They moved most of her things, took payment, and told her they would be back at 9 am the next day to finish the job. They never showed up to finish the job. We just had Discount movers move us from San Carlos to Mt Helix. First off they arrived exactly on time! 3 movers came, and in 2 hours they had the heavy contents of our house loaded up. Now the real trick was delivery in Mt Helix. These guys are the best. They had to wheel & roll everything down a steep driveway since they could not drive the truck down. I 2 hours they had placed all of the items in the how in their proper places. WOW! They were professional, friendly and most of all had a great attitude! These guys are not ethical: they moved a neighbor, then backed their truck down the street, tried to turn it in front of my house, and backed into my custom mailbox, knocking it down and bending the steel box, now unusable.. Two neighbors watched them from directly across the street, tried to warn them to stop, then the truck sped away. When I contacted the manager to get reimbursed, they delayed for 3 months then claimed they were not responsible, go ahead and take us to small claims court!!”

They force your furniture through openings that should not be attempted just out of stubbornness. They will argue with each other and and cuss in front of any one because they don't agree or know how to do things. They will take apart your equipment and not put it together properly. Where do I start? Late to the job, multiple broken items including tile flooring in 1 home, bed was built without actually screwing in more than half of the screws on the entire frame, lack of care or consideration for my belongings. When breaking the footing of my desk I was first told to "try and glue it", then told "just call my boss". When the tv was moved while 2 cords were plugged into 2 different outlets which broke the usb to my Roku I was told "we have insurance". Repeatly tried to communicate while one of the men rudely put headphones with music blaring in them. Ended up kicking 1 of the 3 movers out of my home as he was doing more harm than good. After he was asked repeatedly to leave he showed up at my front door making threatening remarks. The list goes on! It was a miserable experience and a miserable move-in day. Do yourself a favor for $500 for 3 hours, call another company!”

I have never had a group of guys so professional and willing and nice as these three young men that moved me yesterday. I have an arthritic back so it was essential that I had someone patient. They even helped arrange my couch and my outdoor furniture and carried decoratives for me. They were very conscientious about which box went to which room. They worked so hard so consistently Both filling and emptying a 26 foot truck over a six or seven hour timeframe. We booked Discount Movers for a recent local move. The team showed up 1 hour late and also had to be constantly reminded to wear their face masks. As you can see from the pictures, there as a lot of damage done to our furniture and also to the walls and doors in the place we were moving from (that was a lot of fun for me to get to spend hours patching and painting that damage as well). I called the owner after sending the pictures. He said he would "talk to the team" and then I never heard anything back. The damage done to our furniture was needless and clearly the result of them not using any padding. Careless and disrespectful. And the radio silence was a clear indicator that the owner was going to do nothing to find a solution or refund our money. We paid $800 for this? What a bargain!”
