Callahan Brothers Reviews

★★★★★
I just recently moved across the country and was very happy to use Callahan Brothers. They were very quick! I was expecting the job to take up a large part of my day but it was done in just under 5 hours with 3 men. All of my belongings were well taken care of with no issues or damages when received on the other end. The whole process was organized and efficient.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR CROSS COUNTRY MOVES - MAYBE NEXT DOOR BUT I WOULD NOT! DEPARTURE: moving crew damaged the sofa and wall. We repaired the wall as closing was next day and noted the damage on the papers signed before departure. EN-ROUTE: scheduled delivery was delayed because the driver was hospitalized - it was several days before notified. Our shipment was re-loaded on another truck with another shipment. ARRIVAL: 1) Motorcycle is missing and it took several days before located and over a month before delivered; 2) Several items for the other shipment were unloaded and carried into our destination. Most were identified and returned before leaving our premise. We notified the mover we had items that were not ours but there was never a pick-up; 3) Boxes were badly damaged along with approximately $2,500 of belongings; 4) damage to furniture were noted on papers we had to sign at end of delivery. CLAIM: I was mistaken about the claim deadline so the claim was denied. I appealed the initial decision as we acted on good faith given all of the mishaps throughout the move. The final decision was from the owner, Mr. Joyce, himself and there was no consideration even for damages that were noted at time of occurrence.

The men that came to our house on moving day were amazing. They were upbeat and positive and great to chat with. They took great care of all of our things and easily accomodated any requests we had. It made the stress and sadness of moving day so much easier. If you're looking to move, they're fantastic.
