They took extra care to make sure the hardwood floors did not get marked up or scratched. Nothing was broken. They were friendly and worked hard. They packed our things and moved them. This company deserves a ZERO. This company was hired to move the residents of my building. I have been moved twice by them with no choice of my own. I had items stolen and broken. The movers carelessly packed and handled my items. When they placed my items in my new unit. Both times frozen food was left at the bottom of an 8ft tall stack of my items also was sitting next to a heater on full blast(I was not even there. I didn't turn on the heaters) When I got to the unit not only did the movers just stood there as I struggled to see if my mattress would fit on the Murphy bed in the unit. not even two minutes after that the said "We are out." I was left having to dig through all of my items trying to find thing that would spoil. I have Cerebral Palsy and severe Epilepsy and due to there incompetence I suffered injury's and had multiple grand-mall seizures. I couldn't even get to my furniture to sit down. They damaged over $1,000 dollars worth of my property along with loosing spare bottles of my anti spastics. The employees that moved my items told me to sign the final approval paperwork before I was even moved telling me that my stuff would not make it to my new unit without my signature. I plan on taking legal action for everything that has happen in the year since my first move. I will not let them move me again.”

There is not a rating low enough for this company. DO NOT use them. Their customer service and communication is terrible. Through the entire process, nothing went smoothly. They ask over and over again, "how am I doing?" through survey cards but trust me, this company does not get it! -Promised to provide a house cleaner after move out. The cleaner showed up 2-hours late, kept asking if she was done, and skipped the downstairs! -Poor communication from project coordinator. Guys came to deliver and wouldn't unload the truck because I didn't have a cashiers check. I had previously asked twice how much I owed and they never got back to me. My company was to pay but I had to pay via personal credit card just to get the truck unloaded. -Broken items missing boxes. -500+ tagged items that had to be individually checked off upon delivery. You would think this is a good thing but the process is very clumsy and time consuming. There were tons of small misc. items (a pillow case etc.) that should have been boxed but were individually tagged. When they were done unloading, boxes were missing. We had to go through all 500 items to recount! -When I complain about service, there is no trying to making it better. They fight me on it. Good luck on your move. I am sure it will go better than mine.”

Star Moving ripped me off. They stole one of my antique Chinese rugs and did major damage to some of my furniture. They broke some of my antiques, framed artwork, and other items, then sent a phony "appraiser" out so they wouldn't have to pay for damages. I was never reimbursed for the damage and lost goods. They also used so much paper for packing, it probably cost me double to move, due to the weight of the paper alone.”

Pros: They got us moved. Protected our carpets and in general were careful with our belongings. Cons: Started out by driving one of their trucks across our lawn without asking permission. Must be a disconnect between their sales and the moving crew. I was quoted one price by sales - 2 trucks, 5 men, 1 day. When they showed they had 3 trucks and got done that evening they charged me 45% more than quoted - over $1100 more for a one day move. I hate surprises. We will never use them again. I've already warned multiple people against using them. I've heard this is typical of a lot of movers lately.”
