Recently went back to SLO to empty the last crate: w 2 choices: pitch, donate bring back to SD. Bill (owner) Ann (bookkeeper) could not have been more helpful on this occasion or the major move. I really wanted to give them a good review, mostly because the guys that moved me out of my place we're great. BUT the rest of the experience, not great at all. Moved from San Luis Obispo to Salt Lake City. Received my delivery window when my stuff was picked up (about 10 days). That delivery window came and went, with no communication on where my stuff was or notification that is was delayed. The last day of the window I reached out and they let me know they'd check for an update. No update given. Had to reach out again, and was informed it would arrive to SLC in 4 days. Then the new delivery date came and went, and yet no communication or confirmation of delivery. Weekend happened, Monday (still nothing). So finally I call the delivery partner, and they let me know they'll be delivering my stuff in the morning. So much for a 24 hour notice. If you're moving out of state I recommend going with someone who has a guaranteed delivery date and knows how to communicate, unless you enjoy having no idea when your stuff will arrive and spending "just one more night" in a hotel waiting for a response from your moving company. Update: to add to the lack of communication and professionalism, I have found several noticeable damages to my items since receiving.”

I recommend Sandercock highly; they did a phenomenal job for us! From start to finish Sandercock facilitated everything perfectly for our complex, two-stage, move. While significantly less expensive, Sandercock was much more responsive than other companies we contacted. It was easy to get an estimate (no week(s) long wait for an estimate appointment like some other companies) and they were flexible with the schedule when closing/move dates changed. The office staff was professional and friendly. The estimate was done quickly and all of my questions were answered clearly. The crew was friendly, efficient, and polite; they maintained a positive, cheerful attitude while working very hard. Hallways, floors and doorjambs were covered so that nothing was scratched or damaged. Furniture, the TV and other Items were wrapped securely and safely. The entire process went quickly and the crew was responsive regarding furniture placement and set up. As an added perk, Sandercock provided free wardrobe boxes which made moving the closet as simple as it could possible be. I have moved many times, but never felt so positively about the company and crew I worked with. Sandercock gets my highest possible recommendation!”

Our move was complicated with stuff from 3000 sq feet getting staged in two steps with complicated instructions from a single level home to a four story townhouse. Nothing was lost or scratched and everything ended up in the designated level (including a stone table to the roof deck and a "ton" of wood used for shop projects (along with the heavy tools of a woodshop)). The crew showed up on time, listened, offered good advice about dealing with delicate items (like a large screen TV, oil paintings). Amazingly, they not only had high energy throughout, but were actually cheerful in doing the heavy lifting. My wife dealt with the office staff and reported nothing but courtesy and responsiveness to our shifting (in time) need. I'd give this company five stars, but I'm generally new to Yelp rating and have no similar experience to compare Sandercock to ... so I backed off a notch to perhaps add some realism based on satisfaction.”

This was the best move I've ever made. From the time the estimator arrived until the time the movers left my home, it was an excellent experience all around. They were very, very careful with the items that I asked them treat delicately. Excellent packing, on time every time, friendly, professional service. I definitely recommend Sandercock to anyone who needs to move. The final cost was 6% higher than the estimate, but that is because I asked them to do additional things that came to mind during the move. I believe that they could have reasonably charged more than they did due to my additional requests. It was a very fair price. Highly recommended.”

police charges should be brought up against Ann who ,as we were driving across country on a long distance move , said our load was almost 2000 dollars over what was quoted by Bill then the same day and the next she told us it was 10,000 then she said 12,000 what a lie !!! We had to get re-weighed and the numbers were 4 thousand dollars lower than what she was rudely insisting we owed ..CRIMINALS!!! The owners girlfriend???? We were never allowed to speak to Bill who gave us the original quote. While the workers were fine, who packed our stuff, she was annoyed when I asked for another person to help as only the driver and one person showed up (another bad time) I asked Bill to give us worse case amount and he told me I would not be charged more that 10% after that amount NOT TRUE!!! As bill did not put the customer first and make sure it was written down. Bait and switch Bill and Ann needs to fired just for the stress and worry he she cause our family! I will be reporting this CRIMINAL company to the higher ups .. There is criminals here!! Beware!!!”

Estimated $8,500 for interstate move, estimator had access to everything, walked through house and storage to make estimate. While we were on the road traveling to our new destination we got the call, they said actual amount was going to be $11,100. That's 30% price hike! "It was heavier than estimated" was the justification. They never provided me the weight documentation of the truck before or after loading, they just expected me to eat the extra costs without question. I'm currently undergoing another move with another company, and they were appalled at the paperwork, lack of weight specs on the paperwork, and general dodginess of the numbers. I'm currently using the paperwork and experience on each of my quote requests to illustrate to their representatives: "This is the kind of rubbish that will not be accepted."”

I have to say my worries were unfounded. Our move went flawless and Marty and his crew made the process as painless as possible. Tailgating, racing around you to get in front of you, forcing their way in between you and the car you were following without using their turn indicator. (There really wasn't a safe gap). Following them for a while I observed more of this rude behavior. This was not one of their moving vans but a company pickup truck. But reading the other two comments, it is indicative of the service you can expect. You would think since their job is as a professional drivers they would act more professional on the road and whole driving their company vehicles..”

WORST delivery experience ever!! Ordered from amazon prime with free deliver for mothers birthday gift.. Was emailed by seller saying Sandercock had my purchase at their ware house and would deliver it. Never had any communication from Sandercock. I called and left messages multiple times, but never got a call back. When it was delivered they insisted on charging $160 delivery fee saying they had talked to me about it. They never called me back ever so that was a flat out lie. The delivery man had no documents saying there was a fee. The delivery man was extremely stubborn and continuously refused to listen to my mother and wouldn't talk to me over the phone even though I purchased it and my mother had no idea since it was a gift. My mother was extremely scared, upset, stressed, and fell to tears because the man was so insistent and refused to leave threatening to take back the furniture they set up if she didn't pay them. She was so upset she told me she didn't even want it any more over the phone and just wanted them to take it and leave. After telling them to just take the furniture and leave they said they would leave it and follow up with the seller. On a call to their office, finally they gave an insincere apology and admitted it was an internal error and their mistake the whole time. I almost had to call the police to help because she was so upset and they refused to leave foe the longest time. Sandercock turned this into the most stressful and worst birthday present ever. Avoid this company at all costs.”

Would NEVER recommend this company. My items were crushed and broken including an antique dry sink. A table leaf had a deep scratch, boxes were crushed, 2 lampshades crushed, shoe holder broken. Missing is all my family china and crystal which I am convinced was broken and tossed. Of course no admission of guilt only the driver saying he would 'say a prayer ' for me when I called to discuss the missing items. I filed a claim for the broken/damaged items. For more than $500.00 in repairs to my furniture , I received a check for $39.00. If you are dumb enough to use this company, buy the insurance. It's the only thing to protect you from their lack of competency, responsibility and caring.”

The one star was a gift. They don't have minuses. I'm still waiting for Sandercock to repair the damage they did to the wood flooring when the previous owner moved out. Big promises by the previous owner & realtor that the flooring would be repaired by these yahoos. But they refused to come to the phone when I called. The person who answered said the owner wasn't in the office -- for years. They have avoided me for 6.5 years. Corrupt, dishonest & lousy movers. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SLIMEBALLS.”

I called Sandercock Transfer for a quote prior to my upcoming move. They sent out an estimator, Bill T. We walked through my home as I told him what would be going (it's a partial move) and he was very helpful in suggesting that they could leave my possessions on the truck since I only needed it stored for a short time. He left with all of his information and I waited for the call back. And waited. Called and left a message. Three times now. I'm still waiting! Why bother sending someone out to do an estimate if they aren't going to follow through?”
