Moving is never easy and what is more you will need to make your new residence a cozy place. How to live the first months with comfort, if the new place is not yet fully furnished after moving? It is vital if you are going to move for the first time in your life. We can give a hint on how to make your nest comfortable according to feng shui. Let’s put a magic Lo-Shu square on it, check all the sectors, one by one, and watch the flying stars.
Moving is always stressful especially if we are talking about long distance moving. We have some advice for you to stay calm. First of all you need to decide what kind of move it will be. You have 3 options: DIY, hybrid or full service moving. Download a moving checklist not to forget anything. Plan a moving budget beforehand, use tools like a moving cost calculator and be prepared to spend some extra. Choose a reliable and reputable moving company if you decide to hire movers, check moving company reviews and ask for at least 3 moving quotes from different moving companies.
Yes, be ready to start with unpacking your belongings and trying to place every thing to its place. But! If there is such an opportunity-come to your new home, and while it is empty and no one is there, walk around, look around (even if you know everything perfectly well and have already been there a hundred times before). “Communicate” mentally with the empty house. What ideas come to your mind immediately? What do you suddenly want to add, put, remove, repaint? What do you think? What’s the atmosphere like there? — That’s the right course of action.
Moving Fact: It happens (and most often it happens this way) that it is impossible to come to a new house or a new apartment and wander alone. Nothing wrong. So, when you have already moved, you choose the time while your family is on a walk or at work, and “communicate” with the space.
You should act in the standard way: take a compass, a plan of the apartment and impose a Lo-Shu square in relation to the cardinal directions. Make a quick sketch and identify the main sectors of interest to you. Again, try to calmly, without fanaticism, look at the arrangement of sectors as a whole. You have basic life plans, don’t you? Roughly speaking, give birth to a child, find a new job? Then look at the sectors of Children and Careers most closely and first of all. The rest just mark for yourself.
Tip:You should not activate all nine sectors at once — only harm yourself. There is not enough energy for everything, and then even the main goals will not be fulfilled. Mentally identify priorities (no more than three) and focus on them. When the furniture arrives in the house, you will already arrange things based on your tasks. Perhaps this article about finding strategically important points of your new apartment in Feng Shui will help you.
The fact that Feng Shui for you will begin long before the arrangement of furniture and the purchase of any talismans. It begins just at the moment when you look around the new home and decide: here will be this, and here that. I’m ready. That’s when the miracles begin, because you put the intention.
Look out of the window, look carefully with a fresh look at the interior of the apartment. Are there any sharp corners of billboards looking out your windows? Isn’t there a single factory chimney in the middle of the space outside the window? Is there a sharp angle that goes straight into the room (sometimes it happens in apartments of irregular shape), is the corridor too long (the negative energy of Sha is dispersed only in a straight line), do not more than two doors open into the hall?
Use the plan to determine where the center is in your apartment. It is responsible for health. If you have an apartment with a complex shape, determine intuitively-where do you think the center is?
What is it and why is it? It often happens that someone from the household is engaged in practices, meditates, reflects, writes books, does yoga. To do this, you need to create special conditions and a special place. “Pawn” it before entering the apartment. Usually, a person who practices has already trained his/her intuition well and knows exactly where he/she is comfortable.
Bring a few candles to your new apartment, intuitively feel (absolutely everyone will get it) where you would like to put them. Light it up for a while.
Tip: Candles are better to use stable and thick. Or such small ones, in casings — they are as safe as possible.
A strategically important point in the apartment is the dining table and the first meal on it. It is important to have a solemn dinner with the whole family in the new house. Even if the furniture is not properly arranged, and the moving boxes around are unopened. You must symbolically start a new order in the house.
Find an ordinary bell (best suited Valdai, but you can also use ceramic). Aerobatics — use a singing bowl (but not everyone has it, so it is quite possible to limit yourself to a bell). Ring every corner, as well as all the spaces that seem “stagnant” to you. You will look funny. But this has been tested many times: it works! You will notice that the sound in some places will first be somewhat muffled, and then, after a few minutes of ringing, it will clear.
For the most diligent: if you feel that there is somehow too much “alien” energy in the new space, spread out small mounds of coarse salt in small containers or directly on the floor. After 24 hours, sweep everything out and throw it away. In any case, do not use such salt in food later.
Refreshment of energies
And now, when you understand where which sector is in the new house, which stars have been removed and everything has been cleaned-start activating the Yang energies in the sectors that are most interesting to you. Say, in one or two, or up to three. Put bouquets of flowers or plants in tubs there.
It is especially useful to do if you are not moving from a dead point in some areas of life. So you will turn out beautifully, and none of your friends and family will guess what you are doing here (this is for those who have the whole family against Feng shui).
If you want and if you have some special love for crystals and stones-buy an assistant in the house: a beautiful druze or a large crystal. Universal stone-rock crystal. Also work for our purposes amethyst, rose quartz, smoky quartz. Large balls of natural stone and huge rare druses are quite expensive, but will become a kind of guardian of the house.
It is believed that every stone has its own character. And indeed, try to conduct an experiment in the store: even if you know exactly what you want, say, to buy amethyst, you will not pick up any stone — only the one that “calls”. It will be correct. And again, no one will guess that you are “doing feng shui” here.
Pay attention to how the lighting is planned for your new apartment. This is important because light activates the Yang energies after moving. In areas that are personally important to you must be bright. If the stationary light is not supplied, light candles as often as possible or use battery-powered lamps.
So, with the new housing, we have figured out all the details. And what to do with our apartment or the house that we leave? We all intuitively want to get rid of old things as much as possible. First, so that there is less to drag, and secondly, we internally feel that it is time for something to leave our lives. But, as a rule, there are no forces (and time) to think over each little thing. Try to enjoy your life and find positive sides everywhere. Tired at the third hour of packing boxes, you drag all the dull energy to the new house. Watch our useful videos on how to pack like a pro to make your life easier. Therefore, do not be lazy, start looking as fresh as possible long before moving to everything that surrounds you.
