These guys worked harder and faster than expected, especially when it was 95° today in Denver. I never once had to check up on them to see if they were still working. Even offered them waters and snacks throughout the day but they waited until they took a 30 minute lunch (not charged on our time). Eddie P (truck lead) was great. He was very respectful, attentive and was an outstanding leader ensuring his crew was the same. Reece and Jaylon were equally respectable and very hard workers. There were several times the three of them were even running back and forth from the truck. I do not expect that and would honestly say they could afford to take it a bit slower so they don't end up hurting themselves. We were quoted 4 guys and a truck but received 3 guys and a truck. When it came to billing this was a non issue as the rate was significantly below what we were quoted 4 and even with the move taking nearly 9 hours, the quote was still very close to actual cost. If we end up moving again, Movemasters will be the first company I check for availability.”

Everything was a breeze from start to finish. Brian didn't even balk when I panicked and emailed, "oh and we have a grill and a chair and two shelves and a bed frame and bar stools and plate weights that I forgot about!" The movers arrived on time and were very professional. I had intended to move my many books myself, and partway through realized I wasn't capable of doing it all and up to a third floor apartment. I asked if the movers would be able to, and they did (they charge by the hour). They were careful with our things and actually just moved everything on wheeled carts across the parking lot. When it seemed they might not get done in the allotted time, they added an extra mover at no cost. Even with the additional items, they only took an extra hour. This also may be the only move I've ever had where nothing was broken. If you are looking for a local move, I don't think you could do better.”

I could stop with my review there but these guys--because I'm disabled--had to do everything--packing, labeling, moving, unpacking, setting up everything that I couldn't move on my own, or stuff that I just couldn't figure out its exact location at my new home. I can't think of anything they could have done better. When using a moving company, we all have high expectations. But honestly, the best we can hope for is that all of our things make it to our new location with only minor damages. That's because movers, like other service companies who use manual labor, are notorious for hiring low-cost unskilled workers (many times from the Home Depot parking lot on the day of your job). They also cut costs and corners everywhere so they can appeal to customers on price and promises. They promise you'll pay less than if you use the big guys. They promise you'll have the protection of insurance (though they're so good you probably won't need it.) They promise if anything goes wrong you can turn to their responsive customer service department to make things right. And they promise they'll get everything to your destination, in one piece and on-time and blah, blah, blah. The truth is if you're chasing low prices and expecting high-quality performance, you either aren't from this planet or you haven't been burned badly enough to realized the two don't go together. I've moved many times and have used the big guys a few times. More often though, I like to be frugal and usually, I rent a truck, load it, drive it to the new location and unload it. In fact on this move, I considered doing the move myself. My wife (the voice of reason) said that's not going to happen, so I jumped on Yelp and started to investigate local movers. I looked for 4 and 5-star companies. For each company, I read a number of their 5-star reviews and their 1-star reviews (there is always someone who isn't going to like a company regardless of what they do. But other 1-star reviews may have a legitimate gripe.) I then narrowed my list to 3 companies and had them give me estimates. I made a spreadsheet and put down all the things the companies promised and what their different chargers were for the move. The prices ranged from $110 - $199 an hour, plus other little charges here and there. But even after all that research, I just didn't feel good about any of the three on my list. So I investigated 3 more. That's when I found Move Masters. It's pretty bold to say you are a master. If you say you are you better have extensive experience. You better deliver consistent quality. You better leave nothing to chance and you better not have your hand out looking for money before you perform a job worth paying for. After using this company, I have to say they earn their master's claim. Their pricing is simple. There are no upfront charges. They work for a very reasonable hourly rate and add a small trip charge. They were able to give me a COVID-free estimate over the phone after I described what I needed moved and where it was going. They gave me a time range they thought it would take and the guys finished within that range. (I wasn't too worried about paying the crew hourly because, from the moment Jack, Braxton and Raphael arrived until the moment they finished, these guys didn't take a break (except to grab a fast-food lunch on the way to the new place.) They worked tirelessly and professionally. But the professionalism didn't start with them. From my first call to the company to get an estimate I could tell this company was different. I felt I was being helped, not sold. And after we agreed on a work date the guy in the office promised to call me a few days before to confirm the move... and he did. On the day of the move, I got a call from the driver to let me know he was on his way. When they were finished, Jack McDonald, the crew chief took my credit card but said I won't be charged until they call me in a few days to confirm everything went well. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?!? I couldn't have asked for a more perfect move or a better experience.
