I contacted this company on short notice to have my large furniture moved into storage after the first mover cancelled on me. John (the owner) was very professional and worked with me knowing I was in a time crunch. Not only did he come through with lightening fast speed, he sent a crew that was nothing short of exceptional (Blake and Adrian). The two movers showed up and went straight to work. They were fast and efficient. Most importantly, they never let a moment go to waste even though this company charges by the hour.These gentlemen were extremely conscientious when they moved the bulky furniture around tight corners and narrow hallways. Normally I anticipate a possible nick or scratch in a wall when moving larger items. Its something that can happen. They left nothing behind but empty rooms. They kept me in the loop as far as how I wanted things moved or wrapped for transport. They were very courteous and treated my belongings with extreme care. When everything was finished, I simply paid them for the time they spent moving my belongings. It was a guarantee made by John and it was a promise he kept. No hidden charges. The price was reasonable, and money well spent. I didn't have to ask them about fine print, or additional fees that were never disclosed upfront. They even accept payment for services when the work is complete, not before they offload the truck (which is a common practice with most "big name" moving companies because they have you over a barrel). I can't stress enough how satisfied I am with the level of performance and the degree of customer satisfaction given by this company that truly exemplifies "under promise and over deliver". I will keep their number on hand and refer them every time I hear of someone needing their services.”

We used Moving Day to move us from Colorado Springs to Monument. We were extremely happy with this move, and especially impressed with how they handled a difficult situation. We would definitely use them again! Here's how our move went. We were expecting two 25-ft trucks and a 6 man crew, but on the morning of the move, John called and informed me only 1 truck/3 man crew would be available. I appreciated the heads up and communication, and I was fine with this as long as they could finish the move that day, which they did. It was also a cheaper rate this way. This was a huge job. We had a pool table, a massage chair, a piano, a huge amount of carpentry equipment, and lots of furniture. I still don't know how they managed to complete this move three men short. The crew was pleasant and did a fantastic job moving all of our things. During the move, someone from the crew knocked over a brand new $1500 piece of computer equipment we left on the counter. At this point, I thought, great, we're out $1500. This sucks. Most moving companies, large or small, would ignore you and not take ownership of the issue. I was surprised to see that John was eager to make this right for us. He called the insurance company, and unfortunately, this item was only covered by weight, which wouldn't even come close to the cost of the item. John instead paid out of his own pocket to rectify the situation. You see someone's true colors in situations like this. John is an honest person with a lot of integrity. You just don't see this type of customer service with moving companies these days!”

I moved Nov 13, 2017 (again...see first review 4/8/2016). I was so overwhelmed I was wiping teaaI am writing to let you know about our unhappy experience with "the Moving Day" during our move from Monument to Colorado Springs the first week in October. First, he called at 8:30 for a 9:00 arrival, telling us he would be two hours late. For such a big house, that seemed odd. They did not get underway until noon, 3 hours later than promised. Second, John did not plan for our big house. I called and asked him the day before the move about his company's capacity as well as several minor questions about moving the tv and reminding him of the overnight move. He said that he would have to determine whether or not a second truck was needed when he arrived and that he could call for a second truck. Of course on arrival, he needed a second truck. But this truck was with another company who was not told that the truck was needed for storage overnight. So, on arrival, he discovered it could not be used due to the overnight, and John had us rent another truck ourselves from Home Depot. Third, the Home Depot truck cost us about $350. I expected our bill to be reduced by that amount. But, John did not do that, claiming that the rate of $125/hour he quoted was for the labor only. "The truck is free", he claimed. So we paid for two crews' labor, using our rented truck and his free truck for Wednesday through Friday. (Friday might not have been needed if the crew and truck has arrived on time Wednesday and with enough trucks.) John should have clarified this with us up front. The contract My husband signed was vague on the details and not what He understood from his phone conversations with John. Forth, his crew was unprepared. They had no tools. We scrambled through our stuff to even find screw drivers. We weren't advised of this in advance. They did not have enough blankets, tape, shrink wrap, and heavy paper. They used, in part, stuff that they sent me to Home Depot to get. For $100 in my material purchases, he lowered the bill by $20. His crew was polite and cheerful and they worked hard when they had direction. However, since John was the loader/packer, he often did not provide sufficient direction to his crew and they sort of milled around at times. rs and chugging Starbucks. Then Doc and Blake showed up. They did a walk through with me and then said "Relax, we've got this." And they did. Once again wrapping every antique in moving pads and actually following the instructions on the boxes for room placement and fragile china. Pleasant, professional, athletic, they did the whole day effortlessly - at a run! When you are paying by the hour you notice the rate of work! No slacking, no smoking, this is a Cadillac operation. Thanks again, Moving Day, you are only getting better. If you are reading these reviews trying to pick a mover, Moving Day never hires day labor to fill out their ranks. These are professionals, and you will feel the difference. If you are female and doing this on your own, pick these guys, you'll be in good hands!!”

I choose this company because of their great reviews. What a mistake! I only needed 3 pieces of furniture moved about 5 miles, but it needed it to be done by a certain date. So I called and was told by John that it would be no problem and we set the date and time. The day of the move I called and John said he was glad I called because he was going to cancel because it might snow. ? I have had many deliveries in the snow. (It didn't snow) When I told him that I could not reschedule he said well we'll see. They show up with the three pieces and take two in and tell me they can't get the third piece in because it's too big. It's 31" and the door is 36". It would have to go down a set of stairs. (That's why I hired a moving company) So I'm then told that they can't remove the handrail to take it down the stairs. But, oh yea, you still need to pay the minimum two hour charge. I've never had any of these problems with any company I've ever had deliver. Lowe's, Home Depot, American Furniture Warehouse, etc.”

Charged us $500, broke our railing, couldn't get the stuff up the stairs. Complete disaster. Moving day on the other hand was fabulous! I can't give them a better rating or I would. Bryson and Mike did a tremendous job. Fast, curtious, polite, professional, and knowledgable. The boss should give them a raise.
