I needed more than a man with a van but didn't want to spend a ton on full white glove movers. Called Jay, (found on Craigslist so no personal recommendation) told him I had a 10x10x10 storage locker filled with household worth of stuff to move into my newly renovated home. He quoted me $105/ hr for 17' truck & 2 guys. tie downs & hand-truck included of course. $50 optional insurance covered $7500 of goods. James & Joe arrived promptly at the agreed time with a clean truck and got straight to work. They didn't pause for a minute even though it took 4 hours to load and when I brought them some drinks & food they still didn't stop. Both James & Joe were excellent communicators, between each other organizing the truck, and with my son, bf & me as we were 'helping'. There are myriad other positives about the move, like how my pristine freshly painted walls and still wet door frames were kept in perfect condition and how James was still smiling in 88° sun after 5 hours. I'd like to acknowledge how chill and flexible Jay was during my last minute booking. I committed by phone, he sent a deposit invoice by email, but I got cold feet after reading some unfavorable reviews here on yelp. I normally hang out on google, not here, so I hadn't seen them earlier. I called Jay back to express my hesitation and give him a chance to address and he was a total pro. Put my fears to rest & made good on all promises. For the record, I paid AFTER everything was unloaded. Dunno what those folks are talking about stuff being held hostage. No such thing, only smooth sailing. To be filed under: A+ service.”

Horrible experience. If I could give them zero stars, I would. They don’t even deserve one star. I was told I would have a 26ft truck. They showed up with a smaller truck but said they would do two trips. Fine. The movers they sent were not even employed by them. They sent 2 movers and one of them just had dental surgery that morning so he was miserable and didn’t do much. The whole move took them FOREVER because they basically had 1.5 guys. The driver helped a little bit but barely. They were slow and weren’t strong enough to move my furniture. I and my nephew had to help with some things. They damaged walls and furniture and the owner won’t even reply to me. He tried to tell me that because they took so long, they were charging me for additional hours. If they sent 2 strong FULLY CAPABLE men, maybe they would’ve gotten it done in less than 12 hours. They “built” the furniture but didn’t even use the screws to put it back together. They broke my daughters bunk beds to where I can’t even build them. Never again. I filed a small claims suit and will see them in court.”

Beware- what a scam! Horrible service. They will rip you off. When I called their boss (Jay Barnhill), he told me the move includes everything, no hidden costs. I asked specifically about extra time and moving supplies to which I got a condescending reply ‘we are a moving company sir’ and that we will bring all our supplies and our guys are v professional and guarantee no damage and we won’t charge anything extra. I asked for a contractual agreement to which I got you have proof in email/texts. Come moving day- 2 guys came 2 hours late. Did not have ANY supplies to securely wrap glass or TV. The tv was wrapped with CLOTH. broke my lamp (just dropped it). Took forever to fit in the sofa in the elevator- kept arguing it can’t be fit in after which I kid you not, I took 10 mins to figure out an angle and showed them and the sofa fit in perfectly. Next sofa they just refused to take down elevator and said we will take down stairs and only if you pay extra. I mean wth I thought we decided everything is included. Anyway, we left 2 hours earlier than they did to Boston however they reached 2 hours later than us. So now they’re at my new place and refusing to unload. I get a call from the boss who is telling me to pay extra cuz they are ‘overtime’? I was shocked and showed him his own emails and texts- he stated screaming and threatened that my stuff won’t be unloaded. He asked for unreasonably extra money, so disrespectful. I ended up paying and once stuff was unloaded, my new bed was damaged from 3 diff sides, sofa damaged, lamps broken. I wrote to this boss multiple times with pictures who had claimed such professional service and got no reply. I will go ahead and report these guys now. Please be careful, these guys seem to carefully find ways to rip you off. Extremely unprofessional, total scam.”

On the DAY of my move the day I HAVE to leave my apartment. I called to confirm they said yes we will be there between 12 and 2 when I booked a 10 to 1 slot. Fine. I moved other appointments around and reschedule everything I had to do so. At 2 pm they cancelled leaving me high and dry. Told my husband that he’s not going back and forth, to reschedule or be refunded SOO UNPROFESSIONAL. I am not stuck trying to find same day movers with no remorse from this company that I already paid $100 to reserve. NOPE not recommended!”

I contracted ABE to arrive at 0800. They did not show until 1130. The two laborers pace was slow when not being supervised, though they did a great job in using every square inch of the pods. There was an additional fuel charge tacked on to the invoice that was never mentioned. I personally would look elsewhere for help if I needed it again, however if you are in a pinch and don't need to maintain a schedule, you could do worse.”

I called on 12/26/20 to inquire about the price to move some furniture into my new apartment. Small job, short distance (like 200 yards)...quoted me a price of $360.00 for a minimum of 4 hours. The job would probably take them 1-2 hours tops. I spoke to Jay, and told him I would get back to him...I did not even finish my thought and he hung up on me. I guess he didn’t feel my job was “worth it.” I was polite, and his response was unprofessional. I would not recommend this “company” to anyone. Jay needs to go to school to learn how to properly run a business. Maybe he could also get some help on customer service? I dodged a bullet by NOT hiring this “company.””
