U-Pack, the largest brand within the ABF Moving family, is the convenient way to save money moving. You pack, load and unload containers or trailers, and our company does the driving. With U-Pack, a moving trailer or container is delivered right to your door, you load it, and an experienced carrier like ABF Freight℠ drives it to your new location. Similar to PODS or Mayflower, our delivers the ReloCube container or trailer to your door for loading. With U-Pack, once it’s loaded, company will pick it up and store it securely at either the origin or destination service center that services your location. When you’re ready for delivery, just call – we will schedule an appointment to deliver right to your door.
Moving-Me about U-Pack
Designed to provide flexibility from start to finish, U-Pack trailers are the perfect solution for any long-distance move. They will provide a space estimate based on your home size, but how much you use is up to you. This storage locations are not climate controlled, which isn’t a problem for most household goods. But, if you’re moving any temperature-sensitive items, you may consider bringing them with you rather than putting them in the equipment. Reserve your move with a major credit card or debit card, then pay by card or by PayPal® after your shipment is loaded. You’ll need to pay in full before the shipment can be delivered to you at the destination or unloaded at the service center. They are unable to accept cash or personal checks. U-Pack costs are based on the linear footage used in the moving trailer or the number of ReloCubes you use. And, there’s no down payment or deposit — just pay securely by credit card when your items are in transit.

Here is my disclaimer: I am not entirely sure what ABF U-Pack Moving I used. My paperwork says their address is on Rogers Ave, in Fort Smith. I wish I had the name of every single person I spoke with, because each was more helpful than the next, and I would like to thank them for helping make an emotionally difficult move, so much easier. I was trying to do a very small move from Iowa to California and had no idea how to do something like that. I spoke with 11 different movers. Hands down, U-Pack was the absolute best! I had lots of questions, over a 2 month planning period, and no matter when I called or emailed, I received a nearly immediate response. Everyone patiently answered my many questions. I found their online support to be great, also. I used their website to read suggestions for a successful move and even watched a couple packing videos! I also purchased packing materials from them online, and found them to be exactly what I needed and at a better price then stores. Pricing for the move was competitive, and everything happened exactly as they said it would. My cube arrived in California, and with no exaggeration, everything looked exactly as I had packed it in Iowa, one week and 1800 miles earlier. Thank you to everyone at ABF U-Pack Moving. Horrid - Pathetic - Non-Responsible and simple don't care! I had furniture that I purchased before moving and it's banged up with busted legs, scratches so deep on dresser / chest they can't be covered unless I put a sheet / blanket over it. Dryer so caved in it's simply not useable. The best part of ABF - thank you for your understanding but we're not accepting your claim. This service rates up there with one of the worse I'm sure. Wish I could post pictures of the furniture I have to show how bad they really are and how they simply aren't participating in my claim. Incredible!!!”

A Terrible Moving Experience!!! I hired UPack to move my 4-bedroom home from Albuquerque, NM to Tulsa, OK. Their corporate office assured me the drivers were bonded/insured and that my belongings were insured should any damage (unlikely) occur. One of their drivers clearly ran off the highway and the entire 26 foot load was thrown from the front of the trailer to the very back. My antiques, bedroom suites, dishes etc were all broken, trashed, scratched and dented Once UPack's adjuster viewed the extensive damage in person, they denied any responsibility and refused to pay for the damage! The supposed "insurance" included in the contracted price does not cover anything...ie worthless. UPack is a highly unprofessional and dishonest mover. Do NOT entrust them with any of your possessions or you will surely regret it.”

Call the moving companies directly. Upack is horrible. Very poor customer service. They charged us for expedited shipping but after our trailer was picked up they told us that it wouldn't get delivered until a later date. So of course we asked for them to refund the extra shipping charge- they said no that they couldn't. For those going to move I think it's important to understand that upack is a broker. All they do is contact the moving companies and get you booked. You're better off to just call the moving companies directly. We got booked with old dominion. Funny thing is- we saw one of their trucks on the road months ago and we said oh we should call them. But for whatever stupid reason- we still used upack not knowing that they are just a broker. I'll be back to update because we haven't even received our stuff yet. The customer service agent told us to "cross your fingers" on when we get it! Unreal!”

Worked with Upack and they contracted Old Dominion for our move. The move was from Virginia to Alabama at no point did Old Dominion or Upack mention anything about gravel driveways. It came to a complete surprise to us when they said that a gravel driveway would be off roading and they cannot do it. I would understand if it was parking the trailer on gravel or grass, however there is a 40 foot concrete pad at the top of the driveway. Just to elaborate a little more UPS, FedEx, Landstar have had no issues with the drive. There is no reason this should be an issue, howere it should have been communicated at some point that the driveway needs to be paved. It cannot be that my house is the only gravel drive in America.”

Outstanding company and one of the few companies who does an excellent job of treating customers like they would want to be treated. I have used them twice. First time everything was frictionless, no challenges or concerns. It was rather easy. So decided to try them again. Second time wasn’t as smooth. However a company is defined by how they recover from service failures and U-Pack was excellent in this area. Most companies you have to chase them down and solve your own problem. U-Pack did the opposite. They were chasing me down, calling, being very transparent. Meredith, Amber and Joe really wanted to help. All three of them did what few companies do well, which was empathy. Whatever they could do to make this right they did. They kept their brand promise, in a genuine way, and gained both my confidence and trust. I move once a year and have used everyone from full service to do-it yourself. The moving industry is in desperate need of innovation. However I think U-Pack is leading the charge. I trust this company and would highly recommend. They have the full service moving companies beat in so many ways.”
