How to Pack Your Clothes and Books for Moving
You have probably packed your clothes a hundred times for traveling and maybe a couple of times for moving. If you have, you should know the difference. You can’t put your winter coat away thinking: “Oh, I’m not going to need it in the nearest couple of weeks!” But, you still have to consider putting some items away, donate or just toss them to be able to move smoothly and successfully. You are just about to make way too many non-sentimental decisions as for your wardrobe is concerned. And those are the decisions you’ll have to make on your own, the rest can be done by a packing or moving company. One rule that will help you here: if you have not put a thing on for half a year (a year for seasonal clothes) it is time to get rid of it! Sorry, good old blue jeans from high school 🙁 We pack ONLY what we wear! And we pack up ONLY the way it stays safe during the move.If you are on a tight budget or there is any other reason you choose to pack your move yourself, a non-less important issue is to choose the material you’d choose for packing. Some gentle items require special wardrobe boxes or waterproof cases, other things like hats, shoes, or accessories have to be packed safely to avoid jamming or breakage. Therefore we recommend that you take note of several important packaging rules and learn what packaging materials are best to use if you opt for DIY packing.
