I would highly recommend this moving company as the entire experience was easy and stress-free from booking my move through completing the move. The owner Mike was very up front and transparent about estimated cost and length of time needed. He was detail-oriented by taking a look at my current apartment building first to get an idea of the time and number of people needed to do the move (former building is over a century old with no elevator). Mike was also easy to communicate with by calling or texting answers to my questions and confirming details prior to the move. On moving day the three movers (The owner Mike, and Trevor and David) had a process in place and were systematic in putting all boxes into the truck, followed by furniture, which allowed for an easy unload at my new apartment. They were very careful to cover all furniture and were very gentle with my belongings. During the move they were extremely friendly and personable and made the whole move enjoyable. My building was so impressed with them that the management even grabbed their information. A major plus was a discounted cost for cash payment. Even before the discount though, they were more affordable than all the other costs I was quoted by competing moving companies, and they cost less to have three movers and truck than other companies cost for two movers and a truck. On 11/3/21 I filled out their online form requesting a move date for 2 movers only (no truck) on 11/20/21. I rcvd. an email on the same day (11/3/21) saying "AFTER SPEAKING WITH US ON THE PHONE and confirming the move date...pay booking fee of $26.04 including paypal fee)". I WILL NOT USE PAYPAL, FOR ANYTHING and nobody called to speak with me. I have tried to call them numerous times but nobody answers, and their mailbox is full. I have sent many texts to which nobody responds. This company has never called me, so I did not pay the booking fee bcuz it says "AFTER SPEAKING WITH US ON THE PHONE...", but they have never called! Now, here I am today,11/20/21, and I have no idea if anyone is going to show up! This has left me in a very bad place, and I DO NOT appreciate the manner in which they conduct business!”

If you're moving into town or just across town, this is your moving company. These guys are truly awesome, hard working, great 'can-do' attitudes and very professional. They were on time and everything went smoothly. Honestly, if you're well prepared and have everything packed and ready to go it makes everything easier. We had some very heavy solid wood furniture that had to go up a small staircase and they never once complained or said anything negative. They even hoisted one large piece over the rail to get it upstairs. Mike was very professional also as I set up the appointment and also when I called to confirm our appointment. great packers and movers Packing crew, service and rates were great. Only caveat is that I had to get my own boxes but it was worth it to get their rates and saved some money by buying my own boxes, tape, packing paper, etc. They did provide wardrobe boxes, moving blankets and dollies which was very helpful. Moving crew was great as well and helped packing up all the stuff that we needed overnight (toiletries, linens, etc.). We made two trips due to all the stuff that we had and given that we were only moving a couple of blocks away. I had just had my carpets cleaned in my new house and they were very accomodating to take their shoes off and have an alternating inside and outside crew. They helped make moving a much more enjoyable experience and I would definitely use then again and recommend them.”

Two guys and one truck moved our 1200 sq ft apt into our 1800 sq ft house in just under 5.5 hours. John was an experienced mover, who knew exactly the right angles needed to maneuver our tight corridors and stairwells. He was also conscientious about noticing any damage and checking to make sure it was like that before (it was). Between the Yelp coupon and social media deal, it was totally worth it! The crew who moved us were awesome! We had a 3 person team b/c we have a really heavy bed frame, but two of them were able to carry it, which was shocking. They were super quick, hard working, handled everything carefully (no broken pieces so far!) and stayed on-task. We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor and the three of them were able to clear it in less than an hour and unpack within 30ish min. Overall, including travel from Lynnwood to Central Seattle, the job took just over 2 hours. We had quite a few issues with scheduling, wrong info and not hearing back, but they were addressed by the owner, Mike, immediately after I posted them here. While the experience was initially frustrating (except for the actual move), I really appreciated that Mike took complete responsibility and resolved my issue (very quickly, I might add). I know that sometimes things don't go the way they are supposed to, but I think you can tell a lot about a company based on how they resolve their mistakes and based on my experience, this is a really good company that cares about their customers as well as making sure that their customers have good experiences. I would recommend them!”

This review is so overdue, I should have written this months ago. I have moved *many* times in my life, have lived on both coasts, 5 states, 2 countries, many neighborhoods. These guys were professional, on time, quick, pleasant guys who actually gave a hoot about my furniture and my house. HIGHLY recommend. After my last Seattle move, with another 5 star company, we were unsure about what to expect. Our last move had 3 tornadoes come through our house, that wanted so badly to impress us with their speed, that they ruined everything in their paths. Seattle Select Moving was swift, but they also took care with everything, not a single item was damaged. These guys came recommended to me from a girlfriend who moved in Mercer Island. They are efficient and fast movers especially when you are on a budget for the moving cost. The team is fun to work with especially with their sense of humor and keep a fun vibe as they work to get our stuff moved. They took great care of our stuff and made sure everything was properly secure. This second time I got Curtis and Story who managed to move stuff out of a 900+ sq ft home in less than 4 hours...and found time to put our king size bed together during delivery. 1) Super easy to schedule. I even wanted to compare rates with other companies so I was a little hesitant at first. The person I spoke with pencilled me in anyways and just said to get back to them. They seemed really flexible! 2) My appt was at 8 AM, they called me at about 815 and said they were leaving their warehouse. A little late, but it didn't bother me. The start billing when they leave their warehouse to the time they return. 3) With every move, I expect a little damage to furniture; especially since my new place was a tight squeeze. I saw only 2 or 3 dings on all of my furniture total. Nothing too crazy at all, they handled my furniture with care. 4) Extremely hard working. Curtis and Chris were moving fast and never let up! My job lasted ~ 5 hours, I was impressed. 5) unfortunately my couch didn't make it into my new place because it was too big to fit through a door way. They offered to take it to their warehouse for storage but my homeowner was kind enough to make room. However, I'm super grateful for the option. Also, after they had left for the day, I realized I might be better off having it wrapped to protect it during storage... They came back and wrapped it and didn't charge me extra! So absolutely I owe them a great review for above and beyond service! All in all, it was a great experience and I'm super grateful for their hard work and follow through. The movers did not show up an hour and a half past our scheduled moving time, and nobody from the moving company contacted us to let us know what was going on. We had to call the company seven times before someone actually picked up. The lady over the phone said that the movers were still stuck in another job, and she wasn't sure when they would be able to come. So we asked if we could have the movers phone number to contact them directly, the lady said that she couldn't give that to us because that's private information. So we waited another half hour and then the owner called us, sounding mad at us for whatever reason, saying the movers were late because the previous customer had a garage sale, and that they couldn't come till 7pm(our appointment was at 1:30pm). We lived in an apartment building and were moving into another apartment building, we couldn't just move anytime we want because we had to reserve freight elevators and be considerate of our neighbors. So we ended up not using their service and slept on camping mat that night because everything was packed up. Not sure how this company maintains a 5 Star yelp review.”

I dropped the ball a bit and I didn't reserve room for the truck to unload right in front of the apartment building; which meant they had to unload from the turn lane (and cross the street). I was impressed that they rolled with the punches! In addition, I told them that it was important for me to not get my cloth headboard and mattresses dirty during the move and they definitely took that into consideration. ***I would be very wary of using this company*** I could not be more displeased with Seattle Select Moving. They helped me do a move a few months ago and it did not go well at all. When the gentleman came out to give me an estimate he assured me they could get the move done in 3 hours. I was told that Washing state law states that if they can't get it done in the time outlined in the agreement, the most they could charge me was an additional 25%. I told him that I did not think they would be able to get it done in such a short time, but he again reassured me that it would not be an issue. Come moving day, three hours was not enough. The guys worked an extra hour or so, then informed me they had to leave. That left me to finish the move by myself over the next 5 days. They of course charged me for the extra time, but left exactly when they would have been working for free. Almost all of my bigger furniture was damaged in the move. From scratches in my wood bedroom furniture to a large scuff on my leather sofa to a deep scratch in my glass table top. When they were rushing to get the stuff off their truck I went down to help. I was shocked to see that the majority of my furniture was not wrapped in blankets. Furniture was just piled on top of other furniture. When I contacted Mike the "boss" he informed me that because I opted out of the insurance, I was only able to claim pennies on the dollar for my damaged furniture. When the guy that did the estimate was going over the contract with me, he told me that I didn't need their insurance that they never have any complaints about damaged furniture and when they do, they just pay out of pocket for the damage, because they don't want their reputation to be ruined. ALWAYS PAY FOR THE INSURANCE - I was told later that movers don't want claims on their insurance because their rates go up just like auto insurance. So they do what they can to get you not to get the insurance they are obligated to offer you. When I contacted Mike the owner about the damage I told him I wanted the glass table top replaced. He of course told me the same story the estimator told me. Pennies on the dollar yada yada, BUT that he would be happy to help me out. When I sent him the receipt for the glass table top that was less than a year old, Mike told me it was too much money for him to pay and then insisted that he could get it fixed. Mike came by and picked up the glass and told me he had a guy that could fix it. Two weeks later I called for an update and Mike informed me that it could not be fixed. He arranged to have the glass top retuned to my house. When it arrived it was even more scratched and had a big chip in a corner. I was furious. I called Mike and told him something needed to be done. He told me he would check into it and get back to me. That was 5 weeks ago. I have called, I have texted and I cannot get a response from him. These guys really should be avoided.”
