This review is long overdue. A&E Moving helped me move from Cumberland to downtown Portland at the beginning of 2020. I cannot say enough positive things about this company, but let me hit a few key issues: Professionalism - I called several different moving companies before connecting with A&E. Talking with Shane was a very positive qualitative difference. Unlike another local company that spoke very quickly - as if I were wasting their time! - and refused to give me an estimate of hours to move me, Shane's experience with moving customers into my building communicated a confidence on which I knew I could rely. He communicated clearly about cost drivers and provided me with an estimate of how long the move would take (which turned out to be spot on). This professionalism was also evident in his team. Chris, Mike (a/k/a Lurch), and Justin were my movers. They not only moved me out of my Cumberland location seamlessly, they also made the requested stop at Habitat ReStore to donate items. At all times, they were pleasant and focused on getting the job done efficiently. Responsiveness - I was initially supposed to move in December 2019, but I came down with the flu. *ON THE DAY OF THE MOVE* I had to reschedule, and was only charged a one hour rescheduling fee. Price - A&E Moving are very competitively priced, particularly in light of the quality of their services. I received several quotes before I chose to go with A&E. With the first-time customer discount (and including my cancellation fee) A&E was 50% less than one national/regional moving company and on par with local moving companies. I have used three different movers in and around the Portland, Maine area in the 6 years that I've lived in Maine, and from now on, I will only use A&E Moving! Thanks, Shane and Team!”
