It is worth having a representative conduct a pre-move visit to your place, because if your estimate is less than what the loaders put on the truck, you pay a much higher price. Also, when your furniture is picked up, it is unloaded at a warehouse in Denver and reloaded on another truck for delivery at a later date. The truck that came to our place was not really a moving truck but a Tractor/trailer semi. We had some breakage in our shipment which was disappointing, and we were unimpressed by the delivery team.”

WORST Moving company I have ever been associated with and our family has moved 5 times. I would give them 0 stars. We hired them to move our daughter to her first Air Force Base in California. Received an initial quote from Ron of $3500 for full pack and moving, with the stipulation the goods need to be in California by August 1. But we were flexible about when they came and packed to meet that date. Paid an $1100 deposit. We were told a pack date of July 21-22 to make the August 1 delivery date. On July 20 we received a call stating the company was in the middle of a big corporate move and asked if they could move the packing date back to July 23. I said, Yes, as long as it would not impact the delivery date of August 1. I was assured the new packing date would not impact the goods arriving on time. When the packers arrived, they said we needed to provide them with an additional check for $4987.20 to cover full packing because we added 2 flat-screen televisions, a beverage refrigerator, a television stand and a fishing pole (which they lost in the move). We had to pay them an additional $2587.20 over the $3500 estimate. Also, they told us we could save money if they crammed as many clothes in the wardrobe boxes as possible instead of hanging the clothes in the boxes as part of the full-pack& we were quoted. I was also informed on July 23, that they had 21 business days to get the goods to California. When I explained the need to have the goods there on August 1, I was told they would try but couldn't guarantee that date. In reality, the goods were delivered on Sunday, August 11. While packing was going on, I emailed Ron about the delivery date, and he emailed back that they had to tell me that by law but it would not take that long. He gave me the dispatchers phone number to call for delivery time. I also asked Ron about getting weight tickets with the truck empty and loaded with our daughter's items, to submit to the Air Force for reimbursement. Ron advised they had done weight tickets before for military moves and advised he would pass on my request. The packers advised there would be no weight tickets because the job was, too small, thus forcing our family to have to eat the entire $6087.20 for the coast of the move. When we arrived in California on August 1, I contacted the dispatched to see what time the goods would be delivered. At that time I was told the good were still in Denver and would not even be loaded on the truck for shipment until August 4. This necessitated incurring hotel charges for approximately $675 in addition to the $6087.20 spent for the move. On August 9, the driver texted to say the goods would be delivered on August 10 between 1:00 - 3:00 PM. When the goods had not shown up by 3:30 PM on August 10, the driver was contacted and responded around 4:00 PM to say there was a problem with the truck in Arizona and the goods would not be delivered until the following day. However, the driver never called to advise of the delay. Also, at the time of packing, we had to pay an additional $300 for a shuttle because semi-trucks were not allowed on the streets around our daughter's apartment. However, on the date of delivery, the goods were unloaded directly from the semi-truck, and no shuttle was used. As mentioned previously, the fishing pole was lost in the move, and a large crack was put in the bed frame, and one other item was damaged. Even though we were told we had full replacement cost for damaged goods, we came to find out we had waived the full replacement cost based on where we were told to sign the numerous documents we signed that day. As a result, any claim for damages was based on the weight of the goods times $0.60. This amount came out to some nominal dollar value. They were so nice that my wife felt compelled to make them lunch which we all ate together. Robert and the crew were quick, courteous, and professional. I didn't realize how much went into wrapping a piece of furniture properly until I watched these guys do it. When it came time to deliver my furniture they were on the ball again. They arrived when I expected them to. They were really nice despite the fact that we were actually holding them up. We had to clean out one of the rooms and they insisted on waiting rather than putting our belongings into a different part of the house. Ruined a king size Tempurpedic and a queen Posturpedic mattress. We had old (75 years +) family pictures. One was found in a trash box broken and torn to pieces. Antique furniture was severely damaged. I would not hire this company to move a dog house.”

Denver Moving Services did a very poor job moving us from Denver to Michigan. First, these guys showed up an entire day late to pick up our stuff. They called a couple days before to confirm the pickup date, and did not show up. This was especially frustrating given we have two small children and made arrangements for them to be somewhere else so that the movers could be there unimpeded. Once they arrived, they had us sign something that nullified the original estimate and the sign a new estimate on the spot. This ended up doubling the moving price. I suspect these guys business model is to underestimate the quote in order to get their foot in the door, and then overcharge you the day of your move. They also charge per cubic foot instead of per lb, so this is a huge red flag. The movers also broke the doorstop off our door, and rather than tell us about it, they propped it up like it was not broken. We met the movers ~5 days later in Michigan in a house that we are renting. We arrived the night before, and met them the next day. The guys that were delivering our belongings called ahead and asked us to scoop the driveway and salt it before they arrived and they refused delivery when they arrived until we salted the sidewalk. At that point, we were hostile customers. We literally just arrived; we do not have anything. How could we scoop or salt? If you are professional movers, do not you have shovels and salt? If I work on a construction site, I bring my own safety equipment; I do not refuse to do my job until someone else gives me a hard hat. I urge people to avoid this company. Their business model is bait and switch, which shows from their lack of customer service. They acted like they were doing us a huge favor the entire time we interacted with them.”

Bait and switch. It is a shame that I cannot talk directly to anyone considering making the mistake of hiring Denver Moving Services. All I can say to convince you not to hire these people please, recognize that the number of positive to negative reviews is far too close on the different customer review platforms for you to trust them. I went with them because I needed to go with my cheapest option just out of necessity. They gave me a cheap estimate, but the final cost increase by over 50% of the original estimate. This was because they did not honestly account for the items I expressed that I needed moving, despite my insistence. Other companies did give me more accurate estimates, and unfortunately, I did not go with them because of the cost. That was a mistake I regret. If I have to pay a lot of money, I would rather pay honest people. Denver Moving services not only charged me more but left behind a large number of the items I needed moving. I have tried to resolve this problem with them over email, and they have not responded. They do not deserve your money and they do not respect you, however, they may (very obviously) friendliness. They earn a living off lying others. Give your money to the good guys and clean the market of the cheaters.”
