Stairhopper movers were great - I highly recommend them. I had flexibility with my moving date and was able to choose a date with a discounted rate. They were very accommodating, and able to help me pack kitchen supplies and dishware I hadn't gotten to even though I hadn't warned that I would need help packing (they packed it all safely wrapped in paper, being creative enough to use extra used boxes I had around rather than their boxes to reduce the cost), and taking a couch I didn't think they would manage by taking off the legs and arms and reattaching at the new place. The movers were also bilingual (could speak Spanish as well). I appreciate that they sent 3 people, rather than just two to handle my small two bedroom as another moving company had proposed - they were able to finish in exactly 3 hours. One thing to note is that I think you need to specifically ask if you want advance notice half an hour before they come - I thought one of the agency reps had made that request for me, but I did not get a call until they arrived. Perhaps if there's an option for movers to trigger a text when they're on their way that would help with planning (my arrival window was 3 hours and I was trying to get extra boxes while I had time), but as long as you're prepared and on site day of it shouldn't be a big deal. Very professional and respectful - would use again.”

I was able to book them with one week’s notice on an unexpected move. They show availability online and call right away to confirm. They sent a friendly, hard working crew. The move took twice as long as estimated (I had far more stuff than anticipated) and they were cheerful and worked hard the whole time, never complaining even though they’d already done a move that morning, making for probably a 12 hour day. They were very careful with all items - wrapping all furniture and fragile things. They also dealt with 2 sets of extremely narrow stairs and there’s not a scratch to be found anywhere. They made sure while packing up and dropping off that things were done properly and did 2 walkthroughs with me. They also rebuilt my furniture and bed (that was hugely appreciated!).
