My wife and I had them move a 10'x10' & a 5'x10' storage units packed full of various moving boxes, several pieces of heavy solid oak Stickley furniture and a bunch of odd & ends like 5 pairs of skis, snowshoes, bikes, artwork, tools, etc. Nick, Brad & David did an outstanding job, were extremely professional & courteous, and hustled throughout the job. They were so efficient they got the job done about an hour and a half faster than the estimate. They took tremendous care with all the items and we experienced no damage. The move involved loading a freight elevator to the 18th floor. They were prepared with all the needed dollies, blankets even some additional boxes to make the move go super smooth. At times on the phone he seemed rushed, but was always professional and knowledgeable. He inspired confidence in the selection of Fischer Van Lines and moving process. The move was planned for two days. Steve, the foreman, called while on the way. He is easy to work with and maintained a professional leadership attitude the entire time. I was pleased that the same crew arrived on time both days. They took excellent care of my furniture and belongings. All three were careful to protect the walls, woodwork, floors and carpets at both ends. Everyone worked efficiently and took pride in their work. I was particularly impressed with how Steve and Jerome handled a large, heavy armoire. The whole crew also worked together to find a solution to moving a large dresser up a winding staircase. So glad we chose Fischer Van Lines for our recent move. We've had some pretty disastrous experiences with an awful moving company in the past. Fischer Van Lines was the polar opposite of that for us. No delays, no stressful nonsense happening during the move, no damages to property, No shady or sketchy sub contracting to unreliable movers here either. This is how a moving company should work. Charles in the office was prompt in returning a quote from the online form on their website. All the information he gave us was on point and consistent. Contacting him with any questions or confirming our information was easy. There did seem to be a miscommunication on their end about a safe we had but it was not an issue. Our movers, Jay and Derek were awesome! ...I apologize if I've gotten their names wrong. Arrived on time, actually a little earlier than scheduled. I took apart some of the furniture prior to them arriving but that was just because I've done several times before and figured it would easier and help them out as much as I could. We did the walk through and Jay explained everything they would be doing and how the billing would work after completion. They were pretty quick and efficient with moving all of our stuff. They took care to pack and wrap the more delicate pieces of furniture and load them on the truck. Took care not to hit and scratch walls or the bannisters on the stairs. If a piece was a little awkward to move, they planned it out first, no just trying to force it and hope it fits. They asked to do another walk through once everything was loaded up, making sure they got everything they were supposed to. When they arrived at the new house they were still going strong, taking care of everything. Excellent job again from them! Nothing went wrong and no damage to anything. No stress or aggravation, the whole thing went smooth. I felt the overall finished price was more than fair as well. If we need movers in the future we'll be using Fischer Van Lines and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company. FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!!!”

We had Freddy, Jay, Kevin, and Gary move us from a townhouse apartment to a single family home in early December. The move was super local (only a mile away), but the crew hauled ass and got our belongings out of our rental and into our home in less time than I expected. They were super efficient and careful moving our belongings, and also really friendly. Fischer's quote came in under other moving companies we had reached out to, and I'm happy to say we still got great quality service. The only negative was I wish we had used mattress bags on our mattresses. We had purchased several on our own, but decided not to use them at the last moment since we already had mattress protectors on. The mattress covers got kind of dingy in transit, but I guess we should've expected that.”

Fischer moved us on February 29, 2020. They did the following damage: 1. Grove walnut credenza: Leg and support complete broken off. Deep gouge to the top. Dropped the shelves into the stairs. Broke off one of the door pulls. 2. Storage bed: Lost all of the hardware and left unassembled. 3. Sofa cushions soiled. 4. Step stool lost. 5. Peloton exercise bike: Lost one of the feet on the bottom that keeps it level. We paid extra money for insurance, but we've received zero compensation to date. They made an attempt to GLUE the credenza back together. It's clearly visible. When they returned it, they dropped it into the stairs and damaged the shelves. The large gouge on the top is right in the front. No attempt was made to fix. The Peloton bike is still missing the foot. We have to prop it up with a stack of construction shims to keep it level, but that only works for about 5 minutes. No attempt was made to replace it. They stored the sofa in their warehouse. When delivered, that main body was shrink wrapped. The cushions were loose and heavily soiled. It doesn't appear they were covered in the warehouse as they are a visibly darker (soiled) than the rest. Oh, and this was recently upholstered. No attempt has been made to clean it. We have been sleeping on the floor for over a month. They told us they are not able to get hardware to put it back together. No attempt has been made to make it right. We paid all this money and insured the value of our belongings JUST IN CASE something happened. It was a complete waste of money, and the owner is now refusing to return my calls.”

I hired Fischer Van Lines because I was concerned about moving some expensive and irreplaceable furniture and reviews were very positive in this regard. The move went very smoothly. Freddie and his crew did a really good job wrapping our furniture and shrink wrapping it. We had a minor issue with some bolts being bent on a tabletop. Freddie wrote out a damage report and took pictures. My only complaint is that after over a week nobody contacted me. I called and talked to a person who said they would talk to the owner and get back to me that afternoon or the next morning. Didn't happen. I waited and called two days later to follow up. They did resolve my concerns in the end.”
