Large house (used to be a church in 1800s!) full of priceless (to my mother-in-law) antique furniture and collectibles. Also crated and moved 8 stone sculptures—very heavy and truly priceless, all came thru without a scratch. They’ve also moved several pianos for us and, again, they are real professionals. Moved a large, heavy 100 year-old upright from the house from which we bought it into our house, then years later moved it out and brought in the full grand from CT. That full grand is huge! Watching them take it from vertical on the “piano board” with no legs to horizontal on the legs, in place in our LR was a sight to see. Wow.”

Although we packed all our own boxes, teams at either end wrapped and unwrapped our furniture, disassembled and reassembled the beds and dining room pieces and took considerable care over a couple of old, rickety pieces that I love. I honestly don't really know where to start... I guess I'll start by saying that I've used this company in the past for a VERY local move within the same complex with no issues. However, this recent move from NJ to GA was nightmarish, to say the least. Lou (owner) is a BS artist. A likable guy, but inconsiderate and tardy is an understatement. There was not a single day out of this 4-day move that he or his crew were on time. 9:00 AM turned into 11:30 on 3 of those 4 days. My favorite was the move-in date where we established a time of 10:00 AM. He shows up at 5:30 PM. I'll add that, on all 4 days, I never received a call nor text advising me of the schedule change. Beware of the insurance. I got trapped accepting the basic coverage of $0.60 per pound because I was never informed that full coverage had to be ordered through a third party insurer at least 48 hours in advance, which I gladly would have accepted the additional charge for. This didn't come to light until Lou approached me with an insurance waiver on day 2, when half of my stuff was already loaded. Not much to my surprise, there was a casualty during the move: a $400 bar stool. The icing on the cake of this whole ordeal was as Lou was finishing up offloading me in GA. He told me that no other moving company would have had the flexibility that he pulled for me in getting this move done over a 4 day period (6 if you include the weekend). Little did he know that I used to be in the business and we did moves and last minute changes on a regular basis. Particularly with moves from NY to FL. The best part of this move was when it was over. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because of my initial move within the complex that was without incident. I'd even go so far as to recommend them for a local, same day move. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone for an interstate move. This was my experience. If you go with Princeton Van, I hope yours is better. Hard workers who know what they're doing, but I can't get past the tardiness and lack of consideration for the customer.”

The 3 professional movers saved my piano. The buyer of my second property confirmed that I can leave the piano unti January 28th, we closed on the 22nd. I needed to schedule with Princeton Van, we got the date, came to the house on the 28th and the buyer had already had her demolition crew taking up the floor, walls etc around my piano 3 days before. I was stunned. The 3 movers moved my piano quickly and carefully, infact the demolition crew was given orders to destroy the piano, but the 3 Princeton Van movers told them they are picking it up. They told them ok. If I had waited one more day, my piano would have been a junk pile. Thank God for them!!”

The 3 moving guys did a nice job, only 1 broken foot off of a dresser. The moving guys worked pretty hard. The supervisor walked in and said oh "This will be an easy fast move". However, the office quoted me for 4-6 hours and the move went over 8 hours. My desk was not re-assembled and the beds were not re-assembled as my wife told them to finish up and get out b/c our dollar tree was out of leaves. Nothing against the 3 men working but the office should have given a fair estimate. I know I know they will say it's "just an estimate" but come on estimates should be close. In addition all they had to move was furniture and mattresses no boxes no electronics, no fragile dishes, etc.”

Lou and his team were amazing. We had the unfortunate situation that our moving day was the same day the recent tropical storm hit NJ. I was sure Princeton Moving would need to cancel, but as they understood the demands of our timeline, they absolutely got the job done. For those who did not experience it - this storm was extremely forceful, with high winds and rain for many hours. The team pushed on regardless. The care they took to protect our furniture, including keeping it dry, was truly professional. When we arrived at our new house, believe it or not, there was a blackout. But once again, Lou’s team rose to the challenge. Using what was left of the natural light, plus flash lights, they got us fully unloaded, and successfully reassembled the furniture. Remarkable. We were very happy with our move with Princeton Van Service. Lou did a good job estimating our move, although we went slightly over, we were prepared for it. Unexpected things happen. The movers moved our furniture out of our old house and in to our new house with great care. We didn’t experience any broken furniture or items. Princeton Van Service packed four large mirrors four us, and they arrived without a scratch or break on any of them. It was extremely hot both days of our move, yet the men worked very hard and non-stop. They were true champs, wearing masks, and moving heavy furniture. The icing on the cake was when I called Lou to tell him we were missing 3 little furniture feet caps. They were on a table that sat on a hardwood floor to protect the floor from scratches. Lou said he would check the truck. He found them, AND delivered them to our new house. Customer Service at its best. Is any moving company perfect? No, but these guys come pretty darn close.”

**Avoid at All Cost** I have used their service recently and regretting till now. The people who showed up were slow so that it will run on extra hours of service which they will charge you by hour. They will charge for stairs. They have put my carpet on sand while it was unloaded from the truck. I am still not able to clean that sand properly resulting I have to throw it away. Be aware the estimate they give you will run over by $300-$400 more. Last but not least they have ripped my king size mattress during packing (for mattress packing they will charge you extra). They gave a discount of $100 but my mattress is ruined forever.”

We moved from one end of West Windsor to the other - about 4 miles. We had the moving men wrap out large, heavy framed artwork. We didn’t unwrap the art pieces immediately while our new house was painted. About a month later, we h wrapped the art pieces and discovered that a large, heavy framed piece was missing. It was valuable - signed by the artist and authenticated. Lou says our items were the only ones on his truck and nothing was left. We have submitted a claim to the company and to our insurance company. It’s difficult to fathom how a heavy 3 ft by 3 ft framed picture can be lost. Very dissatisfied.”
