“ I am writing this review because of the really bad experience that I had with a recent move. I have maybe moved too many times trying to find a good place for me, after my wife died 3 years ago. I also helped a good friend with her recent move by paying for it, and this is the one that I am writing the review for. Anyway, I have used NL Moving 4 times before this one. All those moves were really good, so I scheduled a 5th one. First, the 2 men moving my friend were very slow. Maybe that is because when they first got to her house Friday afternoon, they said that they had a hard move Friday morning – maybe they were just tired. If that is true, then maybe I should not have been charged for all of the 6 hours that I took them to move her to a 2-bedroom duplex in an over 50 community. The drive time was about 30 minutes and they had no packing to do except put 2 TV’s into boxes. Secondly, there were 2 small tables that were slightly damaged. The third and real problem was that her king size bed with adjustable base was not put together, really at all. We did not notice that until her 61-year-old son that was helping her put things away went to help her make the bed. There was a metal bar protruding from under the bed. It was on the side of the bed that she uses, and if she had bushed up against the mattress, could have injured her leg. A cut or scrape might have been the best outcome, because if the protruding bar had caused this 79-year-old woman to fall, she could have been seriously injured! The cross-piece brace was left laying loose on its side under the bed. Now, on most adjustable beds and with this one, the bed frame only holds up the headboard, and they had bolted the headboard to part of the frame. The 2 adjustable base pieces that hold the mattress fit inside the bed frame. Again, at first glance everything seemed good. However, her son and I (75 years old) spent about an hour taking off the heavy king size mattress, moving the 2 adjustable pieces back, and putting the frame together. Luckily, her son is pretty good at figuring things out since we had never seen the bed frame by itself. Like a jig saw puzzle we figured out how to put it together correctly. Then we had to lift the heavy 2 adjustable pieces over part of the bed frame and then put the mattress back on the bed. When I called the moving company about the move, they seemed more concerned with the minor damage to the small tables then to what I think is an overcharge and also the third and much more serious element of the king size bed not being put back together. They have not even contacted me about the damaged tables after I sent them pictures. Needless to say, I will never use NL Moving again. Nick did call me this morning, and blamed the long time on a short problem with a drop off. He said that drop offs take a long time, and gave an example of a stop at McDonalds's taking 22 minutes. Of course a stop to eat takes time. He also said that we should have watched them put the bed together, but I said that we did not think that we would need to, and were helping the other mover place furniture. As I told Nick, we did not notice that the bed frame was not put together as it looked like it was with the mattress and headboard in place. There may have been a short walk through, but they did not point out that the bed frame was not put together or show us photos of the damage to the tables, that Nick said was there before the move. The only contact that I had with the company was a week ago when they wanted photos of the damage to the tables, and I sent them a text with the damage and heard nothing more from them. I waited a few days before I made the review hoping to hear from Nick, but only heard after he read the truthful and bad review. I would like to see the photos that they took showing that they were damaged before the move, because I don't that that were damaged before the move. I will never use them again! Would you if you had used them with good results, but then the last one was so bad?”

“ I highly recommend NL moving company by far! They have been nothing but amazing and patient with me, due to an unfortunate circumstances, I couldn’t pay the full amount in order to have them compete the full move to my new location, FL. Instead, I had to rent a U-Haul, load it and drive everything myself. Understanding my situation, Mark, took it upon himself to offer having him and his crew help load all my stuff on the truck at a price I couldn’t pass! Mind you, I have a lot of stuff that weighed 10,800 lb and for awhile, it didn’t look like it all was going to fit! Wow course that had me slightly worried I’d have to leave some of my stuff behind. I was wrong! Mark and his crew made sure everything got onto that U-Haul truck and trailer, with no room to spare, while doing all this in the freezing temperatures and for several hours. Mark from the start assured me everything was going to be alright, he was right. He and his badass crew help give me the comforters of home again, with after 3 months of not having any of my things. You can definitely count on Mark and his company to come through for you! I can’t thank you enough Mark!”

“ I will be getting an attorney. First they showed up 3 hours late and I was told she couldn't even get ahold of the movers. Didn't know where they were after I already moved everything out of my storage. 2nd they forgot my glass inserts to ALL my tables and I was told they will be brought back to me. They didn't go back and pick them up and now will not answer the phone. I also have been refused a receipt for reimbursement for my cost. This is the most absurd company I have ever dealt with and they will be served before the end of the week. This is the worst business practices over ever seen. I will also be calling news 9 whom has already reviewed the story.”
