If you're moving from Chicago, save yourself the trouble and hire Bernard. With the direct-move option, the same crew packed our things, loaded the truck, drove cross-country, and unloaded it the next day. Jacob and his team were extremely professional, punctual, and respectful of our belongings. We also hired them to pack our kitchen and they did so very carefully. Everything arrived intact, including our delicate china. The price was fair, and substantially below some other quotes we got. After a quick visit to the apartment, they provided a binding quote and stuck to it: no surprises on delivery. The only thing that could have been improved was some of the communication with the office. We spoke to a few different people, and the information wasn't always conveyed from one to the other. Try asking for Mina if you can; she was on top of things.”

They were a good company but I realized that my Cubs coat was gone and they would not do anything about it. I called the owner and she said her men don’t steal. I told her I watched the coat go into the wardrobe box and they were “so nice” that they hung up all the clothes in the closet. I did not look for it right away but when I did the owner said at first I must have misplaced it. I will NEVER use BENARD MOVERS again and I have told my friends not to use them either. The owner stopped taking my calls after 3 days.”
