They took great care to disassemble, wrap, unwrap and reassemble several pieces of heavy and/or fragile furniture. They moved items to the exact spots we wanted them placed and also loaded a pod we had outside with the overflow since we were still undergoing renovation at the new house. They had no issue leaving us with the wardrobe boxes full of our clothing and the moving blankets still protecting our items in the pod. They told us to take as long as we needed and they would come and retrieve these items when we are ready. The 4 man crew from Carmel Movers was perfect in every way. They were super careful not to damage any items or the house as they moved furniture in and out. We recently had our hardwood floors redone and they did not mark them at all. Everything was carefully wrapped and padded. The supervisor first toured the house and noted what was moving and what was staying. We had some very heavy items and they handled them with ease. When moving the furniture into our new home they were careful to ask where everything went and placed some furniture in a loft storage that had a heavy duty pull down ladder. On Moving Day, Hector and his team arrived on time (actually a few minutes early) and got right to work. They did a complete walk through with me and inventoried everything. We hired Carmel for our move from Framingham to Webster recently. From the 1st phone call to the last box everyone was phenomenal! Ivan was hugely helpful and knowledgeable providing me with tips and tricks to make my packing easier and he was the only one (I called 3 other companies for quotes) who gave thorough explanations about what to expect, breaking down the quote and their responsibilities vs. mine for the move. We received a call the day before the move confirming the arrival time of 8am. On the day of the move, Juan (crew lead) and his team showed up 15 minutes early and got right to work. They moved our whole house (1800 sq. ft.) by 11.15 and we were on the road. After a 50 minute ride they had us unloaded by 2:30. AMAZING!! These guys didn't stop moving (except when we fed them lunch and even then it was only for 15 minutes to eat a quick burger). I have moved multiple times and have NEVER seen such efficiency and hustle! From the moment we first met Vivo of Carmel Movers, he instilled a sense of calm and professionalism that put us at ease in a very stressful situation---we had signed an agreement for the sale of our house and had less than a month to move out all of the items accumulated in 43 years of life, from a large house and separate guest house that had been enjoyed by 5 children and 8 grandchildren! To make it even more challenging we were moving things to 3 different locations on two different moving days! Also a challenge was deciding at the last moment to offer our 1928 Steinway grand piano to my nephew rather than leave it for the buyers. He arrived on Monday and fell in love with the piano, so I texted Vivo at 7 that night to see if his team could possibly crate it up for us and load it onto a u-haul truck when they came to do our first move out on Wed---he texted back immediately that they could do it for us! Two days later my nephew was happily playing the piano in its new home in PA – safe and sound! The four men who arrived to move us (move #1) to our 2 bedroom apartment were extraordinary people---they were not only strong but they were all so professional, careful and fast as well as extremely courteous! Those four men made our move a happy experience, and we felt safe throughout the process – in spite of the COVID pandemic! We have no anxiety about our final move out on Saturday, when our remaining things will be put in storage with Caramel until our Townhouse in CO is ready to receive them. Carmel is helping to coordinate with the cross-country transport company they have successfully used before. I was 27 when I moved into our home and will be turning 70 this December—a move of this magnitude for my husband and me was extremely daunting until we met with Carmel movers.
