Not a good experience. Ended up have to pay quite a bit more than was estimated because we "added items" which is not true. We actually had to leave a handful of items because they wouldn't fit on the truck. The estimate was just apparently way off. There were only 2 packers (one of whom frankly was super nice but nearly not fit enough to be moving large items) for a 2600 sq ft home with 2 floors and took 9 hours. One of them was reasonably complaining about how long it was taking and both were complaining about how wrong the estimate was. We felt so bad for them we gave them a bigger tip than we would normally. Our family with 2 young children had to drive 4 hours that night so didn't arrive at our destination until 1:30am because they didn't leave the house until after 8:30pm and we had to do other things once they left finally. They were nice and tried their hardest but the estimator Brian put that it was a one story and apparently didn't accurately estimate even though he physically came to our home and I took him room to room. I asked to have him call me twice to discuss this and he never did. The arrival and unload went way better--they were on time, had 2 guys plus contracted another one and unloaded in about 3 hours rather than the 9 it took to load. The driver seemed very knowledgable and shook his head when he heard how long the load had taken and when I commented on the fact that our mattresses weren't bagged when they should have been. He said, "I don't know what these guys were doing" Very disappointed and frustrating experience.”

I called this company and Orlando was so pleasant and polite, and really wanted to help me with my move. They are a broker and really do not honor the agreement. They schedule the movers to pick up my furniture and they were on time and that is where my nightmare started with this company. I was told by Victoria to have a certified check for $1421.00 for the driver and I did have a check for that amount, I had already paid $2089.86 before my household goods were transported to Arizona. The driver told me he needed more money.....I called Connected Van Lines and the nightmare continued with Victoria and Adam. I had previously put a review up regarding the unprofessional customer service and how they continued to increase the cost of their services. Victoria told me if I took down the review they would honor the original contract of $4931.58, so at the time of delivery I would only owe $1421.00. The driver did not even take all my household goods that were on my inventory list and I have the inventory and pictures of belongings he didn't transport to Arizona. I should have known when he came in a Enterprise rented truck I was in trouble, I had a job waiting for me in Arizona, needed to get out of my house I sold and had not given $2089.86 already would have cancelled CONNECTED VAN LINES. I had to rent a U haul 6x12 at an additional cost to me. Victoria is a gem...she was going to get additional monies taken off because I had to rent a U haul. IT NEVER HAPPENED.....I PAID more MONEY when my furniture was delivered or they were going to hold it hostage. NEA VANLINES LLC picked up my household goods however SOUTHERN VAN LINES delivered my household goods. I had to even purchase a special box for a stand up large mirror....IT WAS IN PIECES WHEN DELIVERED. My furniture left wrapped and came to be unwrapped, including my mattresses which were in cases. Boxes were torn and broken down. My wine glasses that were given to me by my husband as a gift from Italy for being gone a year during Desert Storm, broken....I can't replace the glasses and I'm almost sure I won't get much for there breakage of my wine glasses and other items, too long to list. I had my belongings delivered to storage until I get my house and the driver of SOUTHERN VAN LINES could not even drive the semi, I was told to get a different storage unit so he could deliver my furniture, he didn't know how to drive a semi...The storage managers had to come down to my unit because he was being irrational to me. I have been threatened by Connected Van Lines, YELLED at by NEA VANLINES LLC and told by the driver of Southern VAN Lines he could sell my housegoods because I had nice stuff...and I have a witness who heard this man say this to me. I have every email with Connected Van Lines, voice mail from Victoria screaming at me and pictures of everything left behind for me to move. My EXPERIENCE WAS MORE THAT A NIGHTMARE!!!! BEWARE”

Long-distance move from Jamesville, VA to Salem, WI I did not have such a great move with Connected Van Lines Although I did not have any issues with price or quality of the move I was told at the time of scheduling that it would take 10 -14 days for completion of my move and it ended up taking almost 20 days...19 days to be exact! this cost me about 1000 dollars in hotel fees that i did not expect to have to pay. I was very happy with the "Quality" of my move and the services i received just having to pay extra money for hotel cost really upset me. I would not recommend this company for long distance moves mabey local or under 1000 miles for sure. I was not expecting to wait so long for a cross country move NV to FL. So overall i gave 2/5 stars for this company.”

This company is a total scam. They lure you in with false promises, get you to sign a contract then proceed to charge you extra money EVEN if you give them exact dimensions for ALL of your stuff. My husband and I learned this the hard way and now they won’t even cancel our contract. They will totally screw you. We went over every item, talked through every article of the contract with the GM and they still changed things after the fact. Customer service is terrible and rude (but only after they get you to sign). Believe the reviews. They are 100% accurate and I can’t believe they are still in business. If I could give zero stars, I would.”

I am visually impaired and therefore have no choice but to use a moving company. At every point of the transaction was lied to. First estimate was $1900.00 given the date I needed my possessions they gave me a pick up date. Took 3 weeks before they arrived and would have been longer if I had not mentioned the state closing soon for the CORVID outbreak. TV was scratched all up. Desk broken and unfixable (welding is not my thing). Several other items damaged and a missing bag of clothing. During the process i contacted them and their contracted moving company. No one told me they did not do the moving themselves they hired other moving companies a brokerage of sorts. On each contact they raised the price even when I removed several large items to reduce the price they increased it. When all was said and done what was loaded was half of the size and more than double the price 4,700.00 for a single bedroom apartment move. Once they have your stuff you are screwed and they will increase the cost even though they aren't really allowed but if you want your stuff what other option do you have especially with a nationwide lockdown. Spoke to several managers and supervisors which most cases were different. Sent many emails and saved them. Recommended for anyone that likes being screwed over or scammed heavily.”

At every point of my move, I felt put on the spot and unprepared for the pressure and lies that would happen along the way. This was my first time coordinating a cross country move, so many of you may find different experiences than I did. Connected Van Lines is not a mover, but simply a contractor for movers in our case. They gave us what we thought was a great deal, and the price kept going up and up until we were left with an annoying amount of stuff left in between states and a bill that we probably would have chosen otherwise for. Let's walk through the issues 1) I wasn't given any time to think about the decision. I wanted a night to think on who to go with, but the guy wouldn't let me off the line. This should have been the first and only red flag. 2) The dates were nicely flexible. They kept us updated on when they would expect to arrive, then showed up a day earlier than expected. This put us in a frenzy trying to be ready within 8 hours of the call. 3) Movers did a great job helping to load everything onto the truck, but then ran out of space. While they were loading we kept asking about specifics and they kept putting us off. "We'll let you know. I'm sure it's going to work out. We're experts". Then, once it was packed up "Oops, doesn't all fit. I guess we'll have to schedule another truck. That's going to cost you and you don't get to decide what goes and what stays for the next week". They can't take anything off the truck once loaded, and they didn't keep track of anything when they did load it. 4) When delivering, the guys were great. Put everything where it was supposed to go, and had me sign off on the delivery... Only I was signing off on the "Whole" delivery including the second shipment. That means I'm paying full price for half my stuff. I don't have any leverage for damages or forgotten items from the second shipment. I can't make a claim against any of that because I signed off on the "whole" shipment. Of course, the driver tells me "this is just what I do. I don't know what to tell you" and won't unload my stuff. 5) I should have thought of 4, right? Well I had already called the company ahead of the move to withhold payment until the second shipment, but they say "oh no, we'll take care of it and you don't need to worry" I should have worried 6) Then comes the claims and insurance part to request reimbursement. Well, it turns out that initial shipment (which was great) means I don't have any say in claims against my second shipment. They could have left the whole thing and gotten off scott free. "Claim denied due to signature" is now my expectation instead of "yes, we realize we missed a package". I guess you're supposed to mark off every box in and out and the movers have no motivation to do that for you. 7) All I'm saying is avoid this process as your life depends on it. This may be great if you're a professional mover but for a normal human this is has been one disaster after another.”

AWESOME service!!!!! We used Connect Van Lines to service my move. They were reliable, professional, and efficient. The Rep David L was very professional and had GREAT communication. They let us know with plenty of time ahead of the pick up day and were even almost an hour early. They driver was very straight forward and did everything he said he was going to (even went over the top for us and picked up some other stuff we had in a storage unit down the road free of charge!). The Moving Company wrapped all our fragile items (glass tabletop, etc), they disassembled and reassembled ALL of our furniture, and did an OUTSTANDING job staging the home, and most importantly moving it with minimum damage, when I say that I mean they did dent a metal table I had but popped right back out. They even had masks on, gloves, and booties for their shoes to not ruin the new carpet we had put into our just finished home. I would HIGHLY recommend them to any of our friends or relatives, even someone I didn't know looking for a mover. If I was someone looking to get taken care of the right way in this industry then you I should ask to speak to David as well.”
