I hired two guys from Burnetts to unload my two storage cubes into my split level house. I had to work from my laptop while they were unloading, so I quickly showed them around and gave some directions of what I was expecting. They were respectful of my working space, and followed my requests really well of where I wanted everything (and even made some really good decisions for things I had forgot to give directions on). The good: Ryan was very professional and available when we scheduled our move about 6 weeks ahead. All communication was done over email. We got the quote, sent a rough list of what types of items we had, and picked the specific date and time. So I appreciated his prompt and clear communication through this process. The bad: About a week before it I started reaching out via email just to confirm, and didn't hear anything back. So then I started calling. Finally got through to them a couple days before the move, and they had written down the wrong move date (by 10 days), the wrong crew size (2 instead of 4), and were no longer available when we needed them. They ended up scrambling and pulling together a crew but by the time we spoke again, I had already hired another company because I was worried we'd get stuck with 2 full trucks and no movers. I had to negotiate all these changes while driving 2 moving trucks and 3 cars across country with my family, in and out of cell service, so as you can imagine it was stressful. The good: I would have rated 1 star, but am giving 2 stars because Ryan did call back and after I told him we had moved on and hired another company, he sincerely apologized and expressed his understanding. I could tell he genuinely felt bad and this episode did not reflect his normal standard operation. I appreciated that he took full responsibility for the issue. So, in summary, we did not actually end up using Burnett Moving Services for our move, so I can't speak to their level of quality etc. in the actual moving process.”

We hired them to help unload a moving truck into our home and a storage unit on the property. Despite the heat and the smokey air, they were friendly and helpful. These guys did a great job and at a fair price! I had called to schedule the movers on or around New Years Eve or day, so I understood I wouldn't hear back until at least the 2nd of Jan. Ryan (I believe he's the owner) called back and apologized for not calling me back on a holiday! Wow. We scheduled the unloading of our PODS for 5 days from then. The only snafu was that the paperwork he emailed me went to junk mail (not his fault) but it certainly stressed me out for a few days when I couldn't get ahold of him to check on status since winter is understandably not a busy time for a moving service! I guess my only suggestion here would be to ask for a cell # if you want to schedule during the slow months. Again, just a small suggestion - very very happy with Burnett! I was incredibly pleased with the two men who unloaded our PODS - professional and courteous. I will update their names when I find the scrap of paper I wrote their names on! I never want to move again. But if I have to, I will absolutely use Burnett's!!!”

Booked Burnett's for moving, since they had such great reviews, but my experience wasn't as great... two guys showed up almost 2 hours late (I was on the phone frantically looking for new movers when they finally arrived). I had been unable to get a hold of anyone at Burnetts while I was waiting - and panicking... One of them had a hurt wrist, and the other guy seemed new (the hurt guy was sort of teaching him the ropes). They complained my boxes were heavy (but I'd originally moved them all to this storage area in my basement myself with no issue). They dropped a number of my boxes (and who knows what else, when I wasn't looking)! I had 90% of my stuff stored in a 9x9 room but they barely fit it into a 26' truck ... ??? Took far longer than I expected - so I believe I paid a little extra for the inefficient time they took... later in the day finally got a call back from Ryan the owner, from my earlier messages about his guys being late, but thought my messages were about booking a job even after I told him my name, still seemed confused that I was a customer. ugh... Ultimately, they got my stuff from Point A to Point B, and they were courteous, but overall I wasn't impressed enough to try using this company again.”
