and Aaron with him to pack us. They packed efficiently and quickly, getting everything packed on the first day. The same team came and loaded on the second day, taking excellent care of our things (even what we packed). When they were finished the truck only had about two inches of space left, but they got it all on. At our new place the same team came and brought one extra person, Parker. They began unloading only to find my husband's desk would not go through the doors. Then the owner came up with a brilliant idea: take out the window and flip it upside down to get it in the room. And voila ... it FIT! We can't say enough about the care they gave our items, the excellent packing they did, and their efficiency through the whole process. As I unpack I find more and more how good they really are. Nothing broken, nothing missing, things that go together labeled as they are packed. No other mover has ever done such a good job for us.
