I had a great experience all around with Make Moves! First, I struggled to find a company who was willing to take on a smaller job, since I only needed to move 2 pieces of furniture and a mattress. Bobby, who gave me my estimate, was more than happy to help me and said that it would be no problem. The estimate was spot on, and their minimum was right around our budget for the move. The estimate was easy to understand and outlined exactly what we were paying for, and it was simple to book the service when I had read over the estimate. On the day of the move, Collen and Sam called me when they were on their way, arrived promptly, and were extremely efficient. Since it was a small move, they were able to do it pretty quickly. They had no problems carrying my heavy furniture down 3 large flights of stairs, and they were very careful. At the house, they positioned the furniture a few times so we could see what looked best and were so helpful at figuring out how to get everything to fit in the room. The good: My move was easy to schedule, the estimate was able to be done via email, and they were on time the day of the move. The three guys were pleasant, professional, and worked quickly. The total cost ended up being the low end of my estimate, which was the lowest estimate I received. The less good: There was about a quarter size chunk taken out of the ceiling above the stairs that wasn't mentioned. However this is easily forgivable because I'm assuming it happened while moving a very heavy and awkward item upstairs. I much later discovered that item had had a piece broken off as well. They asked as each item went in which room it was to go to. That very heavy and awkward item ended up in the wrong room and was actually too wide for the doorway with hinges, requiring me to take the door down and move it myself later. Most of the boxes for the second floor were also in the wrong room (the one closest to the top of the stairs, probably not coincidentally), which seems like an easy mistake to avoid when each room upstairs is painted a distinctly different color and each box was very clearly labeled by room color.”

They're professional, reasonable, and gave me a comprehensive quote. They worked with me when I had to change my move date, and the day of the move they had prepared me with exactly what to expect. They sent 6 guys (as quoted) and those 6 guys moved like lightning! I couldn't believe how fast and how well they worked! The move didn't take as much time as they had budgeted (which I appreciated!) and ended up being about 2 hours less than they had quoted, so I only paid for the time the guys were there. The office staff is fantastic to work with, and the movers executed the move perfectly. From start to finish I was impressed. Really poor communication and customer service. Spoke to James who indicated that he was holding a move spot open for us pending a formal quote. We completed the requested information and received follow up emails that the original spot was no longer available -and he needed to change the date. Then received yet another email that they could only accommodate us on another day to which we agreed. Within minutes he responded saying that spot was not available any more (all of this correspondence was happening within the same morning). When I called to ask what was going on he told me he "forgot to tell me that it was all first come first served." There is no way I could have responded faster. Zero attempt to rectify despite them changing the move date and time on us several times in the space of a single morning; we are past customers and will not be using any longer.”

We had to move a couple pieces of furniture from Cranberry Twp to Ellwood City. Make Moves, llc was perfect. Bobby reached out in a timely manner and conversed with me via email quickly while going above and beyond with the information and confirmations that I requested. When I called, Bobby was courteous and pleasant and made me feel comfortable with the move even though I was across the country. Insurance information was active and given without hesitation. The day of the move was even better. Tony and Jeff were PROfessionals. You could tell that this was a job that they cared about - This was their profession. They confirmed that these 4 pieces of antique family furniture were wrapped with care and when Tony gave instructions, they were clear and pointed. They knew how to best navigate a tight stairwell in both homes without any damage to either the furniture or walls. To top this all off, they had a great attitude and were fun to be around. They joked and made you feel comfortable as they carried you irreplaceable furniture while still giving your belongings respect.
