The actual day of my move my movers did end up running behind (not their fault and can happen) but I appreciated that they communicated it with me and kept me updated so I knew what was happening and then once they showed up they moved quickly to try to make up for it! David and Carlos were very professional, polite and careful with my belongings and were easy to work with. I am so happy that I chose Prince Movers for my move to my new apartment. Scheduling my move was move was a breeze. Dee Fogleman answered all of my questions and provided a very accurate proposal. I was very pleased to see that he even followed through and stopped by the morning of my move (7am on a Sunday morning) to make sure everything was running smoothly . The movers called prior to arriving and were on time. Upon arrival, they came in, did a quick walk-through, asked clarifying questions, and began their move. They were very quick and efficient. It was nice to see that they were not milking the clock to try to squeeze more money out of me. Way better than other movers I have used in the past. We also hit a snag and there was a delay with moving the items into my new apartment, but the guys were super sweet and did not show an ounce of annoyance for having to wait. They even came back to drop off a box that they had accidentally left on the truck once the move was completed. Oh and the wardrobe box rentals were a godsend!”

The movers came right on time and even communicated with me hours in advance that they may be a couple minutes late (which they weren't). I estimated a 3 hour move but it ended up a 6 hour move. The 3 men that came to help were amazing the entire time, even through a thunderstorm and a complete downpour towards the end of the move. I had recently used Prince Movers earlier in May and would definitely use them again and recommend them. The movers arrived on time and from start to finish were quick, but careful with the furniture. All the furniture was wrapped and protected well, boxes and other containers secured, and carefully carried furniture throughout the stairs and tight spaces. They also rolled out mats throughout main walk ways and stairs and had on protective masks due to the pandemic going on. I also had large furniture that needed to be disassembled and reassembled which was done fast and carefully. My neighbors even commented on the movers and noticed how everything was wrapped nicely and carefully placed items in the truck. As long as you pack everything up in boxes and just have furniture remaining, everything should be pretty quick. They charge by the hour and my whole process was 4.5hrs and they didn't waste time. I chose 3 movers which was more expensive, but things were done more efficiently and definitely saved me time. For example one would pick up boxes and other two would disassemble, carry, and reassemble furniture. After the process done, they walk with you throughout the house checking furniture and walls with a check list making sure everything is okay before leaving. I also spoke with the owner who was very nice and inquired as to how the service was which was great. You can tell he genuinely cares about the service and that you're taken care of. Again I'd recommend Prince Movers to friends and family and use them again down the road.”

We contacted Prince Movers to help us move out of our 1 bedroom apartment. We had requested a two man team, which we thought would be enough to handle our small space. One of the movers, Alfonso, was pleasant enough and very hard-working, the other one named Mario, had a bad attitude from the start. He gave us a hard time as he felt we had too large a job for a two man team since they had to pass through the garage of our apartment complex. He told us how he was calling his boss and that we really should have requested a three man team. At first, we weren't too upset at his behavior. We explained that we didn't know the job was going to be too much and I offered to help out with the smaller items since they were apparently slowing things down. I carried several boxes, a table, and other small items down to the truck for them. We even told them they could leave additional items behind, like our TV, to lessen the load. We will have to return to our apartment later to really finish the job. Fortunately we left enough time on our lease to accommodate that. Our real problem is that the attitude did not improve over the course of the day. When we got to our new place we noticed Mario was slamming boxes down, even those that were marked as fragile. We asked him to be more gentle with our things and he got defensive. We later asked him to place boxes in certain areas, and he ignored our requests and went on about his business, which felt very rude. We allowed him to use the bathroom in our new home and offered him cold bottles of water, just trying to be courteous. This whole ordeal culminated with an argument about the boxes at the end of the day as we were paying our bill. We left Alfonso a $60 tip for his hard work and Mario a much smaller tip due to his behavior, which he felt the need to leave in our mailbox on his way out. We contacted Prince Movers about Mario's behavior as soon as he and his coworker Alfonso had left our house. They immediately apologized for the poor experience and informed us that they would be taking corrective action. I assume this sort of behavior is not the norm for Prince Movers but I just wish we hadn't experienced the exception.”

Did a decent job moving our house contents. No moved items were damaged. Made some rookie mistakes like bumping upright-turned couches into ceiling fans, etc. Worst part is they bumped something into the screen door on the old house, ripped out some of the particle board and liner, did an awful job of re-attaching it without informing us that it had happened, pretty sneaky. I discovered it a few days later and let the boss know, but they refused to do anything about it. Now I have to replace the door myself to put the house up for sale.”

The team arrived at 8:15, in Covid masks, laid down runners to protect my carpet, and started bringing packing materials up to my 4th floor apartment. They worked steadily until about 12:30, when they cleaned up, were loaded and ready to drive to my new home in Maryland. These gentlemen did not take a break, lounge around or shoot the breeze, as I have observed other moving company employees do! Incredible. Just absolutely incredible! First of all, you can't beat the price. I contacted ~7 other local moving + packing companies and they all quoted pretty much double what Prince charges. Second of all, the movers were amazing. We had requested a 3 movers, full pack + move but something happened/wires got crossed during the confirmation process and they thought we just needed a move. There was no muss, no fuss about the change of plans and they quickly started to put boxes together and started packing. They were super efficient and moved very quickly. There was a 3 hour minimum and they did the entire pack + move in ~5 hours (we moved a 760 sq foot 1 bedroom apartment). Nothing was damaged. Everything was labeled accordingly and packed well. The movers were so nice and helpful! For as long as we're in an area that Prince Movers can service, we'll be using them.”

Moving is the worst, but Mario, Oscar G and Miguel saved the day!! They arrived on time and immediately got to work. The wrapped all our furniture and carefully loaded it onto the truck. Most importantly, they stayed calm, cool, and collected when we had to deal with the psycho building manager who came up to the apartment screaming like a banshee at everyone. They even calmed me down! I think people forget that moving heavy furniture inevitably causes noise. They made sure to empty out our one bedroom in about 2 hours! We arrived to our new house and before we knew it he had all the furniture assembled (beds/ dresser) and in place. They even made some good suggestions on how to arrange the furniture in the rooms. Our 90" couch gave them trouble at both locations, but they managed to move it without issue. Floors, walls and doorways were completely unscathed! So the actual movers were awesome. The guys did a great job. The problem was that when I scheduled the move, the person seemed very confident that a 3 person crew with a 27' (I think) truck would be perfect. Nobody recommended an in home quote or anything and this was my first time hiring a company. It ended up that the truck was waaaay to small. I'm an hour+ away now and have had to go back and forth 4 times. One of the times I rented a 9' cargo van and filled it to the brim. The other 3 were filling my medium size SUV. I still have enough left at the house for another 9' cargo van trip or more. That's A LOT of stuff that didn't get moved. Even if the 4 person team and bigger truck would have been equivalent cost to what I've had to spend extra, the time I've spent has been the worst part. I even called a couple days after the move to see if they could do anything to help and the only thing they offered was a discount on the minimum cost...not even the rates. But that didn't make sense because the length of time wouldn't have made it beneficial at all. So the service provided by the guys was great, they did everything they could to fit as much as they could, but I was really disappointed that I've had to make, in the end, likely about 8 extra trips, 2.5 hours round-trip, to finish moving. I'd recommend an in home estimate before scheduling.”
