“ After calling several local companies for estimates, a friend recommended 208 Moving — and after the first call, I found them to be the best choice, as they were able to move several large/awkward items affordably — like a piano and a refrigerator — rather than me having to hire an additional moving company to handle (which was the case with some of the other companies). During the initial call with Rob, I was confused about a couple of his questions and I miscommunicated the number of stairs leading into our new place, which ultimately complicated their efforts to move some larger items. However, despite my mistake, Luke assured me they would do whatever they could to manage the job within my budget. And they went above and beyond! On the day of the move, Luke, Brad, Cedric, and Brett showed up right on time and worked quickly to transport my furniture (which is important when you're paying movers by the hour). When i asked for a quote i didn't hear about the transportation charge, which in my case ended up being about $120. Which is quite significant. Luckily, Brad and Cedric were very quick so i didn't actually go too much over budget. For next users, it's important to know: rate is $150/hour and the minimum they can take is 1.5 hours. So you are looking at a base rate of $225. Then there's the transportation charge. I'd ask explicitly about this. Best of luck to all the movers and thank you for your help. I really wanted to move through this company because of the high rating but I called and spoke to Daniel and he scheduled me for today August 3 and when nobody showed I called and spoke to Matt. He then told me I was scheduled for tomorrow the 4th. They didn't know I record all my calls so when I went and listened to the initial phone call, Daniel clearly states the 3rd. Matt didn't seem apologetic or concerned at all. He blamed Daniel and said "Well I wasn't here. We can just cancel it all together." Woooow... so I went from having an appointment, to being moved without asking, to now no appointment at all. How rude! Not a good first impression. I'll take my business elsewhere.”

“ Guys worked fast and very hard, but they went too fast. Dented my wall, hardwood floor, scratched some furniture, didn't put boxes in correct rooms, just went to fast. I would have gladly paid for another hour to have no dents, dings etc. Owner states that boxes in wrong rooms fall on me, I guess his guys can't read " loft " " kitchen " even after they had taken boxes to these rooms already. His mover dents my wall and says nothing, I found it later, same with other dents and furniture dings, am I supposed to do a full inspection of my home as they are moving me in ? Maybe I should have filed a claim so you could have replaced my hardwood floor that your guys dented in more than one place. Oh, and when they were moving me from my old house 3 of the 4 guys would put their hands on the wall leading up the staircase, should have I told them not to do that Danny ?Like I said, guys were in too big of a hurry.”
