This has probably been the worst experience I have had dealing with a company I specifically asked the salesperson "when do I need to give you my stuff in order to ensure an on time delivery?" and I agreed to sending my things earlier than I had planned They picked my stuff up on 6/21, three weeks ago Delivery date was 7/6 I didn ‘t hear anything from them and called on 7/7 They had no idea where my stuff was and were not giving me any additional information I was told I would get a call within 1-3 days I waited I called again on 7/9, was told they were going to reach out to the dispatch and give me a call back in 1 hour False, never received a call Called again on today (7/10), was told they would reach back out to the dispatch Was also told they tried to call me the day before (but the person on the phone was unable to tell me what they were calling me about ) All false, I have had my phone on me at all times and no voicemails were left They said they would call me back later in the day I told them I would call back in 2 hours, since they tend to not keep their word Called, same story I said I would give them 2 more hours to let me know where my stuff is, which honestly shouldn’t be that difficult Called, same story I was told they were going to make a call and I was then left on hold for 20-30 minutes while they waited for the clock to run At 5pm, which is when they close, I was transferred to the dispatch voicemail At this point, after multiple calls, I still have absolutely no idea where my things are located I am furious and I will not be doing business with this company ever again

Warning to my fellow humans The process of moving is stressful And Big Ben ‘s Moving and Storage will make it even more so You literally pay a company to drive you nuts Here ‘s my story Big Ben ‘s has great sales people who respond quickly to your inquiry, are very informative, and provide competitive quotes for your move In my case, the quote was about 20% cheaper than competitors ($2900) But once the move is scheduled -- and this is important to know -- Big Ben ‘s Moving and Storage passes you over to different company for the actual move In my case this was a company called Western Moving or Swift Van Lines This means that the company that sold you the move is now different from the company who is actually doing the moving The two do not communicate well You can see where this is going On moving day, my original quote of $2900 ballooned to over $7000 More than 2x the storage space quoted by sales agent plus a $1600 shuttle fee to hire an additional Uhaul truck (city residents be aware) I paid 1/2 begrudgingly, hoping it could be resolved with customer service But here is ONE BIG THING I beg you to understand: when things go wrong, Big Ben ‘s customer service will not “do the right thing ” There is another reviewer who described their customer service "Like children playing on the phone" and that is so comically accurate! My calls were never returned, plenty of lies, all the stuff you see in other reviews In transit, they broke about $800 in tables, furniture, and vases And regarding the second 1/2 of the payment, I was told unless I paid, my stuff would be held in a facility somewhere (hostage style) All the actual moving guys were really nice hard-working folks from Eastern Europe I felt bad for them because they say this is a normal nightmare If you are like me and on a limited budget, please just be aware that a greater resource is your sanity Big Ben’s pricing is not worth the anxiety I hope to one day laugh about this experience but right now it ‘s just pure pain

DON ‘T USE THIS COMPANY!! BEYOND HORRIBLE!! Don ‘t be fooled, like I was, by the appearance of their marketing ("the veteran owner," etc ), the appearance of their website, and the sales guy, named, Joe Campbell Big Bens actually runs more like a scam, if not they actually are At this point, I am not even sure whether my stuff will be delivered to my new address from their East Coast Warehouse Here ‘s an account of my experience, which I hope would be helpful to people:A Pick-up1) Joe will all surgar-coat and lie about everything, but when the driver actually comes to your door for a pick up, all will change-- especially the estimated price will sore Note that Joe signs his emails as Consultant of Logistics, but once you signed the contract, he will disappear and tell you later he is just in the "sales" department-- one of many lies this company tell 2) Joe said that their movers are their own employees, whose backgrounds have been checked, but they were sub-contractors from the local area 3) The driver was supposed to call me at least 24 hours prior to the day of the pick-up, I was told upon signing the contract But he called me in the morning and said he is on the way 4) The driver actually arrived around 9 pm, and the loading was not finished until mid-night 5)The movers ‘ wrapping job of furniture didn ‘t seem good They were exhausted by then after having done 2 moves prior to me on the same day B After Pick-Up1) The day after the pick-up, the customer service called me to pay the most of the remaining balance, which was a lot of money and forced me to use Zelle I said I preferred to use my credit card, but they forced me to use Zelle Basically they want cash--you know the shady aspectS of the business with trying to avoid fees, taxes, etc When I insisted that I had the right to use the credit card, they THREATENED ME, SAYING "IF YOU DON ‘T MAKE THE PAYMENT TODAY, WE WILL PUT YOUR THINGS ON AUCTION RIGHT AWAY " C Customer Service1) Most idiot customer service people to whom I have ever spoken Most of them were women, who "didn ‘t speak English," not because they had an (Asian) accent --I am Asian BTW--but because they absolutely have no intelligence to understand the conversations and address the issues 2) Totally dysfunctional; seems like no communication is happening between the office people You speak to one person and next day you speak to another, and they would have no info you provided the day before (one of many such simple examples: I sent the delivery update to the email they provided, which was successfully sent on my end, and they never found it) D Waiting for Delivery In about a Month1) I have been now speaking to the customer service for 3 days in a row both by phone and email, just to give them the update of delivery date and address--not a complicated task They are totally incompetent Still no confirmation VERY CONCERNED WHETHER I WILL EVEN HAVE MY STUFF DELIVERED AT THIS POINT Final remarks: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Your life would be MISERABLE I previously used one of the most nationally well-known moving companies It was too experience so I decided to use BigBens this time that initially seemed more affordable But no, they will rip you off and have horrible a service and management Now I understand why well-established moving companies are worthwhile using despite their prices--they have excellent service and punctuation, and most importantly ethics Huge regret to use BigBens No ethics with this company Thinking of what appropriate actions I might be able to take if that ever happens Advice are welcome

WARNING: Please do not use this business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. I WANT TO SAVE OTHER PEOPLE IN SIMILAR SITUATIONS FROM HAVING TO EXPERIENCE SUCH BAD SERVICE. It is not worth your time or money. I and a friend, were planning a cross country move. I paid my downpayment in April 2020, in preparation for a move to occur at the end of June --in order to start a job at the beginning of July. The weeks leading up to the move, the company was unresponsive to repeated attempts at communication to solidify a date, and 24 HOURS prior to my move-out day from my city, they notified me that they had a ‘delay’ and could no longer come on my initial moving date. This is one of the worst experiences I have had with a company. I understand that this is a difficult time, but the lack of professional, complete disregard for people’s time and money really makes this business low –quality. I want to prevent others from having such a terrible experience, and I suggest you look into a more credible business and not this one.

I did my research and picked Big Ben’s for a move from Georgia to Maryland, based on other reviews, an A+ rating from the BBB. This was the worst experience of my life. The moving supervisor for the Georgia load tried to add another $1,200 to the move cost for extra packing material, etc., OR I could write him a personal check for $300 and be done with it. He wouldn’t continue to load everything until I made a decision. I was already spending over $12,000, so I wrote him the check. This was late on a Saturday so there was no one for me to call at the headquarters. Also the contract clearly stated that I would pay 70% at the load in Georgia and I could write a check. I was prepared to do that, but he wouldn’t accept my check saying it wouldn’t clear before they had to unload in Maryland. So I had to pay $12,000 CASH in Maryland - which the supervisor there wasn’t thrilled about. I dept trying to call my customer service/sales person on the day of the unload in Maryland (a Monday) and she refused to come to the phone or return my call. WORT MOVING COMPANY EVER!! TOTAL RIP OFF!!!

Bait and Switch and lies about service, delivery eta and customer service is horrible. Worst experience of my life. Lie #1 : Called to get a quote, their sales person Chris’s first word out of his mouth was, "have you heard of all the horror stories with moving". I told him yes I am familiar and I do not want my furniture and boxes shipped in a 18 wheeler and brokers using freight companies to ship. He assured me that the people that pick up the furniture will be the ones that deliver it in a 26 feet box truck. Lie #2: Chris told me that the delivery ETA would be about 4-5 days and that is the average. It has been 1.5 weeks so far and still no furniture. Lie #3: Movers came and informed me that I have 350 additional sq ft of items. I live in a 1100 sq ft apartment, how can I have 1000 sq ft of furniture and boxes? The probably meant cubed ft but considering that they quoted me for 648 and I provided measurements for each item and I sold some furniture, this made no sense. But I had no time to look for another mover so I ended up paying the addition $2500. Lie#4: Movers told me that it is going into a warehouse where my items will be packed into an 18 wheeler. Informed them that this was not what sale told me and it is also not what is stated on your website. They said that is how they do the move. Lie#5: Movers assured me that the I had SO much stuff that the 18 wheeler is able to fit only 2 households and that is why the additional cost is high. I found out that the 18 wheeler made at least 3 additional stops when talking to the driver. Lie#6: Movers assured me that my items will not sit in a warehouse, that it will get on the 18 wheeler that same night and be transported the next morning. My area would be the first stop on the route so I should get my items in 3-4 days. After speaking to the driver of the semi, they didn’t leave until 3 days later and my items were sitting in a warehouse. Lie#7 Movers told me that they will make sure my items get packed into the semi that night and promise that I will get my stuff in 4-5 days so to make sure to tip them well. Hey demanded 15% of the total move stating that this is standard. Obviously, they took the tip and didn’t deliver on any of their promises. Lie#8: movers said I was quoted for 65 items (boxes and furniture) and that I was at 100+ items. First of all it is because they kept adding boxes for random items like a curtain rod. They would very loosely add items to boxes increasing the count even when I had packed everything. When looking inside the truck we were NO WHERE near 1000 cubed ft. Lie#9 Semi driver said he has 1 stop and he we will be next. I called 3 days later and he said he had 2 additional stops he needs to make. Not Professional - 2 movers showed up to move my furniture to their truck. One of them was on the phone from the time they arrived to the time they left. It took them 5.5 hours to load their truck. Which impacted my move greatly. Customer service constantly puts you on hold and hangs up on you. Or they say they will follow up and call me but never do. When speaking to customer service about all the lies I've been told their attitude was, you signed the contract so why are you complaining. Pay the remaining balance or you we don’t unload. I have recorded conversations and all email communications for all my interactions and will be reporting them to the BBB. I paid about 40% more with these guys because I read the prior reviews and it was positive. Now I understand that those reviews are probably fake. Stay away from these guys, if you want this type of treatment, save yourself 40-50% in the cost of moving and just contact a broker. I saw zero benefits from using these guys

Worst moving experience. I normally don’t leave bad, let alone long reviews but I think people need to know what they are signing up for. I moved from San Francisco to Ohio. I spoke to John Willow on the phone (sales team) and he said I could get a great deal because I would be doing a piggy back move with someone else moving on the same route. So I decided to book it because they quoted me way less than other companies. Pickup: My pickup was delayed by 2 days! I booked the movers to come on Thursday 5/21/20. I kept calling to get an update of when to expect the movers to come. Customer Service said dispatch would call me on Monday to confirm pickup on Thursday. I didn’t hear from them Monday so I called Tuesday. They said dispatch will call me Wednesday between 5-8pm to give me my pickup time for Thursday AM. I did not receive a call from them. On Thursday I called customer service at 8am when they opened to see when movers would come. They spent all day scrambling around searching for movers, then told me the truck was delayed and would not get to me until Friday between 5-9pm (guaranteed). On Friday I did not hear from them at all and called customer service again. They said the truck was delayed and would not get to me until Saturday between 12-2pm (guaranteed). They did not come until 3:30pm on Saturday. They took over 4 hours to move my 1 bedroom apartment things into the truck. Everything was packed in boxes and I just needed them to disassemble my bed but it took a very long time. They spent over an hour trying to organize their paperwork and have me sign things before even starting. Movers also did not wear masks and I was told they would. I wanted my things to be delivered by June 3rd. John put that as my "preferred date." I kept calling customer service to see when my things would get delivered, but my things sat in their warehouse for 4 weeks without me getting an update. I called them every 2-3 days to try to get an update. I spoke to Ann Johnson (sometimes she was nice, sometimes she seemed very frustrated) and Susan (overall she was the nicest person I spoke to, and John had fallen off the face of the earth after he made the sale). Ann would tell me that she "was working on it" and to check in with her in 2 days. I played this phone tag game for about 3 weeks. My things were finally picked up from their warehouse and delivered to Ohio on Thursday June 25th, 22 days after my preferred date. Delivery: The movers (different people than the ones that picked my things up) were very rude, in a rush to deliver my things. My footboard part of my bed is broken, the bed was reassembled incorrectly as well. My table was also reassembled incorrectly and very wobbly. One of my boxes was opened and rummaged through - and my Apple TV is missing. I am also missing my shoe rack, a bag of mounting tools, AA batteries, my essential oil diffuser, first class postage and envelopes - all from that box. In another box I labeled "clothes," I found a box cutter knife inside, meaning they had opened my box and re-taped it back up and forgot the knife in the box. The movers also left my sliding living room door open and all their trash on the floor in my kitchen. I am very disappointed with the service of the company. I filed my moving claim and hope to be compensated for my losses. If you don’t care about your things and want the cheapest option, and have no timeline on when you want to receive your things, sure you can use them. But I hope you decide to go with another company for your move. Their prices are attractive, but not worth the inconveniences/headache/theft.

I did so much research to choose a moving company by making sure they had good reviews and running background checks. I ended up choosing big bens because of the "good" reviews and I even compromised paying more than other companies we were quoted. I would give 0 stars if possible. I had a horrible experience with Big Ben’s. I booked my move a few months earlier and we gave the dimensions to all of the furniture to the sales representative over the phone. He told us most likely we would get our stuff in 5 days. On the day they were coming to pick up my items, I was told that the movers would come between a 4-hour window. They were four hours late AFTER the suggested window of time. I also had added a stop prior to this and when I called they were confused and said that they didn’t have another stop even though I was sent the new contract with the stop in it. After they packed all our stuff they said the amount of space we had compared to how much we were quoted was $700 extra!!!!!!!!!!!!! $700! We had to pay way more than what we were quoted because the sales rep miscalculated my move so much... I just took the hit from that figuring it would be okay because I would get my items on time. I was so wrong. After a week, I still had not heard from them. I would call, "customer service" they just tell me the same thing about how they do not have any updates because dispatch had not said anything. I had already passed the "estimated delivery time of 4-21 days" and I still did not receive any updates except that my stuff was sitting in a storage unit in a different state. My move was 1600 miles which is on the lower end of the range they gave me (1501-3300 miles) so it was ridiculous that it took so long. After three weeks I finally got my stuff. Other than taking such a long time to get my items, they completely damaged one of my filing cabinets and I ended up having to fix it with tape. Big Ben’s is a horrible moving company. Do not use!!!

Happy Customer all the way around. This was my final move and I wanted it to go as smoothly as possible. Customer Service was incredible! Someone was always available to answer my calls and answer my questions. The movers were on time and ready to work. This was a 2500sq ft house which they packed in less than 8 hours. Hard workers, polite and professional. I really can’t say enough about the team. Overall amazing job.

Warning to my fellow humans. The process of moving is stressful. And Big Ben’s Moving and Storage will make it even more so. You literally pay a company to make you furious. Here’s my story... Big Ben’s has great sales people who respond quickly to your inquiry, are very informative, and provide competitive quotes for your move. In my case, the quote was about 20% cheaper than competitors ($2900). But once the move is scheduled -- and this is important to know -- Big Ben’s Moving and Storage passes you over to different company for the actual move. In my case this was a company called Western Moving or Swift Van Lines. This means that the company that sold you the move is now different from the company who is actually doing the moving. They do not communicate. You can see where this is going... On moving day, my original quote of $2900 ballooned to over $7000. More than 2x the storage space quoted by sales agent plus a $1600 shuttle fee to hire an additional Uhaul truck (city residents be aware). I paid 1/2 begrudgingly, hoping it could be resolved with customer service. But here is ONE BIG THING I beg you to understand: when things go wrong, Big Ben’s customer service will not exist. There is another reviewer who described it "Like children playing on the phone" and that is so comically accurate! My calls were never returned, plenty of lies, all the stuff you see in other reviews. In transit, they broke about $800 in tables, furniture, and vases. And I was told unless I paid, my stuff would be held in a facility somewhere. All my actual moving guys are really nice hard-working folks from Eastern Europe. I felt bad for them because they say this is par for the course. If you are like me and on a limited budget, please just be aware that a greater resource is your sanity. I hope to one day laugh about this experience but right now it’s just pure pain.

I some how got a quote for their moving company while on another website . It’s like children playing on the phone instead of a professional moving company. Really should get better customer service .

This moving company has been an absolute nightmare to work with. After weeks of trying to get them to provide us with a certificate of insurance, they have consistently lied to us saying that they have been in correspondence with our HOA (totally false), and that they have emailed the forms directly to us (again another lie), and when we have true calling them back to rectify this issue they don’t pick up! We’re supposed to be moving tomorrow, and it’s been two weeks of back and forth trying to solve this issue. So as it stands now, if they fail to get us the forms by tomorrow morning, we will have to bring our boxes and furniture down to the truck as the movers will not be allowed to enter the building! Basically paying them for us to the job for them. Thanks for making my move way more stressful than it needed to be!

Let me start with, don’t hire this company under any circumstances. Literally anyone is better. We’ve done long distance moves before (not this company) and had great success. We used Big Ben’s full service, meaning they came and packed up everything, stored it for a few days, then delivered it. Since COVID-19 is going on we had to do a virtual quote. Guess what, they were way off. We had much more than they quoted us for. We’re good with a little overage but this was 50% more ($4000). The thing about it is that you get the revised quote when all of your stuff is in the truck and their guys have been busting their ass for you all day. Do you make them wait hours while you sit on the phone with customer service? Do you make them unload it? So we paid our original amount with the remainder to be paid upon delivery "don’t worry customer service will handle it" the foreman, Edwin, assured us. So before our stuff got delivered we tried calling them to negotiate a settlement. All we did was get passed around to customer service reps that couldn’t handle that situation. After calling nonstop for days and having our calls ignored we finally got a callback from a supervisor. They recommended we pay the overage charge and then file a claim. So we did, even though they lost parts for my kids bunk bed and couldn’t complete their service by putting it back together. Luckily we bought some extra insurance because we know things can get damaged. However, we didn’t expect to have our tv shattered, entertainment center broken, coffee table cracked, sugar spilled into our coffee maker, lamps broken, pictures damaged, and lets not forget the (valuable and sentimental) box of collectible coins that has gone entirely missing... Their customer service has been terrible and frankly they are just spinning their wheels until we go away. Well, we aren’t going away and will update this post after we’ve found a lawyer. Big Ben’s you are a crooked company, I’m talking to everyone involved that lets this go on, that means the front desk guy that won’t send our calls to management, Ann, Pauline, Edwin, and Mitch. Update, none of the other bad reviews were on yelp prior to our move or we wouldn’t have chosen them. Seems like they are having some serious issues the last few months...

I hired Big Bens for a long distance move because I felt they were best suited to get my personal belongings safely. I was quoted by several companies. My company was fronting the bill but requested I get three vendors quotes. Big Bens was just slight more affordable than the other three. The price was not the sole reason at all why I selected them. They had slot of unique features that stood out to me. On top of everything else they were friendly and respectful. The other two companies were of similar caliber but they were really pressing me every day to make a reservation. I understood the necessity but it didn’t leave a good taste in my mouth. Robin and Chris were very gracious and thoughtful about my families time. Big Bens held a strong reputation so it just felt like they were there to help me not just earn my business. On the date of the move things went by very quick so I can’t exactly pull any specific details except for the following two. The crew lead by David were really professional. They made some cool crate for my wife’s mirror. They also found my old college graduation ring and brought right to me. The guys were wearing masks and we were in the family room the whole day siting in our foldable chairs. I can’t imagine anyone wants to move during this pandemic but Big Bens assured me that their movers will be wearing masks and wiping down every furniture and using new blankets. When they finished loading the truck, David brought over the inventory and I didn’t even realize that they tagged all my items up. The move out took a while even though it felt like a blur. I guess it’s a process no matter what. Delivery took about eight days but that’s ok. We anticipated for 11 days. I’m really appreciative for everything they did for me. Moving is tough and stressful especially during Covid, I can’t imagine how it can even more stressful. They took the pressure off of my family and me. I can not thank them enough. I’m writing them a review for the following reasons: Quality of work: A+, Timely: A+, Price: A, Customer service: A, Overall score is A +. Highly recommend!

Earlier this year, I used Big Ben’s to move into my current apartment. The process to call and set up an appointment to start moving was quick and easy. I first called to get an estimate of the pricing and was content with the cost. I then set up my appointment. I was so happy to hear they were available to come help me move out the following week. The guys that helped me move were friendly and helpful with everything. They showed up right on time and quickly got started packing my room. I was impressed with how fast they were to wrap up and pack all of my furniture. Overall this was a great experience. I highly recommend using Big Ben’s to help you with your move!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVES! They might as well be running a moving scam! Quoted $4600 for an interstate move from Texas to CT on moving day, the price went up to $10000 because if you don’t list out every single item you own no matter how big or small, they get you! Even though I told the sales rep Joe Campbell a million times that my new home will not fit an 18 wheeler they still sent an 18 wheeler to my house! They charged another $1600 for a shuttle service which they rented a UHaul truck for. Why wasn’t this information given by Joe when he was making his sales pitch since we specially mentioned it! The only reasoning they could give is that it’s on the fine print and there’s nothing they can do about it. They tried to pretend to be a family run business but the driver told me he could have charged me lower if we did a private deal for him to rent the uhaul truck without going through Big Ben. It’s appalling! They were late on pickup day and arrived at my house at 6pm. The move went pass midnight and only 2 men showed up cause 1 guy decided not to show up for work. Everything about this experience is very unprofessional and they should have been upfront about the charges. Avoid at all costs!

I have been waiting to leave this review since the day our movers were *supposed to come* (yes, they came on a different day than we had scheduled), however quite frankly I was afraid our stuff would never get here. Now that it has (although not really once you consider how many items were broken...), here goes: Little did we know, our issues with Beg Bens Moving & Storage started before we even signed a contract for our upcoming move from New York to California. When Joe (our sales rep) was providing us a quote, my fiancé and I (as good customers) asked several questions to make sure we understood what we were signing up for: - We asked what our options were for self-packing and asked for detailed requirements on what this entailed (which we carefully followed) - We specifically asked how to pack our glass dining table and what precautions to take - We confirmed we could take our live plants - We were told delivery could take from anywhere between 4 and 21 days after the movers came, with a high probability it would be closer to 4 days - We were sold on the white-glove door-to-door delivery service It sounded like a good deal, and Joe seemed like a good guy, so we coordinated a pick-up date - very important since we had a flight to catch to our destination the next day - and signed the contract. For the next several weeks, we packed our belongings, taking care to have everything packed the week *before* we moved so we could provide our final box count to Big Bens as requested. We were aware that if we changed our box count after the cutoff date, we could possibly be charged more. So even though it meant living out of suitcases for the last week before moving, we finished ahead of time - we had a budget to stick to. We stayed up until midnight the night before the movers were supposed to come to finalize everything, including wrapping all our furniture in plastic / blankets as Joe had advised. Joe had confirmed a few days before our move that the moving crew was to arrive between 8 AM and 12 PM, so we both took the whole day off work. The morning came, and we were eager to get the show on the road. We waited... and waited... and the movers didn’t come. We started making phone calls - and not one person was able to help us or even have the courtesy to call us back. Joe was nowhere to be found. Finally, after hours of anxiously trying to find out what was going on, we were informed that we had been scheduled for a move the next day , despite having explained to Joe our flight schedule and that we needed the movers to come on the day we agreed on. The next morning came, and again - no call, no communication from the movers. Finally, they arrived, 2 hours before we had to leave for the airport. The first thing we were told was that we would be charged an additional $800 for our glass dining table and other items that needed to be re-packed, and for living on the 3rd floor (which we had clearly told Joe). Oh, and our plants? The moving crew scoffed at us - you can’t take plants to California; you’re crossing state lines. So much for that. Thanks, Joe. The movers packed and moved out our things - not in a particularly hurried manner - even though we had expressed several times our urgency to get to the airport to catch our flight. The movers then proceeded to rush us through paperwork and we were on our way. The days started passing. We waited four, five, six, seven days and finally called to get an update on when our items might arrive. After another several failed attempts to connect with anyone at Big Bens (again, no one called us back), we were told our items were on their way with our driver. Eleven, twelve, thirteen days passed. We called again, several times, to get an ETA (only then were we told that the 4 to 21 day estimate was business days, not calendar days and that our driver was making multiple stops throughout the United States). We were still not provided an ETA since nobody seemed to know the driver’s route (?!). Finally, the driver arrived (on less than a day’s notice, even though we were told we would get a 48-hour notice). We were relieved - at least our items had finally arrived (after 3 weeks). As soon as the driver opened the truck, the anxiety kicked in again. The truck was packed with such negligence, it looked like everything was going to be toast. And we weren’t wrong. As we started helping the driver unload the truck (so much for that white-glove door-to-door delivery), the damage had become apparent: - Multiple boxes labeled "FRAGILE" on all sides - crushed - Our glass dining table (that we were charged extra for packing when the movers came) - shattered - Both of our dressers - warped as if they had been left out in the rain - Our couch - totally stained and ruined - The list goes on... PLEASE STAY AWAY. THIS COMPANY IS TRASH.

The movers themselves were hardworking and pleasant. The rest of the experience was absurd. Move was scheduled for Tuesday, they rescheduled to Thursday where we were given a window of noon-4pm. Got a call at 3:30pm, they would not be able to move us until Sunday. That was unacceptable, but we had no choice but to accept this. I had asked about the time mentioned in the contract, that they had to deliver our belongings. I had made it clear I would need a full truck and Chris said the days they were allowed to deliver would not be pertinent, as I would use the full truck and the truck would drive directly to my new home. That seemed to make sense so I didn’t question it further. I thought that Chris charged me for a totally full truck, I made it clear we had lots of furniture and would bring as much as we could. Needless to say, I was charged an additional $2,000+ as the cubic feet I paid for was not the full truck. I also had to pay for packing certain items I had discussed with Chris. I also learned when the movers arrived that the truck was not going direct and could take up to 20 days to arrive. I immediately called Chris and the headquarters, I was furious. We ended up having to pay another $2,500 to get the truck to go directly to our house as I had been told it would. The move cost almost double what I was quoted. With a lot of stress, time on phone trying to get clarification. The company refunded us $250 on a $12,000 bill. I am still furious with the credit offered to us, seems like a really great way to make sure a customer will not be satisfied. In short, I would be very careful about hiring this company.

We recently had Big Ben’s move us. And due to a fast closing on the house and the holiday weekend, we did not have time to pack. So we opted in for the full packing service. The crew from Big Ben’s packed every single thing in our house carefully and professionally. With no rush and no shortcuts. The pickup crew was super professional and very friendly. It was totally worth every penny spent for our belongings to be handled with care and packed by them. My sales representative Elvin K. is very knowledgeable in regards to the amount of boxes to be moved and packed. Thank you for making this move less stressful. The delivery happened earlier this morning and I couldn’t be happier. I would definitely recommend them to a friend or family member.

I hired Big Bens for a long distance move because I felt they were best suited to get my personal belongings safely. I was quoted by several companies. My company was covering the expenses for fight and moving costs but requested I get three vendors quotes for the move and my vehicle transport. Big Bens was just slightly more affordable than the other two. The price was not The reason at all why I selected them. They offered a lot of unique features that stood out to me. On top of everything else they were friendly and respectful. The other two companies were of similar caliber but they were really pressing me every day to make a reservation. I understood the necessity but it didn’t leave a good taste in my mouth. Robin and Richard (our moving reps for the car and home) were very gracious and thoughtful about my families time when it came to making a reservation and planning the process. I had so much to plan around this move and I didn’t get any sense of pressure from Robin or Richard. Big Bens held a strong reputation so it just felt like they were there to help me not just earn my business. On the date of the move things went by very quick so I can’t exactly pull any specific details except for the following two. The crew lead by David were really professional. They made some cool crate for my wife’s mirror. (Will add picture shortly). They also found my old college graduation ring that I thought i lost (it was under my garage freezer). The crew were wearing masks and we were in the family room the whole day siting in our foldable chairs. I can’t imagine anyone wants to move during this pandemic but Big Bens assured me that their movers will be wearing masks and wiping down every furniture and using new blankets. They even helped clean the furniture at my delivery. When they finished loading the truck, David brought over the inventory and I didn’t even realize that they tagged all my items up. The move out took a while even though it felt like a blur. I guess it’s a process no matter what. Delivery took about eight days but that’s ok. We anticipated for 11 days. I’m writing them a review for the following reasons: Quality of work: A+ Timely: A+ Price: A Customer service: A+ Overall score is A + I’m really appreciative for everything they did for me. Moving is tough and stressful especially during Covid, I can’t imagine how it can be even more stressful. They took the pressure off of my family and me. I can not thank them enough for their professional care.

My biggest takeaway after all of the moving, is that it doesn’t have to be difficult (that’s if you booked with right company). My close friend needed a moving company to get their stuff over to a new place. They asked me to find them a company i thought would do a good job. So glad They went with Big Ben’s Moving and Storage. Not only professional, but super personable. They were in a tight spot with everything happening in the country and physically getting to the apartment till a couple days before the move. They helped the by professionally packing everything into boxes and took care of the furniture with the moving pads. The apartment was completely empty by the time they were done. And not to mention, They lived on a 3 floor walk-up! The moving team had the best attitude about it all. So grateful. If I ever need to move, last minute or not, I will call Big Ben’s first.
