I can say, with confidence, that all aspects of my interactions with the Employees of this Company were positive and professional – from the initial call for a quote – to the final unloading was completed (and everything in-between). Dwight arrived on time to our consultation appointment. It took about 20 minutes for him to inspect my Home plus Contents and make a decision on how much time or crew would be needed for this job. My particular needs included a full-service move: where Meek provided the Manpower to pack-up and load the contents of my home into on-site storage containers; as well as provide boxes, blankets, packing material, and tape; then upon the arrival of these containers at my new location Meek then provided the Manpower to unload my Contents and re-set all disassembled furniture back into the new settings. Adeacia was very responsive after this 1st visit, as she followed up with a written estimate the next business day – that incorporated everything I would need to successfully move. When moving day came, Dwight arrived on time with his Crew and they began their work. It was quick, organized, professional, and they made the entire packing and loading process look smooth and easy. The crew communicated well with each other, asked me questions when needed, and worked swiftly but at the same time not rushing or mishandling my possessions. The Crew literally emptied out my entire home: from beds taken apart and wrapped nicely, to towels packed up, to office trinkets wrapped up tightly, all the way down to some custom hardware from the walls (that I requested they remove). Dwight magnificently packed my entire life into two 16ft shipping containers. I had gotten 2 other quotes from Moving Companies and Meek’s was the best value. It was a win-win situation. Move-out process was extremely successful. On the day of move-in, a three Man Crew arrived and did a quick walk-thru to pin-point where the items would initially be placed. Two of the Crew had participated in the 1st leg of this process, and they remembered me – my furniture – and my Kid’s names! Luckily, everything was (for the most part) still in place and due to the fantastic way Dwight packed everything in, there was little shifting overall. The Crew methodically and carefully unloaded all contents, and once again made it look too easy. They even double-moved boxes that I wanted to put in other rooms and took time to help me locate very specific items I was looking for. Very professional interactions the entire time. The Crew re-assembled the beds, placed the furniture where requested, and took their time navigating large pieces around tight corners. Move-in process another success. Overall, I cannot speak well enough of Dwight and this Crew and this Company. My experience with them was very positive and very cost effective. If you choose this Company to work with your Family and your personal items, I do not think you would be disappointed. Meek Movers was good to me, I appreciate them a lot.”

At 5pm the day before our move I called to confirm they would be at our house at 8am the next morning and was told they won't be able to make it. Less than 24 hours before our move! If I could give a -10 I would. I reached out to movers to assist in a great opportunity. Wife of Mr. Williams was VERY unprofessional. Informed our office they would be there at 2:00 p.m to assist an applicant and did not show up. Instead of informing main office whom would have cut the check they contacted applicant to state they would be there at 3:30 p.m and still did not show up. Applicant was shamed for being an displaced Hurricane victim by Mr.Williams wife. Upon calling to see what the issue may have been in order to get it resolved the wife became very snappy. It is ashamed when you try to work with Black Owned Businesses and they are down right nasty. This establishment shows why people ask for the other folks to do their work. I would like to say Mr. Williams himself was very nice and well spoken, but due to his wife he had to miss out on a great opportunity. I would not refer this business to someone who needed a fork lifted from one room to the other. The star is there due to the only way I could post was with a one star.”

I wish I could give more than 5 stars to these gentlemen. Wow, just wow! Hired Meek Movers to move us from one house to another. They had the entire job done in about 2 hours, which totally blew my mind. I thought this would take most of the day. They padded and wrapped our furniture to protect it, took items apart and reassembled them, new every precise angle to get large furniture safely in the house, and worked with a quickness I rarely see. If you looked up the word "hustle" in the dictionary, you'd see a picture of these guys. Could not be more pleased with this experience. 10 stars!”

This moving company said they would move my belongings at in the morning and then they turned around and changed the appointment time. They had previously moved my thing and knew exactly what I had inside or could have come out and accessed my property. Long story short they left my property unsecured and door wide open and didn’t complete the labor they came out to do. I’m in the process of pursuing this situation further; I would look into using other companies such as S&Q.”

Isn’t it such a coincidence that they moved my furniture and rather than my sister and brother they are the only ones that knew I had a storage place and several weeks later my storage get broken into, and the same TV that they were asking to buy ( super inappropriate and unprofessional) is the same televisions along with others stuff was taken. On camera it show they cut the gate went straight to my storage robbed me blind 75”, 70” and so much more. They had masks, gloves and back packs. Thank god I have insurance but it’s a major inconvenience. I’m mad I gave them 20.00 tips each when they moved me. Ijs! This all just broke my heart.”

So a week ago, I called scheduled them for today 8-7-19, yesterday 8-6, I called them for over 7 hour period to confirm, in 7 hrs, he ignored my call, how I know he ignored my call and text, is I had someone else call last night and he picked up immediately, I turn around and call right back on my phone, he again didn't answer. This morning, (day of move) he wouldn't answer my call, so, I had someone else call. She spoke with him, he said he didn't have anyone on schedule by my name. So ,I call from my partners phone, he answered and he played dumb for a few, then admitted he didnt put me on his schedule. Funny, how he didn't remember but would never anwser my calls, but would for others. I read their reviews, was a little concerned about pple saying no shows, robbed them, I was trying to give them the benefit of a doubt. Again, I see why their ratings are going down.”

What can I say about this moving company.....well I had used them for 3 past moves and they were great! I called to hire them for another recent move. I called 3-4 times just for an estimate. Spoke with a representative at the company and was told someone would get back to me with an estimate. Several days went by and no call back. Called the company again and spoke with the previous representative and was told " I've been very busy and sorry I haven't gotten back to you but I'm off tomorrow and I will send it to you". A few more days went by and I still hadn't received an estimate. My best friend in Alabama sent me a text message informing me that she had received an estimate for my move in her email. The day before my move I called the office again spoke with the previous representative and made him aware that he had sent the estimate to the wrong email and his response was " I don't know how that happened". I inquired if I had actually been put on the schedule for the move and inquired about a show time. I was told the show time would be for 9:00 on September 4, 2020. They NO-SHOWED for my move and then I called the office several times and got a voicemail which was full. I didn't receive a call, text, or email from them and this was very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend them to ANYONE looking to move.”

Initially I was happy to have someone come and reviewed positively. Opening boxes it was clear they Packed belongs poorly, nothing wrapped. Lots of broken china. Moving day the arrive on time, Wouldn't listen to the home owner and abruptly left. One guy accused me of racism and boss believe him. I guess it was cheaper to lose business I reviewed appropriately Owner used this app to insult me personally and further accuse me of racism I then checked with the state. He has no interstate license and his insurance is pending dismissal. All one has to do is look up the name on the DOT and NCUC web sites. Bad business beware !!”

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!! They broke 3 antique pieces. My beautiful down couch has 3 oil stains on the fabric that will not come out. They broke all 4 wheels off of my rolling art desk. They chipped the brick off of the steps in my new home with the cart. They also chipped the wood on the house I sold with the cart. They put boxes marked Garage, into the 2nd floor barn apartment which is 200 yards from the house. They unpacked a custom couch and put it upside down in the yard/dirt ( I live on a farm). Then it started to rain. I had to ask them twice to move it into the house. They were sloppy and careless. They did not care about what they were moving!!! They used the packing supplies that I had in my house, instead of using their own. Those supplies belonged to someone else who had helped me pack. I then had to pay them for the supplies. They neglected to bring 7 boxes from my house. They told me they had brought everything from my attic. But, they brought nothing from my attic. I had to hire another mover to bring the stuff they did not bring. There were some valuable items missing. I contacted the owner 3 times about it, but, he refused to respond to me. I should have gone to an attorney!! I regret not doing that. It was close to the holiday season and I was so upset about the movers that I wanted to wait until after the holidays to seek legal counsel. I was so upset about everything that I just wanted to forget about what happened. I regret that now! In Regards to Dwights response. I did phone Dwight and text him 6 times last year when this occurred. I have a copy of my invoice to prove that I did in fact pay you and that I am not mistaken as to who you are.”

This is so disappointing to write this review, I've used this moving company multiple times and I was actually going to use them again; although I've moved out of state, I wanted to use Meek Movers over a local company because I really trusted Dwight and his team and thought they had excellent service as demonstrated in my last several times working with him. I had set up something but have been totally ghosted by them and now am scrambling to find another company at the last minute. I have not heard from them in nearly a month and have continued to contact them because I could not fathom that they would just ignore a business call or past client. I figured they were busy and he would follow up as he's always done. I've called several times, emailed and even inquired on Facebook, but received nothing. I actually begin to worry that something happened to the company because this was such a stark contrast to what I've been accustomed to. I was sharing my concerns with a friend and finally they said they would call. To our surprise, not only did they answer but they said they had availability for interstate moves. I'm typically a very local customer and so this is a bit disappointing to me as I thought I'd found my go to moving business. I figured I'd try one last time but again no response. I just wish the company would've said they weren't available, but this was unprofessional on an entirely different level. So disappointing…”
