Overall a pretty good moving experi nice but with a major caveat. Although they knew they were moving an upright piano and agreed to do it w two guys, when they got it into the truck they said they needed three to move it at the other end, our house in Cape Cod that has one step to the level where the piano was going.so they stored it I their warehouse for theeee weeks and eventually said they would move it w two guys. It ended up costing us more money for the two moves than would have been the case. I didn’t like the fact that they contracted to do something with two movers and then reneged. But they are overall courteous and careful movers”

I've used Big Foot for 2 moves now, the most recent being between 2 east coast cities. The pre-move arrangements for the latter move were not ideal. I would have appreciated more proactive interaction in the few days prior to the move. I reached out to ask when I should expect the truck and was told one thing; later that day, the timing of the pick up changed to the day PRIOR to the day of the move. So. Scramble to finish packing in time to accommodate that schedule. At my request, they did push the timing of the pick up as late in the day as possible, but it would have helped to know more than 2 days prior to the move that I had one less packing day than expected. The workers were organized and swift, but not particularly pleasant. One was downright rude to me and to the staff at the condominium. However, our belongings arrived in good condition and on time. UPDATE: Bob and Mike at BF Moving reached out to me immediately to respond to my concerns listed above. I was very pleased with the timing of the response, their commitment to improvement and continued excellent customer service:”

I called Big Foot for a move at the end of August. I spoke with Jim who came out to my house to do an estimate. I was going to book on the spot but he told me to get three other estimates before I did. I thought that was odd, but ok, I did - and they were all more expensive! Jim knows what he's doing! Pete in the office is very helpful and has a great sense of humor which is important since moving is stressful. The buyer of my house kept switching the closing date so I had to call Big Foot over and over again to try and change dates and times - they were accommodating, understanding and helpful. The move was in town - Winchester to Winchester. The move was awesome - they showed up early by 15 min. Had my entire house packed up and moved within 4.5 hours. They asked me questions along the way - never guessing where something should go or if it should be packed. The unloading was just as smooth and the team never complained (lots of stairs) and nothing was broken. I am happy to recommend them and can serve as a reference. Jim the sales guy even stopped by the move to ensure everything was going well. Class acts - great service and they even took the time to reassure my dog who was completely freaked out by all the activity. Well Done!”

I stored my belongs at Big Foot for 2+ years. I paid extra for climate control. When I got my stuff back. There was more than $4000 of water damage. Big Foot did not contact me about this when they realized the issue, but waited for me to contact them when it was delivered to me--2 months later!!! At that time, they sent me through the motions of filing a claim only to tell me that they would only cover a minimum claim of the insurance I had purchased for my contents inside the unit. However, the leak came from outside of the building, but they are not willing to take responsibility for that. They also told me that they were unable to contact their landlord to ask them for additional insurance. Irresponsible coverage and very negligible in informing me of the damage and monitoring the contents in storage in a building that claims to be climate controlled.”
