We were given a verbal green light for all of our needs (Including moving an $18,000 pool table; moving and storing large, petrified rocks), and asked to sign a contract before it was completed. In good faith, we signed. The final contract however did not include many of our mutually agreed upon requests. When these broken promises were brought to the attention of an owner, the response from her was that she did not recall our initial conversation, or all of her promises and assurances; and we should never have signed before reading the contract. Remember that she required our signatures BEFORE she wrote up the contract. When moving from our previous residence however, an owner of COPPERSTATE, without introducing himself or his position in his company, reprimanded my husband, in front of his employees and our family members. He was verbally abusive, disrespectful; apparently angry with my husband for requesting the move of the petrified rocks, among other items, because it was against company policy. How were we to know this, especially when the co-owner guaranteed this? After his verbal outburst, the owner left, promising to get back in contact with my husband. This never took place. Nor did he apologize to my husband for his behavior. The employees who were to move the pool table were heard by my husband saying that they were not sure of HOW to do it: "I guess we'll figure it out." This conflicted with both the company's website's claim that they had experience moving pool tables, as well as the co-owner's verbal statement of said experience. The pool table and the heavier petrified rocks were the biggest reason for hiring COPPERSTATE in the first place. Movers dumped out our carefully packed and labeled boxes, and repacked our items in a haphazard manner, in unlabeled boxes. Movers did not communicate with one another regarding which items stayed with us- which we purposefully stored in a separate area of our house - and which items they were to move. Consequently, many items-including appliance dollys- were taken from us. There were also communication issues with some employees not understanding English. When we called a co-owner about the dollys, we were told we could not get them back until the company moved us into our new residence, two months later. The dollys were crucial at that point, because we now had to move the petrified rocks ourselves. When we called a co-owner to inform her about these negative experiences, we were told that the initial contract fee would be renegotiated. Also, during the move from our previous residence, movers gouged a hole in a newly painted wall, and broke glass panels on our exterior coach lights. When some items were unloaded from COPPERSTATE to our new residence, they were broken. Since many of our belongings were unnecessarily repacked in unlabeled boxes, we cannot find several tools and items needed to live comfortably ( For examples, our drill, to install blinds, etc., and our coffeemaker). COPPERSTATE owners were anything but professional, unfortunately. Finally, the promise to renegotiate the original contract was broken, and when we explained this, they threatened to take us to small claims court if we did not pay the original fee. We even had to put together our own bed, because the movers had to leave us early, in order to help another client. After painstaking conversation, an owner acquiesced to a SLIGHTLY smaller final fee. It was all a very frustrating, sad, and unfortunate experience.”

Team showed up a few minutes early, did a great job, very happy with the 3 employees that moved us, Mike, Marcus, and Leah. However, Crystal came out and estimated the move and gave us a price of approximately $1200-$1300 dollars. Final bill was $1925. I received a call the next day from Copperstate asking me if I was happy with the service. I explained that we had the crew do the exact work that was quoted, yet the bill was more than $600 over the estimate. The response was, okay I will let them know. Can I send you a survey??? Lol.
