Morgan Transfer did our move from Tenino to Olympia. They sent out their specialist Darin to assess what we had and gave us a competitive quote that was pretty accurate. There quote was also cheaper than the other 2 we got from other movers in town. We had nice follow through with Dawn at the main office regarding date and time confirmation, as well as checking in after the move was complete to make sure everything went OK. The crew that did the move was nice and professional. They took great care of our stuff with the only casualty being an old cork board from my wife's office which was more my fault than theirs. They made our move as easy as it could have been and I will gladly recommend them to anyone needing movers in the future.

I had a problem with another carrier being unable to deliver a generator to my home due to the size of their truck. Had it redelivered to Morgan Transfer's warehouse, and they got it to me the next day at my home. ALL of my dealings with this company were super! They were helpful, provided a solid quote quickly, and got the job done. Their warehouseman went out of his way to make sure someone was available to receive the shipment, and their delivery crew was efficient, friendly and professional. Absolutely the best! This company worked so hard to work around my busy schedule when I sold my house and had deadline dates to meet, organized getting crews here even on a Sunday! Most of my household things went into storage, a few things were transported up to my new home in Forks, where they happily got me settled between travel trailer and storage unit. These people are worth every penny paid. I can rest assured that all my family heirlooms will be safely stored until I find a new house to put them in.

My mom was going to assisted living, and we decided to hire a mover. The representative from Morgan Transfer, Darin, came to do a walk through and give me a bid. He was very congenial and very knowledgeable. He gave me a discount that made his bid competitive, and based on his friendliness and expertise, I decided to hire his company. He even commented, when I told him I was going to be looking for a lift chair for Mom, that he knew of a lady that he recently moved that might have one. He even followed up on it on his own time. So, on a Sunday, he sent Kirt and his son to move Mom's stuff. They were also very friendly and professional. It was a quick move, about three hours, and the final bill was more than 100 dollars less than the estimate! I chose the right moving company, and I will surely call on them again.

5 stars from beginning to end! I even spent less than what Darren had quoted me. That NEVER happens with movers. Anyways, Darren came to my home and did a thorough and professional estimate. Was informative and gave me tips on how to make my move smoother and faster for all. I had 3 estimates and chose this company because of his knowledge, attitude, and the fact that this is a family biz for over 40 years. I spoke with Dawn at the office several times to schedule, pay, etc. and she was just as pleasant! The movers were Kurt, Rob and Joy. Yes, a female mover (who killed it) girl power lol. They were fast, strong, and protective of my items. I live on a very steep driveway and they took on the challenge with no problems. Moving is exhausting and getting the right movers is essential. I HIGHLY recommend Morgan Transfer!!! They even offer free (used) boxes which is a bonus! I'd also like to add that if you hire movers, the better attitude you have the better they'll have and that makes the day easier on everybody. I made sure to have drinks and snacks available for them so they knew i appreciated all their hard work! Tipped what I could although I would have given them a million bucks if I could!

Great experience from start to finish. Darin came and did a thorough walk thru and gave me an estimate. I booked my date and it was confirmed shortly after by Dawn in the office. Dawn called me the day before to confirm when the movers would arrive. Moving day came and movers arrived as scheduled. They immediately got to work and worked hard throughout the entire very long day they spent at my house. Donald, Sonny and Mike were amazing. Good attitudes, hard working and easy to work with. Donald actually packed the truck. He did an AMAZING job. I was shipping two Upack trailers to the East coast and he worked tirelessly to fill the first trailer as much as possible, as the overflow in the second will just cost me more money. I was so impressed and highly recommend them. Really appreciate all the hard work and effort to make my move as easy as possible.

The best moving experience I've had! We moved from Washington State to West Virginia. From calling to set up the estimate (Dawn and Darin) to Joy doing the inventory of my belongings to the movers unloading my stuff (driver was Wes but I can't remember the names of each of the movers in Washington or West Virginia sorry guys), everything was done professionally and with great care. I received an accurate estimate with a guarantee that it will not go over (and it didn't). They gave me boxes and moving materials to pack my stuff (I opted to pack my goods myself). The driver called while I was driving across country and asked if I minded my goods being delivered a week ahead of schedule. I said absolutely! My stuff got there the day after we did. The driver, Wes, kept in good communication the whole time. Was there when promised, and his team took great care to protect my walls and floors when moving the stuff in. They put everything where I asked and reassembled all the furniture and beds. They were all courteous, respectful, cleaned up after themselves, and all around AMAZING to work with. Thank you!

I rarely if ever leave reviews for businesses or services, however Darin at Morgan Transfer was absolutely terrific and I was compelled to leave a review. He was professional, friendly, and you can tell he is committed to providing top notch service. I often (probably unfairly) judge a business if they are on time to their appointments, he was right on time, I didn’t have to wait around wondering if they were gonna show up. I appreciate businesses that are conscientious of other people’s time. He came by to give us an estimate to move a piece of furniture in our house, the pricing was very reasonable and the end result was a seamless and perfect move. The company appears to be very well run, not only was Darin great but when I called Dawn she wanted to make sure she gave us the most accurate estimate by having someone come by to assess the move. They provide free estimates, but it was immediately apparent we were going to use them as our mover due to their professionalism and reasonable costs. I have no reservations recommending Morgan Transfer and particularly having Darin as a go to person if you are considering any move, large, small or even a long distance. Thank you Darin!

Great group, movers were professional and friendly. I had an in-town move and they were quick to arrive, pack my stuff up, friendly to my Dog, and overall just pleasant attitudes. Most of my stuff has been through several moves and was expecting some furniture casualties, not a single thing was broken or showing signs of a move. I would highly recommend.

AVOID THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY. This company has predatory practices. They failed to provide documentation. They change agreements without the consent of the consume while never providing documentation, they overcharge and refuse to do the right thing. I was charged $767.00 an hour while another party was charged $155.00 an hour for the SAME JOB! I complained but they refused to do the right thing. They falsified documents and changed rates without me signing then charged my account for the excessive charges. This company is unethical and refuses to do the right thing. I would NEVER deal with this company ever again. This company failed to notify dispatch for a scheduled move so they never showed up. They sent additional movers on the alternate day after they failed to show up and charged me for the extra person without my consent. They again, refused to do the right thing and take responsibility for their mistake. Instead, they charged the consumer the extra cost for the extra person. The response by the company to this review I have given will be responded to with untrue statements as they have with every other response. If you're looking for a ethical company, keep searching....this is NOT one.

I. Hate. Moving. Seriously. My last move was across the country with an inept and down right criminal moving company, so it's not suprising that I was a bit hesitant at hiring another company to move my stuff. Visions of all my things broken (again) or missing (again) or even being overcharged (again) danced through my head. I was so anxious about it that I had my husband pick the company and make the arrangements. It was one of those "don't look at the train wreck and pretend it's not happening" type of scenarios. Moving day came and the two movers (Justin and Matt) showed up on time and ready to work. They listened when we explained what we didn't want them to move, and were super careful with our stuff. They loaded up our entire three bedroom house in nearly two hours, and were just as quick with the offload. They were champs with negotiating our narrow alley and our ridiculous amount of stairs. Plus, they put up with me nearly running into them a few dozen times as I tried in vain to help. Now comes the most important part... Not only did they not break a single thing or damage anything (they didn't lose anything either), they came in UNDER the proposal. Yep, I ended up paying less than what I originally thought for two guys who did a great job. I'm really pleased with the whole experience and really wish more moving companies would take a page out of Morgan Transfer's book.

My husband and I Moved from Tacoma Washington to Michigan and had our belongings picked up June 7th from our home. We paid over $9,000 to the agreed services of Morgan Transfer (affiliated with United) and trusted their contract and customer reviews to safely and timely deliver our belongings. This was our experience: 1- No communication from the Office on the day of when the movers were picking up our belongings 2- On the day prior to the last day of our delivery window, we were informed our items had not left Washington. It took a total of 18 days to move our belongings from WA to MI. They did reimburse us $500 for the inconvenience, which did not even cover our hotel costs or extra meal costs due to having to eat out everyday. 3- 2 checkbooks were stolen from our file cabinet during the move and two fraudulent checks were made out of my account for a total of $990. Given the large expense to move, out of pocket hotel/food expenses, this was extremely stressful. We called and notified Morgan Transfer of the incident, and received no follow up on the matter. We escalated the issue to United Van Lines corporate team, but have yet to learn of any developments. 4- They lost all of our silverware, which was valued at over $400 and was a wedding gift to us from September. We contacted Dawn 3 times about the check and silverware, and she forwarded the information to the claim department. It's been a week and a half and still no response. A request was also sent in to corporate and denied because of a BS waiver that the driver has you sign when they deliver your items. If you'd like to have the driver and movers stay on your property to check off hundreds of items and boxes (took us almost a week to unpack and to fully realize what was missing) then defiantly make that choice. We were rushed to sign our paperwork, not properly explained the pages and were told everything was taken care of and to contain the local office with any questions or concerns that come up. We also paid for the insurance of our items- not sure what the insurance was for since they won't actually cover anything. Again, just another way to be taken advantage of. I could continue on with several damaged items and other missing items (such as our bed screws- so nice to finally get your belongings after such a long wait, but still no functioning bed!). I expected things to be damaged or things to go wrong- it's a big move. I wasn't expecting things to go wrong at this magnitude and for the company to do nothing to help out their customer, besides doing the bare minimum. So moral of the story, if you like to be stolen from, taken advantage of, and partner with crooks (not to mention pay an arm and a leg for a service) then book Morgan Transfer. We've moved across the country two times before without any issues from Allied. Can't say I'll be trusting any van lines after this experience. I know it's a lot of work, but if you can, consider doing the move yourself. Definitely do not hire Morgan Transfer/United. *****Update to Review****** Since posting this review on Yelp, we were contacted by United regarding this issues listed above. Shelly from customer service was very helpful and we were fully reimbursed for the missing items and were told that there was an ongoing investigation regarding the theft that was being taken seriously. I was happy to hear this information- as I hope no one else has to go through this experience. Being reimbursed for the missing items was also a huge relief to the financial burdens we were facing from the move. I feel that United did address all of my concerns, which I do appreciate. A couple of other positives to add to this review: none of our fragile wedding gifts were broken. The packing team really did do a great job ensuring those items were securely packed. Although we had the theft issue, the employees that we had direct contact during the move process were very friendly and professional to work with. I know the majority of them did not steal from us, and deserve credit for their hard work and customer service.

After a glitch in scheduling, which delayed my journey a day, the moving experience was awesome. The estimate was right on, the few pieces that wouldn't fit were carefully loaded in my car. The items they wrapped or boxed were carefully handled, as were the many boxes & tubs I had packed. The crew was professional, careful, respectful, friendly, and worked tirelessly to load my 2 crates. I had the best experience w the 2 man crew. My biggest concern was my small load vs a bigger job, resulted in me being rescheduled. I do however recommend Morgan Transfer.

They were down to earth & helpful throughout the whole process, which is great since moving kind of fries my brain. They came to our house to see our belongings first hand so we didn't have to fill out some awful online survey to say how many boxes at all. That was a big reason why we chose Morgan Transfer. It's just simpler to have someone come and see your stuff. I had to play phone tag with Dawn at their office once or twice but she was great too & it was worth it. The final cost really did come in under their estimate so that was a nice surprise too. They explained how weekends have a 4 hour minimum by state law, and then there is a higher hourly rate for weekends, none of which we knew. That helped us to choose to move on Friday instead! They were quick and time efficient & we had them dissasemble & reassemble our king frame / mattress and that went well too. (We moved our own computers & TV just because that's always what we do, but I think they would have done well w/that had we let them move that.) For us, we don't have pricey heirloom belongings- just the basics, and these guys were fast & efficient & cost effective w/ no drama. I would definitely recommend them.

He even suggested we call one or two other companies to make sure we were getting the best deal. There are a lot of sketchy moving companies out there, do yourself a favor and use MT if your in or near Lacey or for an out of state move

We needed a local company for a local move in an extremely short timeframe. I was nervous being 36 weeks pregnant with a deployed husband that I might get swindled, but I was shocked by how fair Morgan Transfer was. I had a quote within a week, which came in under the others, and they arrived 15 minutes early on moving day. I was quoted 6 hours for the move, and it took less than that. They were diligent in cleaning, packing, prepping, and communicating through the whole process. I'd definitely recommend them and use hem again!

Andrew Beckes of Morgan Transfer in Lacey agent for United Van Lines came today to do the estimate for my move. After some miscommunication with United Van lines corporate I was a little dubious. Not to mention my anxiety at facing a move of over 1400 miles. Andrew was absolutely great! He took the time to go over everything and to look at exactly what I wanted packed and shipped. We discuss logistics. And the price of his estimate was almost exactly what I thought it would be. After meeting with Andrew I'm confident that United Van lines through Morgan will do an excellent job of packing and moving my things. To Andrew I'd like to say 'job well done'.

Moving is a pain. And at my age, I've moved enough times that I've had plenty of bad moving experiences. Thank goodness for Yelp and all the good reviews for Morgan Transfer. I take Yelp reviews with a small Siberian salt mine when there are just a couple, because friends and family could write good ones and competitors might write bad ones, but when a business has as many good ones as Morgan Transfer, I figure someone either has a *really* huge family or the reviews are accurate. I am here to tell you the good reviews aren't kidding. Though I only moved a few miles and had already moved all the small stuff, Johnny and Kenny (?) did an awesome job with my furniture and even came in under the estimate, saving me a fair chunk of change. I hope this is my last move until I either go into assisted living or the funeral home, but if it's the former, I'll be calling Morgan Transfer again.

I hired Morgan Transfer for a cross town move for some heavy specialty items (pool table etc.). I was very impressed and I would whole heartedly recommend Morgan Transfer and would use them again. I had previously hired a company that specializes in pool tables for our last move and Morgan Transfer was far superior. The process started with a quote where Darin came to my house and looked over my items. I was very impressed with the attention that he paid to assessing the items, his overall knowledge, and his concern for the best move for my items and the safety of his crew. I received in person quotes from two companies and knew that Morgan Transfer was the right company based on the level of attention paid during the quote. Darin's walk through took about an hour while the other company walked through in 10 minutes barely glancing at my items or asking questions. Moving day went very smoothly and I could not have asked for a better experience. The crew was hard working, efficient, and professional. They arrived at our house on time. They were able to get the job done faster than the quoted time while still taking the time to be careful and safe and we came in under budget. The crew arrived with carpets, rugs, and blankets to ensure that not only our items were protected but they covered the walls, stairs and windows to protect them from scratches. I have never seen a moving company do that to this extent before. My husband and I were both very impressed. Thank you Morgan Transfer!

Look elsewhere for your moving needs. This company has unethical and predatory practices. They falsify documents, fail to gain consent for additional charges, fail to even show up at scheduled dates and times. Then, when they reschedule their mistake, they charge you extra.

I would definitely recommend Morgan Transfer and Darin Michael to any of my friends and family. Darin went above and beyond what we ever imagined. Moving is of course a nightmare when you do it yourself, but Darin brought a team in and packed us and moved all our household goods without any damage and more importantly right on schedule. I had the most wonderful experience using this company to move two separate shipments from WA State to Maryland and from WA state to Alabama last month. No promises (or furniture) were broken, the dates and cost were exactly what was told to me. Actually, I received some money back because the weight was a little less than estimated. Darin knows his business and gave me some tips that were right on point. I would definitely recommend this moving company based on my experience.
