This team is an incredible find for anyone who wants reliable, proficient, skilled service & a group of young people "who really know their stuff", yet care about your personal belongings. We would highly recommend them to anyone! Why? For the following reasons: ***** contacted us within 15 minutes of my leaving an inquiry about their services even though he was out in the field. PROMPT REPLIES! He scheduled to meet us the very next day for an evaluation of our needs. He was not only "on time" but EARLY waiting for us! THEY SHOW UP ON TIME! We had a short time line to evacuate a 2 bedroom apartment with lots of furniture, etc. and had a 40 mile journey to our storage unit which ***** indicated was too small for the amount of "goods" we needed to store! HELPFUL IN KNOWING OUR STORAGE NEEDS ( we rented a larger size). ***** has an incredible amount of experience in this field and put us at ease when he clearly discussed that their operational charges were based on "time", not mileage or gas, but how long from start to finish a job would take. We were also thrilled to note that he was also able to take a "side trip" to the local dump for any articles we were not going to store and knew exactly what their charges were for x amount of pounds. This saved us a large headache as we live 40 miles from this facility. On moving day ***** and his team were right on time as agreed despite a heavy commute from San Francisco and a very rainy day. ALWAYS ON TIME From the moment the van pulled up the work began - every piece of equipment, box, dolly, protective wraps, tape, scissor, markers had been thought of & organized into sections as they were removed from the van into the apartment. Each worker (2 plus *****) was assigned a space and cleared it with quickness and skill, carefully covering, wrapping and taping. SKILLED PROFICIENT WORKERS. The apartment was completely cleared - no trash- all cupboards/closets/ drawers empty GREAT COMMUNICATION- As we were to meet them at our storage facility 40 miles away, ***** texted us when the apartment was cleared & they were detouring to the dump- when they arrived & left the dump- how close they were to us- arriving 15 minutes & they were waiting at the storage area just ahead of us! TIMELY Storage unit assembly order- we had asked that all wardrobe boxes and a kitchen table and chairs be stored up front for easy access. Their van was organized such that the last items to be unloaded were these items! ORGANIZED AS REQUESTED Clean-UP- within minutes of the last item being placed in storage all of their wrap blankets had been folded & boxes, dollies had been re-stowed in the van. The are was completely clean! EFFICIENT WORKERS FINANCIAL PROCESS- made easy by use of onsite credit card equipment and deal is done at end of move! THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS HARD WORKING, HONEST, CARING SKILLED PROFESSIONALS, who offer a fair & honest price for a job well done! I am actually still happy today from yesterday's move using Hauling Moses. I had a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment, equaling 10 large pieces of furniture, over 40 boxes, and many other odds and ends, etc. I estimated it would take two hours to load it. Moses texted me to say he would be early (and was happy to wait when I couldn't get out of work by then). He and his fellow movers, Jozef and Alec, are courteous, professional, helpful, and incredibly efficient. I will never use another moving company until I move back east, which I want them to handle for me as well (Hauling Moses is the sister company to Chico and the Men, which handles international moves). They handled and packed my things carefully, used custom boxes as well as padding and packing materials (free). They had my apartment empty and clean in 60 MINUTES. After unloading and expertly stacking all contents into my storage unit, I paid and was saying good-bye and thank you in well under two hours. They charge a reasonable two hour minimum and it is worth every penny!! If you are looking for an honest company who doesn't just show up with a truck and spend half the time figuring out how to manipulate items into a 10x15 (!!!) storage unit - with room the spare - you just found them. I'm very happy to report that Hauling Moses Moving just successfully completed (yesterday) an unusual and sensitive moving project for us, AND in the midst of the difficult and crazy circumstances of the California Corona Virus lockdown. The move involved helping a long-time friend who was traumatized and vulnerable due to recently being widowed, AND was without local family and friends to help (I live in Washington State). Because she was grieving, confused and stressed from the loss of her spouse a month ago, I was to have personally assisted in the move project, but was ultimately prevented from traveling due to the Corona Virus travel restrictions. Last month, working with ***** in the front office, we engaged Hauling Moses for the project. The original move date was to be for the end of April (a month from now), BUT, circumstances changed and just last week we requested a MUCH accelerated time line. We asked ***** if they could do the project this week (only a one week up-front notice). They accommodated this late change in the schedule with "no problem." Hauling Moses stepped in, and stepped up to the plate. For a very reasonable cost, in the space of a few hours they helped my widowed friend sort through, categorize and package her entire possessions and furniture and then, per the customer's wishes, was able to deliver her categorized items to both local charities and to ReCology (for recycle and disposal). In addition, they packaged personal items for transport to what will be my friend's new home out of state. The customer (my widowed friend) reported to me late yesterday that the team, led by Moses, handled the entire project efficiently (working intensively and quickly), BUT with friendliness and maximum sensitivity to her fragile state. All of this resulted in the customer being completely satisfied, elated AND relieved. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Hauling Moses for any moving project: they are professional, flexible, proactive, empathic and personable, efficient and very cost-effective.”

So let's get the obvious fact out of the way-Hauling Moses is pricier than many moving companies in the Bay Area. However, if you have furniture that you care about keeping in good shape and want a worry-free move, then go with Hauling Moses. We had Carlos and his crew for two days to pack and move us about 15 miles. They packed about half of our belongings and it was clear they packed with great care. Also, all our furniture made the move without any new scratches! This crew worked hard, maneuvering staircases and narrow passageways and were very respectful and pleasant to have around. From my initial meeting with Moses (socially distanced, of course) to the last piece of furniture moved into my new place, this was a pleasant and perhaps one of the easiest moves I've ever had.”

First time I’ve ever used a moving service. $250/hr. Worth the price for the amount of work I had to do, which was telling them what should/shouldn’t be packed, driving to the storage unit to unlock it, and helping with a few boxes (they didn’t ask me to do this, but I figured why not if it sped up the job a little bit). My move was from my 3rd story APT in Belmont to a storage unit in Millbrae.
