“ I am certain that most people have had challenges with movers. From showing up late, breaking items, overcharging. I am certain that many have had challenges with movers either moving slower than a snail or moving so quickly that you tense up thinking your items will be damaged. I am certain that many of you have dealt with the "office" of a moving company and then have dealt with the "crew" the day of the move. Well, what I can say about Moving Buddies is the following: 1) Clear communication from initial contact 2) Responsive both via email, telephone AND text, 3) Customer/Client focused - took the time to explain their procedures, provided alternatives, suggestions 4) Patient 5) Consistent. THESE five things were NOT just the "office" . The moving crew had these very skill sets. I received a call 30 min before the arrival window from the Crew Lead providing an update as to arrival. Arrived 5 min earlier. The office called 45 min BEFORE the crew to indicate that the crew would call. From the point of load/unload TRUE COMMUNICATION. When there was the need for clarity the crew asked question(s). Upon unloading the same. I cannot, cannot recommend a more community focused and driven company. We all have "buddies'' that help out when it's time to move Moving Buddies is like all the cousins working together to get grandma moved. “ I had a complicated move - from an apartment and a storage to an apartment and another storage. I first hired them because I saw them moving my neighbor to my old apartment. The car they came in was immaculate, almost as if it was ready for a photo shoot. Normally they post perfect photos on their website as advertisement but when they arrive it's completely different (Tucson Movers was a good example). And one of the movers, later found out it was Jesse, was in such a happy spirit he just greeted me in the parking lot even though I was just a stranger walking by. I have never seen non-grumpy movers as I always expected to be grumpy and irritated, which was understandable because it's such a physically stressful work. I've had good and terrible movers in the past and this was far the BEST moving company I've ever hired in my life and I move a lot. I moved three times this year alone. My fiancé too said the exact same thing and he moved quite a bit himself. Jesse and Dago were so professional and happy spirited all throughout. It was over 100 degrees outside and when it got too hard after carrying a few challenging items, they would start joking with each other to keep the spirit up. They showed up on time and their boss is very strict on them calling him to make sure they check in. They worked till dark but rarely took a break nor goofed off even when I told them to (completely opposite from Tucson Movers that they kept disappearing and taking long breaks if I didn't follow them around and constantly stopping to text and talk on the phone throughout). I bought them pizza for lunch as they kept working past lunch time. They were so grateful and refused to take lunch break until they finished the last row. They felt comfortable as a stopping point, which took another 20 minutes. And I couldn't believe how strong they were. My goodness they were far stronger than I expected. If I had a moving company I would definitely hire them at a heartbeat. There was a small mistake at this end and I couldn't find one item that I was certain ended up in the storage that was supposed to come to the apartment. They came back the next day after another moving job was finished and helped me take EVERYTHING out of the storage that was stacked up to the ceiling like Tetris (6'x8') and put them back on their own time. They didn't even tell their boss about their good deeds. I ended up finding it in my apartment luggage later on. I felt terrible but Jesse was so glad I was able to find it after all. Nothing was damaged! This is my first moving experience with nothing damaged. I've always had things destroyed or damaged so I just assume it's going to happen but not this time. I can't praise enough and honestly I can't find a single negative thing to comment about them. I will hire them again as long as I'm in Tucson. They deserved big tips! Highly strongly recommended! If I had hired another moving company, I would have not only paid more, it would have taken a lot longer. FYI, I had so much stuff that the 26' truck was PACKED all the way to the top and to the back. No more rooms for bikes. They quickly came up with a solution to tie them on the back of the truck! Brilliant!”

“ They showed up in an Enterprise rental truck. I suppose they couldn't afford to get their own logo printed on their truck. This makes it a bit tricky to know when your movers have arrived. They started charging me from the minute they arrived. Most movers will charge you when they actually begin the move. I had to wait for them to get their equipment out of the truck and ask me some questions before they began my move. They demolished a built-like-a-tank 1950s sewing machine—packed in layers of bubble wrap and a heavy cardboard box. It has survived many moves, but is now gone forever. My loveseat fabric abraded (wrapped in blankets and shrink wrap) because they were too rough getting it through a doorway. They should be called "Manhandle Movers." One guy didn't know what "This Side Up" meant. When he began unloading the truck, he was tediously attempting to untie the rope that held things in place. I had to inform him to cut the rope. My move would have cost 50% more if I had to wait through all those tight knots being tediously untied. That same guy thought it was okay to leave my desk and dining room table on the floor upside down. He was a very nice guy, but not the sharpest crayon in the box. There was no option for paper receipt. Their travel fee was far higher than any company I've ever moved with. This move caused more damage than any other move in my life.—and I've moved many, many times. They force you to give them a rating as you are signing off on their form at the end of the move. This is not the best time—you are wiped out from moving and can't assess any damages yet. This practice makes them look better than they actually are.”
