Before any major work the team supervisor reviewed the scheduling and asked me if I had any questions which I really appreciated. These guys work hard and fast. I HIRED SUMMIT MOVERS IN FT. LAUDERDALE,FL. FOR THE MOVE. I PAYED EXTRA FOR VIP SERVICE WHICH ,MEANT THEIR BEST PACKERS AND EXTRA PACKING MATERIAL. BECAUSE OF POOR PACKING SEVERAL VALUABLE NON REPLACEABLE ANTIQUES WERE DESTROYED. FOUR CARTONS WERE LOST. THE PACKERS WERE UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. DELIVERY WAS FOUR HOURS LATE AND CONTINUED TO MIDNIGHT AS TWO HELPERS LEFT,LEAVING ONE MAN TO UNLOAD THE TRUCK THEY OFFERED TO PAY $102.00 FOR $15,000-$20,000 WORTH OF DAMAGES I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT USING SUMMIT MOVERS.”

I hired Summit to do a move for my mother and they managed to damage a few items in the process. They pretend to care when they deliver the move. We pointed out broken things and they took notes and pictures, then they tell you to start a claim with their insurance company (moving claims.net) which is a third party company. When I called Summit and asked them to send me the pictures and notes they took, they told me that they don't have that information. You will take months going back and fwd with the insurance company, having to prove that the items were damage by the movers. This whole time, Summit is not in this process because they will tell you to deal with the insurance comany. The total estimated amount of damage they caused was close to $1000. I submitted the claim in July 2019 and Feb 2020, the insurance company sends me a settlement letter stating that they will only pay $72. These companies are a joke! DO NOT GO WITH THEM!! save yourself the hassle, do some reserach and choose a better moving company. The burden of proof will be put on you to go through their convoluted insurance process to only be dissapointed in the end. I did not sign the settlement, and I'm currently seeking legal advice. This has become personal to me”

DO NOT USE SUMMIT VAN LINES. I hate to speak negatively about a company on a social site but Summit Van Lines has mishandled my shipment, doctored documents and tried taking advantage of my father who is a senior. On top of that their driver was speaking very badly about Summit Van Lines. He was complaining about how he tried quitting multiple times but that the company keeps offering him more money to stay. While unloading my possesions he broke many of them and of other people's loads because he was frustrated that they were in the way of him getting to my stuff. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I MEANT TO USE NATIONAL VAN LINES BUT STUMBLED ONTO THESE CROOKS BY MISTAKE. These guys do not care about your furniture and possessions. They advertise that they will pack, disassemble and reassemble for you. Their packing is shotty with old blankets that are worn down and not usable. They did disassemble but they refused to reassemble because the driver said he did not disassemble so he cannot reassemble (that was not my problem). Not to mention how many things of mine they lost. Be forewarned that you are placing your stuff in peril if you use SUMMIT VAN LINES. I offered them many opportunities to make it right but they have not. the managers do not help. Carmen Guzman, Guy, Adam Green, Charles... none of them are helpful but instead give you a run around. Kenneth is the only one that was helpful. Not sure how they have such a good rating but I would venture to say that their score may also be doctored by simply omitting bad reviews. i am sure thales same will happen with this one.”

The drivers just dumped and ran saying they were behind on their schedule. Numerous photos of pieces of furniture with drivers holding pieces. I had replacement cost insurance which did't cover anything (? $400 cost ripoff. Money the company just sticks in their pocket). Numerous boxes were lost to be told they would never lose that many boxes (minimum of ten). My assessment was $10,000 not including the loss of my brothers ashes which they showed no remorse. Stay away, don't take the risk as there are other movers.”

Left our baby grand piano sitting in garage in (inclement weather) told us to call someone else to move into house even though they had charged us for moving the piano so had to pay someone else to do their job.
