We are a family operated/female owned moving company with more than 12 years of experience in the Portland moving industry. After working for other industry competitors, we knew we could offer a better experience for customers, and do so at a budget friendly price point. My experience with this company was absolutely amazing. I was a little nervous about it at first because I couldn’t find a whole lot of reviews on them online, but I discussed it with Maria who told me they while they have many years of experience working there, the company itself is pretty new. I am very happy that I went with them for many reasons, which I will describe in details. First, I lived three hours from Portland and they drove down to Redmond to load my Uhaul. They got stuck in traffic and found themselves running late, and they texted me to let me know right away. When they arrived, they were able to quickly take inventory of what needed to be moved (I was living with my dad, so not everything needed to go). Among these items were a 100+ year old China cabinet with the original glass in it and a piano. They wrapped them both up in blankets and carried them out to the truck without incident. Before we left Redmond, we double checked with them to make sure they knew I was moving to a third floor apartment, and due to a mix up it turned out they didn’t know. But they jumped right in and got it done without complaint. Eddie did let me know that there was going to be a $75 fee for the third floor, but it was not a big deal at all. Altogether I paid $970, including the fee, the services, the supplies they used, and their round-trip travel from Portland to Redmond and then drop off in Vancouver. Other moving companies I checked out wanted $5k+ for their services and I would not have had my belongings same-day. This could not have gone better. I am VERY impressed with them. Eddie, George and Tony were outstanding and I will definitely be calling them next time I move. 100% recommend.”

I have to admit I was a little bit skeptical upfront at the company who relied on the customer to get the the trucks that they pack. Thinking more about the business model in retrospect it's pretty good. What was amazing about this company where the people. Maria was super responsive on the phone flexible when we needed to change times. The true hero of the company is a guy named Eddie. He's one of their lead Foreman and super detail oriented. What impressed me the most is that Eddie is a grandfather and it looks like is 38. At one point I even had my son come over just to interact within because of how polite he was. Every sentence ended with sir or boss.I'm not one that wants to be called Sir or boss but I appreciated the politeness and the consistency of somebody who cared that much. Is packing abilities and lifting abilities we're as good as his manners. I think he played Tetris professionally.”

I’m not sure why the ratings are so high on these guys. Yes they scheduled me quickly (after paying $25 fee to get them to my house) but they did the small amount of work I had to move. They were here less than 30 minutes and I was out $175. No moving people are worth this amount of money for such a short job. Yes they came quickly, yes they did what I asked, but at a HIGH cost. Next time I’ll look for someone more reasonable.”

I am SO happy with my experience with Pack My Truck. At first, the 2 movers were about an hour late because their previous job was bigger than expected. I was annoyed that they were going to be late because I only have the U-Haul for a certain amount of time. But, when the movers showed up they were moving SO FAST. They had dollies ready to go and other moving materials. They were very professional and careful with my items. I feel like I got a great deal because a competitor (College Hunks) quoted me $400 MINIMUM to move stuff from a 1 bedroom apartment only a mile away. My total cost with Pack My Truck was around $200. This company was a life saver for us! We used Pack My Truck to help us move some furniture out of our house and into our POD and they had a great deal for work under 1 hr. Then, later that evening, we realized that we were in over our heads with moving the rest of our stuff but it was after 6:30 pm so we though we were screwed. I decided to try to contact the company again to see if there was any chance they could come help us again the next morning and the manager not only called me back after business hours but was able to move things around and get 2 guys here at 6:30 am to help us with the rest of our stuff. They brought extra supplies in the event we ran out of boxes and were creative in how they organized the truck so that our belongings were secure while not having to use as many boxes. They were honest about pricing as well - they even recommended that I should buy tie downs at our hardware store rather than from their company because it would be cheaper for us! I can't recommend them highly enough, they were the best price on yelp, had excellent customer service, and wrapped our belongings so that they were safe on a 1200 mile road trip!”

We moved from NYC all the way to Portland, OR. We had all the arrangements planned out except for help unloading our things from a 22' Penske truck. I reached out to a couple of movers in PDX 3 days before we needed help and Maria responded immediately. Because it was so last minute, she was almost fully booked but made some arrangements to work around our schedule. We were moving into a condo complex and they had strict rules around the hours that we could move. Our flight arrived early and we arrived sooner than expected and Maria was so flexible in having her team show up early to meet us. They were so professional and took care of our things like they were theirs. They assembled furniture for us, moved things to where we wanted them, and also did a walk through to make sure we were happy with everything being where they were. They were super fast and friendly as could be. I only wish our movers on the outbound side were as good as Pack My Truck. I should mention that their prices are fantastic as well.
