We used Family Affair Moving to move to our new house on Saturday. This was the first time my husband and I had used movers since usually we move by ourselves since we don't want to spend the money. It was 3 guys and they were on time at 8am and moved our 1 bedroom apartment and storage to our new house in a little over 5 hours which was way faster than we would have ever done it. They wrapped everything so great and put runners down to keep the floors clean! It was so much easier than doing it ourselves and was a great seamless experience. We will definitely recommend this company to anyone and will use them again....hopefully not too soon since moving isn't fun lol! Also one of the guys even came back a little later since we were having issues with our Sleep Number and fixed it! It was great having them un-assemble and reassemble our bed since Sleep Number tried to charge us $200 and wouldn't even move it!”

There are no words to describe the professionalism of this company. Our experience was great from the moment I contacted them for the estimate. Darlene was on top of answering all of my questions right away and she got me haha, I booked them right away. One of our major concerns was moving the piano. Some companies move pianos from ground to ground levels only. But Family Affair Moving agreed to move our piano from a 3 story house, which was awesome!!! We had 4 guys helping us to move. James and his team were AMAZING!!!!!! Seriously, you guys are awesome! They came right on time - 8am as I've been told. They have all the equipment to protect not only your furniture, but your house as well. It's the first time when there were NO SCRATCHES, NO DAMAGES on our walls or flooring during moving. They wrap all of your furniture and work fast. This time moving was so much easier from previous times, and it was not stressful at all. Answered any questions I had and asked questions before they took anything apart or placing items where I wanted efficiently. They wrapped all the big items in order to protect and prevent damage with a thick cloth and thick plastic wrap. Even when they had a difficult time moving our big impossible to fit through the staircase of a couch, they found a solution to put it through our second floor balcony without damaging any part of our couch. Moved on 7/1/20 from Anaheim to Long Beach. While many friends were kind enough to volunteer their help, I was worried that my heavy sleeper sofa would be a nuisance and possibly hazardous to my friends' health to move, especially up a tight corner turn to my new 2nd floor apartment with no elevators. Ultimately after many days of mental struggle to decide if hiring a moving service was worth the money, I ended up last minute booking with Family Affair Moving, and I am extremely happy with that decision. This business has been so responsive, kind, and attentive in their work. Gina (or Darlene) is an organized and efficient scheduler, arranging the time/date/details of the move within a day. She was reliable and easily reached via text- I never waited longer than 10 minutes for any response, even after my first message asking for a quote that was sent at late evening hours. The day of the move, 3 enthusiastic, strong, and energetic men arrived with a large moving truck right on time at 8am and were the model of professionalism. Leo, Paul, and Don worked with a perfect balance of efficiency and detail-oriented care not to damage any of my furniture. They took apart a large glass desk and wrapped the glass itself carefully, reassembling it at the final location with not an additional scratch or chip noted. They thoroughly wrapped my heavy couch and large queen mattress so that no upholstery was damaged or dirtied at all in the move. Through the total 3 hour process, they joked and bantered but worked hard non-stop, which made what I would normally consider a stressful moving experience as stress-free as possible with no loitering or time wasted. In these stressful COVID times, I am sure many people are having to be more conscientious and conservative with their finances; certainly there are cheaper options if you are willing to drive your own moving truck, don't have any tricky furniture to move, and perhaps sacrifice some quality. I struggled a long time before booking this moving service for that reason. Ultimately, I opted to go with a full service moving company and the price I paid was absolutely fair for the level of care, detail, efficiency, and professional work provided. Would definitely recommend this moving company to any friends/family looking for quality help in any future full service move.”

They confirmed the one hour delivery window and showed up right on time. From my first phone call with Gina to the communication with the three movers the throughout the move, everyone was very friendly and helpful! I was given a start time window of 8-9:00, and Desmond, Paul, and Tavo arrived right at 8:00 which was great! All three were incredibly organized and efficient. They moved quickly loading and unloading the truck, and everything was in perfect condition upon arrival and unpacking boxes. They seemed to run like a well oiled machine. We had a storage unit that needed to be cleared out in addition to moving some furniture at our home. The movers showed up on time and in masks. We had hired two movers but they sent us a third at no extra charge! In about 90 minutes they had loaded up our storage unit and another 90 minutes later they were done unloading and helping move stuff in our house, including taking a pull out couch upstairs and then back downstairs when it wouldn't fit in the room we wanted to put it in.
