“ Was quoted for $350 move stating it would only take 3 hours to complete. I used to work for two men and truck and I thought that would be a normal amount of time for them to move. The manager also quoted me three men to move. The movers were 3 hours late. Only two people showed up which the one was on the phone making appointments half the time. I was helping the other mover move. Two other men showed about an hour later to help finish the move. Although the three men that actually were helping me move were very polite I did not expect to be charged $618 for 3 hours a moving in 1 hour of “drive time”. They moved me from Stone Mountain to Atlanta. It does not take that long to drive to Atlanta especially now with the virus.”

“ I booked with this company 3 weeks prior to my move and paid a deposit the same day. The day before my move I hadn’t received a call confirming my move date and time. So I called the company and spoke with Evan who started that my paperwork was misplaced and that my move time would have to be moved. I informed him that was unacceptable and that I had other things planned. He quickly got an attitude and spoke very rude. He wanted to be argue with me that I should be more accommodating to what his company was going through due to Covid. I informed him on numerous occasions that my issue was that nobody reached out to me and had I not called him at 8:00 pm nobody from the company would have reached out to me. I will NEVER use this company and if you’re looking for a moving company please continue to look for others companies.”

I spoke with Evan and he told me he can have a crew out to me between 11 and 12 on the day of my move. My crew was Eugene, Joseph, Rock, Stafford and Christie.When I say the screw showed up and showed out it was exactly that. My belongings were in storage, they professionally wrapped everything and had the truck packed in an hour and a half. They had a little delay in the morning due to fuel issues, but when they arrived at our home they did not slow down and we had two trucks full with five guys. “ I hired southern comfort movers for a local in state move. Only 15 minutes. Very friendly on the phone and professional looking website. That’s about as far as it went. First, supposed to arrive between 9:30-10:30 and finally call at 10:15 saying 30 minutes out. They arrived at 11:30. Their website says professional uniformed workers well there was no uniforms but just street clothes. Which is fine but felt was a misrepresentation of their description. They showed up in a rented U-haul truck. I only had furniture moved from a small 3 bedroom home. It took over 3 hours just to move everything out. It took them almost an hour to go 15 minutes down the road before arriving at my new house. To say they moved at a snail’s pace is an understatement. Also, they weren’t able to get everything from my old house and I had to rent a U-haul trailer and do it myself. I was charged for moving my grill but they didn’t move it. They said they’d go back for it because their was no room in the rented 26 foot U-haul truck. They never did but I was charged for it. We only moved furniture so no boxes. There should’ve been plenty of room for the grill or at least told me they would go back or figure out a solution. Finally after everything was moved in we went to pay and one of the workers came up to the boss and said, “Make sure he knows gratuity is not included.” I felt that was extremely rude. This is were the rude starts. After they leave, one comes back, walks in and says just going to use the microwave to heat up my sandwich. Not ask but just said they are doing that. Then noticed our new finish wood floors were all scratched up from them moving and pushing stuff across the floors. I called and was supposed to get a claims form within 24-48 hours. Never received that and have called back to never get a response. Then to continue the rudeness, I informed the person on the phone the crew had left their trash in my old house. Cups from Race Track and left over wrappers from Burger King. Just left on the floor. How unprofessional can you get? I went with this company over others because of the reviews. Maybe I got a bad crew but when I spoke to the person on the phone, they informed me the boss was a senior mover and knows better than to leave trash. I would highly recommend going with another company. I’ve moved multiple times and had many movers. This was by far the worst ones I have ever had. Please go with another moving company!”

“ I cannot recommend Southern Comfort moving company enough. Last week another moving company that I booked months ago, cancelled my move on the day I was supposed to move. With a stress level through the roof I started calling around frantically looking for a new mover. By the grace of God, I found Southern Comfort movers. Evan White picked up the phone at 8pm at night after normal business hours and was incredibly kind. Although he had a pretty full week of moves scheduled, he said he’d come to my house next day for an estimate and scheduled my move the day after that. In spite of doing other moves early in the day, he still showed up with his sweet crew and moved most of my stuff until almost midnight that night. When we realized that not everything would fit on the truck, he rearranged his schedule again and returned a 2nd night after doing a move for someone else earlier in the day and finished moving the remainder of my stuff and got everything into storage as I needed. I seriously cannot say how grateful for this hard working company and for the dedication of Evan White to get our job done even under difficult circumstances. Evan is a true gentleman, so polite and kind, and incredibly hard working. He picked up the phone every single time I called which is a rare quality these days. His crew is polite and they moved my furniture with care- every item wrapped and protected well. If I could give this company more than the 5 stars I would!”

I had to go out and get a u-haul and struggle to get it moved. I let Evan know and nothing was done to try and help me. I later realized while unpacking that some of my totes with personal items was taken as well. I was taken advantage of in the worst way. Single ladies beware!”
