I never thought moving (especially in NYC) could be such a pleasure! These guys took care of everything. Walter and his crew (Cristian, Omes, Jose H., Jose S., Juan H., Mohamed) were expert packers and put my mind at ease about it all. They took every care possible to make sure I was happy and all my things were well secured. Also - they were so fast! The whole thing was done hours before I expected. Before it all went down, they sent Ruth to talk with me, take an inventory, and give me an estimate. We were in touch for weeks before the move with any changes and issues. I had to reschedule last minute bc of a mixup with the building and my broker, and they were generous enough to take care of it with so much understanding. I highly recommend them!

Moving across the country is one of the most annoying things anyone can do. Fortunately there's Roadway. Their team was incredibly helpful every step of the way. Big shout-out to Tony who helped coordinate everything, including when we had to change pickup dates and addresses, and fighting to get me the price I wanted, and another big shout-out to Sharline who followed up with me after the move and processed a claim for reimbursement when our TV stand arrived a little dinged up. All of our stuff, except for that TV stand, arrived in perfect condition. The movers who picked up our stuff in Jersey City were very careful to make sure everything was wrapped up and properly secured. The movers who were driving across the country were great with providing updates as to where they were and when they were planning to arrive. All in all it was a great experience, and I would absolutely use them again without hesitation.

I cannot say enough good words about this gang of movers. Avi Ohana was the lead we were assigned, he came, took the inventory gave a quote. We had to sell our place and purchase the new one within a day of each other, and the move was quoted and dated/timed as such. Then reality hit: the buyers changed the date, the sellers changed their date everything changed and Avi accommodated it all. Made changes on the quote, flexed the timeline, no fees, no penalties - we did our part and stayed communicative and Avi was beyond responsive. He emailed, called, made sure all was well. We signed up for "wrapping and boxing" package as well and that was the best decision ever. The crew called the day before, confirmed the appointment. They called when they were 5 minutes away. They were courteous, professional, hard working and knew what they were doing. After the walk through of "this goes, this goes, this stays" it took them 2 hours to box a 1,400 sq/ft 2 + 2. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room, books (I have a lot of books) TV, dining table, kitchen table... I mean these guys were brilliant. Everything packed neatly and safely. No amount of packing paper and packaging tape was spared. Their boxes are strong and well made. The "wardrobe boxes" are awesome. They labeled everything correctly. I mean, it was a delight watching these guys work. I got them a box of joe and a dozen donuts as a "people, please take a break" threat. They kept our stuff in the truck as long as we needed and they showed up at 4 PM upon our request to deliver them. We closed at 3PM, they started moving stuff in at 4 PM and they were done by 7 PM!!! Nothing broken, nothing lost, no boxes damaged, it was an immaculate job. I am serious when I say "I don't have enough good words about this gang of movers." Another box of joe and donuts to prevent from over-heating and that was it. Keywords: safe, clean, honest, trustworthy, no surprise charges, no surprises, hard working, fun, responsive... Everything that is the exact opposite of a "bad moving experience" is these peoples M.O. And during both moves the customer service called and asked how the team was doing, whether they were late or not, on time or not. I felt so bad talking to the customer service while they were working so I told the CS rep to stop calling me because we were busy working on the move and she was disrupting the rhythm!!! Hire these people. You won't be sorry. PS: Tip them well, they deserve it. PS: Get Avi - I don't know anybody else there 🙂

Wife & I recently moved to Dallas, TX from our Upper East side 1BR apartment. After talking to several other moving companies that show up when you search on yelp, we were so glad we went ahead with Roadway. Beth our on-site consultant was honest, transparent and knew what she was doing. Despite being a bit more "premium" priced, we were so glad we went these guys. Our stuff came much earlier during the promised window which was an added bonus and didn't cost us anything extra. Also nothing was broken during and after the move and the staff were so helpful In helping us get furniture reassembled etc. Moving is a stressful experience and for us finding a trustworthy mover was extremely important, I'm glad we went with Roadway Moving !

Maybe another update is too much, but I just wanted to document the move. Francisco and the team came in the day prior to pack most of the things. On the day of, they contacted me sharp at 8am and came up half an hour later to start the actual move. It did take them awhile to go from Dumbo to UWS, left the old apartment around 11am and didn't show up at the new apartment till 2pm. I get that they ate lunch somewhere and there were traffic, but I would've appreciated a little heads up because I reserved the freight elevator from 12-4pm per their instruction, so I was a little worried they couldn't finish before the elevator time. Anyways, other than that, everything went smoothly. Nothing broken nothing missing. They dissembled and assembled the couch and bed, and were even able to haul my two IKEA dressers in two complete pieces from the old apartment to the new apartment. We all know how flimsy IKEA furniture can be, so I told them if those two were damaged, no worries. I was really surprised to see the dressers standing in our new apartment in good condition so kudos to them. Hopefully we won't move any time soon, but when we do I will reach out again.

Today is Thursday and I was scheduled to move this coming Saturday. The movers were going to come on Friday (the day before the move) to pack up the kitchen and other breakables. Unfortunately, my husband had a work emergency which has resulted in a delay to our move. I called Roadway to reschedule and Ben was really understanding and accommodating. He switched my move with no problem. He suggested we still have the guys come pack up the breakables (minus the kitchen) on our previously scheduled day (tomorrow) this way we could get some things out of the way prior the new move date. I am really impressed with their customer service to date. I called them about scheduling the move less than 2 weeks prior to our move date, they came over to do an in-home estimate right away, they delivered the boxes the afternoon of the day I hired them, and in the last few days I have called about our inventory list and COIs and they have been very helpful. To date, they have been excellent so I am giving them 5 stars but I will reserve my final judgement and update my review once the move actually takes place.

From start to finish- Roadway made the process of moving on such short notice- completely stress-free. Their hands-on experience and customer service is unparalleled. While a bit more expensive than I expected, it was worth it in the long run. Within hours of deciding on a new apartment, I contacted one of the customer support service members to set up a consult, filled out some information online and within the following week, one of their senior relocation consultants, Daniel Abehssera, came out to our apartment to assess the items for our move. He couldn't have been more professional. And it was a breeze! In a week or so, we began our move. The formen crew (the incredible trio of Jose Abaul, Orlando Triaza, and Robert Rodriguez) arrived on-time around 9am that morning and immediately began assessing the items and starting to take boxes down to the truck. We had everything packed up and ready to go so all they needed was to do some heavy lifting of furniture and, let's not forget, my 4x3 recording booth. They assisted us in dissembling it. The whole process was organized and flawless. During the move I had to leave for work in the city and I was totally confident they were handling it. When I arrived home to our new apartment around 3pm- they were just wrapping up and on their way. The nicest guys and the best crew. Hope

Just do it. Just book them for your move. They're super serious when they say "stress-free" moving experience. Though serious about what they do, they are super friendly, organized, efficient and professional. Never seen a team work so effectively and effortlessly with each other. They are more expensive than most carriers, but you know the saying "you get what you pay for." 2 BR move, 70 boxes (I packed), kitchen pack (20 boxes they packed); in and out in 5 hrs start to finish (a little over 4 hrs of actual "moving" and then 45 min for lunch that I provided. That's loading (+ packing the kitchen and disassembling some furniture) and unloading (+ reassembling some furniture) in essentially 4 hrs, people! (Helps to move 3 blocks away though) Our movers were Diego and his team. Now, it's time to crash as I'm exhausted!!! (Moving sucks, but it sucks a ton less after this experience. Would definitely hire again!)

★★★★★
Very willing to provide the best service possible. We moved from Philly to Long Island, and apart from a cheap steam mop which somehow disappeared, everything was delivered with no issues whatsoever. The moving team, Walter, Juan, Jose, and Antonio did a stellar job even without anyone being present for the final stage of pick up. They showed up the next day almost on time, and diligently unpacked and reassembled all the furniture. A word of advice, just opt for the white glove option if you are moving anything bigger than a one bedroom. We have so much stuff that we nearly bought the difference in boxes from U Haul. All in all, very satisfied, despite they didn't come through with their last promise of trying to figure out to that pesky steam mop.

As I sit here on my sofa thinking about the 4 wardrobe boxes, 25 medium to large to extra-large boxes, queen-sized bed, 2 TVs and some other furniture that were all moved today from a third floor Harlem walk-up in under 3 hours - I am amazed, relieved, and ecstatic with the service that was provided by George and his team. Adrian kept trying to re-assure me everything would be fine but I'll admit, at times things seemed a bit disjointed. Here are a few takeaways for improvement: 1. Fix the booking system, after receiving a revised contract it changed my move from a one day move to two which was not accurate and placed me in a panic. 2. When I first submitted an online request for a quote a week went by and I had to call to follow-up. I almost forgot I was waiting for a response. 3. I didn't receive a confirmation call 24-48 hrs before my move which made me anxious as I was told I would be getting a call. I'll admit that I might have been on edge after reading the reviews for other moving companies, I was scared... All in all, I paid a little more to contract Roadway Moving but at the end of the day, I had a peace of mind. My quote was my quote! The team was punctual ( they called me 15 mins early to let me know they were there), professional and extremely cordial. Lastly, Roadway Mgmt, I commend you for taking the time to respond to all the reviews. It is impressive to see that not only do you respond to the good but you also addressed the bad. When I would read the reviews for other moving companies and when the review wasn't favorable no one responded. No one looked to address their concerns or tried to rectify the situation & when you are looking for a company that's not a good sign.

For the second time in four years I moved within NYC and without a second thought, I called Roadway to set up a date. Everything you'd want. Courteous service, prompt appointment to give an estimate and even a degree of flexibility as moving day approached. Roadway communicates with building management on either side of the move too and takes that worry off your mind. I had a pleasure working with Bayo, Abdul and Salamaka. They couldn't have been nicer and took great care of our belongings. I'll be using them again if a move is in our future. Thanks!

After posting the below review, I was contacted by a Roadway rep and the company's owner/founder. We've spoken and discussed our experience, which was A+ overall, and the owner (Ross) apologized for the difficult communication process we experienced and vowed to dig deeper to avoid this issue for future clients. Ross is very committed to making this company the best there is, and it shows in many ways. We would use Roadway again if we were in need of movers - their employees are happy (check Glassdoor), their skills and products are unparalleled, and their service will continue to improve. It's also rare to move long-distance and have one company handle every aspect, which truly does pay off in the end. We hired Roadway for our cross country move and they seemed fantastic. We had a large moving budget to work with and opted for them to wrap and pack everything for the move. Their reputation was too hard to pass up and winding down life before a move is hectic. The experience was generally great - the walkthrough was quick, arrangements were easy, and the moving crew was early. We even had to make some late adjustments to the pickup date and they were accommodating. Their packing skills are unreal! The problem comes with the outcome of the move. We are missing some items, even though "everything" was scanned at our destination. Reaching out to Roadway to discuss this was not productive. Several voicemails were left over a generous amount of time and they were not returned. When I finally called and mentioned to the rep that it had been several weeks of failed attempts, I was immediately connected with someone. A quick email convo followed that call and then nothing, again. Somehow we're missing several items - it seems a box assembled at the end was not labeled or scanned. Luckily it isn't anything major, mostly items that can be replaced. No moving experience seems to be perfect, and nothing seems broken or mishandled. Overall we are very happy and could not imagine another company doing a better job on our cross-country move. Do yourself a favor and stop looking around - Roadway is the best company out there. All those brokerages are selling your job to the lowest bidders.

Roadway moved our family from Hell's Kitchen to Long Island City in December 2018, and -- from start to finish -- it was one of the best moving experiences I've ever had (I'm a military brat, so I've moved a lot). Avi Ohana, their Onsite Relocation Consultant, was professional, punctual and accurate with the flat rate quoted, the manpower required and the job timing estimated. The crew was friendly and meticulous with their care of our items. The reassembly of our furniture upon arrival at our new home was prompt and precise. We recently relocated again -- within Long Island City -- and we went with another company who provided us with a much lower quote this go-around. Upon receipt of our decision, Avi, of course, was the epitome of professionalism and grace. "I am so sorry to hear that! But I understand where you are coming from, and I certainly wish you a successful move and lots of joy and happiness in your new place," he wrote in response. He also offered his "pro tips." Go over my list and their list and make sure it's apple-to-apple, so you have no surprises, he said. Read the company's bad reviews, not the good ones; it will tell you if there is a pattern that you may or may not tolerate during the move, he said. Well, you get what you pay for, and I would name-drop in anger, but the company we used recently reached out to rectify all the grievances from our last move. Pending the outcome of their efforts to make good, there may be no reason to blast them further here. If you want to be well taken care of -- from start to finish -- request Avi Ohana when you contact Roadway for your next move. Knowing what we know now, his quote for our last move was more than fair (even with our initial hopes to significantly cut costs).

I just used them for a move from nyc- New Mexico. I was very nervous. The movers on both ends were very professional. They took very good care of my furniture. Everything arrived perfectly. I highly recommend this company. And please tip well they work really hard.

★★★★★
Roadway Moving is amazing and highly recommended! Usually when I move to a new apartment, I rent out a U-Haul or my friends will help me move things in their cars/vans; it's a crap ton of heavy lifting. This year I was pressed for time because I only had 2 weeks to move, work was hectic, and my friends were busy - timing was not in my favor. I researched various moving companies and the thing that stood out most about Roadway was the fact that they also disassemble AND reassemble your furniture! While I love IKEA and those puzzle furniture pieces, I was not having it this year. I filled out a form that listed all types of furniture and various household items and sent it over to Milos, the rep who reached out to me, who then provided a quote based on what I checked off. Type of living accommodations, start and end location/distance (in my case, 1 bedroom, 1 bath, and Queens to Manhattan) was also factored in, as well as whether the building is a walk-up or has a freight elevator. Through the entire process, my rep was always in communication with me, and I never felt pressured or rushed. I asked so many questions since this was my first time using a moving service of any kind and he answered everything in a friendly manner. He assured me that I would be taken care of and he was absolutely right. Day of the move, I literally did nothing. The movers were very efficient, professional and organized. They worked as a team and clearly loved their job; we had a lot of witty banter going on. They wrapped some items in moving blankets, plastic wrapped other items, packed my clothes straight from the closet into wardrobe boxes, and took apart my bed frame with storage, loaded everything into their truck and when everything was in, they headed towards the new apartment. I Uber'd and got there right before they did. They then proceeded to load everything out and put my couch and bed frame back together. The guys even gave me their thoughts on how to arrange things into my smaller *cries* apartment. Total time took about 5 hours; cost was a little over $1000, including tip, which they definitely deserve (I didn't have that many large/heavy items and had already packed some boxes of my my own). Admittedly, Roadway is on the expensive side, but it was so worth it for not having to do anything strenuous, nor having to put furniture back together after a long day moving. The day was completely stress-free... until I ran out of closet space, but that is another story. I will be using Roadway again in the future!

★★★★★
Roadway did the move to our new Co-Op, and were very happy with how everything turned out. We initially spoke to Jose by phone who was comprehensive and got back to us quickly with a quote. We opted to do packing and moving given that the price point was good; terms/conditions were good, and there was no mad dash to sign contracts even thoguh our move date was just a week away. Ralphie and his team (William and Raldy) did our move and they were awesome. They worked fast, were courteous, and consulted us whenever they had questions. We had a lot of shit, so the pack took 4 hours. After a quick lunch break, the move itself took maybe another 2 hours (only 7 blocks up). They took great care of our items and set everything up just how we wanted it. Couldn't have asked for a better experience overall.

Had to move twice in a month and both times we used Roadway Moving. I can not stop gushing about this business. They made both my moves totally seamless. I could not believe how easy it could be to move before I used roadway movers. They even bought their own boxes and packing materials. On the first move, the drivers arrived nice and early. We spent 15 minutes going over the details of the move then I sat on the couch and Netflixed. Two hours and two NCIS episodes later the movers had finished packing almost everything (moved to their van) and it was time to move the couch. At this point I left to let them into my new appointment. At the new place sane deal- the movers unpacked all my stiff while I sat on the couch again. Overall we were done by the afternoon and I got to spend my evening just enjoying my apartment. Second move was also extremely good. Same deal couch, Netflix, pack, unpack etc. If I ever have to move again I definitely am not doing it without Roadway Movers.

★★★★★
I just completed my move yesterday and everything was EXCELLENT. I cannot express how happy I am with all aspects of the process. I will start by saying I did a ton of research before selecting my movers. Roadway had the most transparent pricing and best customer service. I had about 50 questions all of which my sales rep, Tony, helped me with. I opted for the full move with packing service (highly recommend). The day of my move I literally did nothing and just sat there while 3 men efficiently and carefully packed every single item in my 1 bedroom NYC apartment. Fast forward to the destination -- all my stuff arrived undamaged. The team made sure I was happy with the location of items, opened boxes, and even hung up my clothes. I am not an easy client to deal with as I am extremely picky and attentive to detail but roadway was exceptional and I am so happy.

★★★★★
The Roadway Movers team was efficient and professional. Avi came over to give an estimate for the move and the initial price they gave me was what I was charged! No hidden fees! It was very reasonable, especially since only Roadway staff will be handling my boxes, and they don't outsource the move to other trucks. I must have contacted at least 10 other businesses for quotes, and Roadway brought the most value. They also are very modern! They also have a different barcode and number for every box, so I know what items are where! Great checklist system and helpful labeling. Roadway Movers even gave me quick check-in phone calls, before, during and after the process which is reassuring. The team: Roman, Diego and Julio arrived early. They were all very friendly, easy to talk with, polite and made me feel comfortable. Which is great, because when I know the whole place will be in boxes soon, there's that anxiety and "omg what if I don't get it all done?!" feeling... and with them I was in great hands! Everyone was respectful of my time and belongings. Diego handled my room and noticed everything that needed to be done. He spotted an extra cell phone charger that he thought would be good to take with me instead of have it packed up, and I'm sure my phone will thank him for that soon! Roman made sure any of the nails still in the walls from the pictures I had hanging were taken down, and the home is in beautiful conditon after the move!

Marius called us up the day off to let us know he's on his way and gave us an estimated time of arrival. As we all know, moving can be very stressful so having someone call you to let you know that they are on their way is a big help. Upon arrival he went over the plan, very professionally, which was very calming on this stressful day. After going over everything, he and his friendly team packed up my apartment in no time, I mean these guys know how to move fast and taking care of the delicate things doing so. Obviously not their first move! After a short drive to our new apartment the unloading began. It all went smooth and nothing got damaged as the crew took great precautions bringing all the stuff into my new home. Thank you Roadway Moving for being a part of a new chapter in my life. You made the whole moving experience so much better!

Avi came to our apartment in NYC to give us an estimate. After researching many different long-distance moving companies, I decided to go with Roadway, although pricier due to their unbelievable reviews and feedback I was given. Avi was straightforward with me comparing prices to see what I was getting and assured me I would not go wrong when choosing Roadway. It was worth EVERY penny. When Jose and his team came in NYC to pack me up, I sat on the couch, literally. They handled my building, moving everything from my apartment to the truck. I did not have to lift a finger. They numbered, scanned, and tracked every item, which I was then emailed upon leaving, and reaching the storage unit. My furniture was in storage for 3 months, due to transition time moving states. I did not have to worry. They handled everything, including changing credit cards on file multiple times due to fraud. They were responsive, communicative, and helped in every way. For our delivery, I was initially given a 17 day window, due to the distance down to Florida. I was then called back, stating it would be a 12 day window. I got an email when it was loaded onto the truck and en route, before the delivery window even started. Julian - was amazing. He called me every step of the way, as they made progress to Florida. They even arrived a day EARLY. They came to my building on time, unloaded everything, put it all together, and cleaned up! I could have not have been more impressed with Roadway from start to finish. I again, got to check every item by number to make sure I received everything, and nothing was missing or broken. Everything was perfect! I had them pack up my valuables, as I am a very nervous person and wasn't sure I should do it. Not one thing was broken, including my china, crystal wine glasses, everything.... I was amazed at how well it was done, handled, and delivered. Roadway - THANK YOU for the best customer service and moving job. I am so beyond pleased and want to thank you all for helping a stressful move feel much easier!!

I paid for packing and moving services and am very happy with the service I received. First, I do want to say that when I had initially reached out to the company, my contact was Ana, but when I called or emailed questions and to follow up, I never received a response from her. When I called the customer service main line, however, I was set up with a new contact person, Joe, who was very helpful and responsive any time I called. I also appreciated that they reached out a few days before the move to confirm everything with me, which I would've wanted to do if they hadn't. It's these little details that count a lot with me. Regarding the day of the move, my main contact was Walter. He helped me make a move from Brooklyn to Manhattan. They packed up all my things for me as promised (I basically didn't do anything and felt super awkward about it), and did so very efficiently. Walter was also very friendly and thoughtful. Due to the pandemic, he had brought hand sanitizer and masks for me. Upon arriving, they were again very efficient at getting my things where they needed to be. Although I hadn't paid for any disassembling, reassembling, or unpacking services, they were also kind enough to insist they help me put my bed frame back together. This was such a help to me as it would've taken 3x the amount of time doing this completely alone. Thanks for taking a lot of the stress of moving off my shoulders. Will definitely call up Roadway again for any moves I have in the future.
