They went out of their way to make sure the very simple move took more hours than necessary. The gentleman who provided the estimate was very friendly and assured me the job would be done in the minimum time. Then the day before the move a different man started advocating adding a third person and telling me it was a BIG job. They charge for transit time, but again up front i was told that would be an hour and 10 minutes. that changed also. The crew parked as far away from the house as they could so they had to carry the furniture further. And they slowly and laboriously wrapped everything in plastic. Then after it was all done and we'd paid them, the office called and said the crew hadn't charged enough for transit time so she just wanted to let me know that she was adding $57 to the bill.

I had Joel and Calvin help me move from my one bedroom apartment to an ABF trailer so I can have my things shipped to me. I was quoted for 4 hours and they finished in about 3.5 hours. They were very quick and professional and helped me pack up a few things that I hadn't had a chance to do yet. They also saved me money by making the space I used in the truck as small as possible! I was quoted for 10 feet and they fit my stuff into 6 feet total. Saving me about $150 in shipping costs. Even booking the appointment was a good experience because I had tons of questions and they had an answer for everything. Very honest company and I would definitely recommend.

I chose Redefyne due to recommendations. I thought a move only 10 miles away would have no headaches. The two young men were very nice & efficient loading the truck. I asked the one taking the king size bed apart if he would remember how to put it back to which he assured me he did. The moving into the new house started fine until I heard a loud bang on the wall. I didn't think anything at first until I saw a chip in it. I told both of them that they damaged the wall to which they of course denied. I then told them I just had the inspector comb through the house prior to the close and he would've caught this. I then saw a chunk of foam missing from the side of the screen door. This seals the space between screen and front door from elements and small insects. I nervously waited for him to put the bed together. I told him I have the instructions but he said he didn't need it. He had many leftover pieces at the end and told me he didn't know how to use these. My wife later that night also caught that the bed was reassembled incorrectly. One of the legs was installed at the footboard where you can see it. It's supposed to be installed in the middle so it can be hidden. I initiated a claim on September 11 and Randy Chong said the law allows them 30 days to respond. I emailed her two days ago and they still haven't responded. I will now report them to the Better Business Bureau and the Department of Transportation. I know that the moving industry is notorious for horrible customer service but I didn't think Redefyne was in this category, but I guess I'm wrong. This is the second consecutive bad experience I have with a moving company. Unless you want to take the time to sue them, just expect damages and more importantly silence on their end when you file a claim!

I was looking for long-distance movers for my move from Portland to San Francisco. I contacted the top 5 movers on Yelp for the Portland area, and 3 of them couldn't do long-distance, but recommended Redefyne. You know that's a good sign! Aaron the owner came over and did a full review of our house. He detailed everything that would be provided in the quote and was very thorough. We had 2 people packing everything, then 2 people loading the truck the next day. I wasn't there for this but my wife said they were good. The best part was the unloading though. Austin and another mover drove from Portland to San Francisco, and they managed to unload the truck in 2 locations (going from a house to an apartment we had to store things at another location!). Our apartment was complex as the movers had to go through a parking garage, to an elevator, through a hallway, into our apartment. They did a great job, were very nice & efficient, and they were very cautious from beginning to end. We didn't get any damage other than a couple of scratches on a coffee table, that probably happened during the load (they are minimal scratches). We had a lot of music instruments, antiques, electronics, baby furniture, and everything was in the same state than before we moved! After the move the total was a little more than expected, so I worked with Sarah to understand the differences, and she was able to refund me the part that we both agreed was unusual. Overall an amazing experience with Redefyne, from the owner, to the packers, loaders, unloaders, and the CFO. I will definitely recommend them to any of my friends that are planning to move!

This stellar review is long overdue. This company helped us move our 3 bedroom home, part of which was in storage. Our budget was 4 to 6 hours. They sent two guys (Mike and __?___) who hustled from minute one. They wrapped furniture in cellophane & moved/packed it in the truck w/efficieny and care. We bogarted their lunch en route by providing sandwiches upon arrival at the new place. While one scarfed down a sandwich, the other would continue moving items; then they would switch. These guys were fantastic and they worked really hard to get our move done in time. The quote was accurate and the price was reasonable($575). Granted, we had everything boxed up and ready to go. We also had family who helped pitch in. Bottom line: They were honest about service & price. They got the job done in time. We were happy.

DO NOT USE!! We have a Big Green Egg grill (ceramic and costs over $1000) which they dropped and shattered, totally destroying it. My husband spoke at length with the man providing the estimate prior to the move; he assured us that they can handle it and recommended opting for the lower costing moving insurance. As a consumer who does not have expertise in moving, we went with his recommendation. Upon true Egg being shattered, we called the office immediately and only got a call back during business hours, from Sara who said she was the owner. She BLAMED my husband MULTIPLE times for opting for the lower insurance and wiped her hands of it. They're only going to cover $.63/lb -covering a fraction of the cost. This is after we spoke to the actual moving team on moving day many many many times about our concerns about the fragility and weight of the Egg, offered suggestions to them, and offered to move it ourselves. Every time they assured us they could handle it. Yes they were apologetic and also hustled for the most part during the move, but if they had any concern about moving it they could have said something to us. The movers also forgot /took the screws to our bed frames so they can't be put together properly, dropped boxes off their dolly while moving into our house, and the company didn't provide us wardrobe boxes we requested at the time of scheduling. Huge inconvenience. Sara was rude, defensive, and blamed the customer over their clear negligence. Unbelievable business practices.

Stunned by the ineptness and carelessness. I used this business two other times and my colleagues used them as well. Therefore, I had no reason to expect anything less than the quality service I had received in the past I was quoted no more than 5 hours at $146.20 ph for a max total of $735.80. They took over seven hours and I was charged over $1,000. There were two men who were fairly incompetent at their job. They took breaks, complained about the job, threatened to call in sick the next day for being overworked, slipped and fell damaging five pieces of furniture and one was aggressive and confrontational about what he had done to my furniture and had the audacity to dismiss my complaints of damage by saying it was no big deal, insurance would cover it. I began sending complaints to Redefyne as the move was happening. From that, they had all of my contact information but claimed to have written down the wrong information on my order for services. I received no response until I posted a negative review on Yelp. At which time, I was extorted to take my review down by offering me a $ reimbursement that turned out to be less than $100, and a link to filing an insurance claim. I assumed at this point I was viewed as a "valued customer" and that my issues would be expedited. WRONG. I did get a $78 reimbursement, which should have been more than $500 based on their original quote and because of the crap service I received. My move was September 15, and I have still, as of December 10th, not heard anything from the insurance company and no follow up from Redefyne. They damaged my bedroom set-- dresser, chest and bed frame and my book shelves, and have done NOTHING about it. I have unusable/damaged furniture in my new place, just waiting for the insurance company to get in touch. THREE MONTHS HAS PASSED. I will never use this moving company again and you would be crazy to use them yourself. Inept and shady. Customer service sucks. Despicable. Will be contacting the BBB.

Redefybe helped us with our interstate move last year. The owner, Sarah, came recommended by our real estate agent in Portland and was very friendly and pleasant to work with and we hoped that this would be a positive experience. The loading crew was also very friendly at the beginning but as the loading went on, they started bickering amount themselves and at times one of the movers was particularly unprofessional. The crew leader failed to weigh the truck prior to starting the drive to oregon the following day, which lead to us meeting them at a weigh station several hours away and then we proceeded to spend several hours with them in a hot trucking lot, unloading part of the truck and deciding which of our belongings we would have to throw away so the truck would not be overweight at the state line. To boot, we had two young children and pets to manage during this time. On the receiving end, a new crew came to unload and they proceeded to again be very unprofessional as they carried our belongings into our the basement of our new home and cracked jokes about the hallways reminding them of scenes from the Shining. Several items were damaged in the move and the truck knocked over our new neighbors mailbox. We submitted a claim for the damages and followed the instructions Sarah gave. We were told it would be up to 120 days for the claim to be resolved. It has nearly been a year now and the claims company seems to have no record of our original claim and the cost of the damaged items have not been covered. I am so disappointed in the outcome of this move and sorry to have to write a negative review for Redefyne. I really hope they will wrap up our damage claim before we hit a year in our new home.

The worst moving company in business. I have moved with them three different time over 4 years. The first time the destroyed my $2000 tool box, and only paid me pennies on the dollar for it. This is after they tried to hid it with a blanket before leaving. Speaking of blankets they took 14 of my packing blankets, and would not return them. The second move whet better small minor issues. The third move was going great until they backed the Uhaul into the front step of the house and chipped off a section. Andrew the GM said to get estimates and he would most likely just take care of it. He ended up having me file a claim under his insurance for contents, they denied the claim because the dont cover personal property. I have asked how they want to resolve this and I was told they would not be taking care of this and best regards to me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I used this company for a recent out-of-state move. The process of getting a quote and sorting out the details was extremely smooth and they worked with my schedule and coordinated their team to ensure our things got to where they needed to be by the time we needed them. On the day of moving, the two guys rolled out the red carpet (literally) and were professional in wrapping and packing our things. While we had a few minor issues, we were able to resolve them with the company and we were overall satisfied with how things worked out. I would absolutely recommend this company. Their customer service and ability to provide a fair and pleasant moving experience is exactly what I will look for in future moving and storage companies.

The move itself was great! Ron,Kevin and Daniel were efficient, careful and so polite. We loved having them take care of it all. The communication leading up to the move was not so great but I do know part of the blame was the pandemic. I tried for 3 days to connect with the person arranging the details to no avail. Took leaving a frantic message on moving day itself to get a call back. But all worked out fine and I would recommend this company to move your home!

Redyfne Moving - Yelp Review Five stars and more. You won't want to use any other mover ever after using Redefyne Moving. They are the best, they go way beyond expectations, every efficient and they honor and resolve any problems. After reading Yelp reviews on two or three movers (you are required to give your destination, date of move, et.al to get a quote, and they are all in the same ballpark) I chose them and I am so glad that I did. I gave my neighbor their information after my move but she chose a different group (starting with 2 or 3 brothers, fathers, sons) and not the best reviews, for a reason... but her nightmare is another story. I love Redefyne Moving. They really understand the whole process: Old Location: The day of move, they showed up on time, discussed the layout of my items to be moved, where they would go into the new home, any concerns (and this is how they loaded their 26' truck). They immediately went to work, one wrapped, the others started loading, and they were very systematic. When it came time for the garage (many items not boxed) they had boxes and sealed them for me. I really did not need to supervise them so I vacuumed each of the rooms as they emptied. New Location: The next day at new location (over 100 miles away), they checked over my home and layout before unpacking, started unloading and systematically placed my items as I directed them. It went like clockwork, so smooth. One item was damaged and the mover showed, talked about how to either fix or replace it. He was very honest and concerned. Issues: My items were over the 6,000 pound limit for the truck, very unexpected on both sides. Several items had to be removed (bbq, stone statuary) and Redefyne gave me two months free storage to store them until I could get them. This never happened because I live 100 miles away with no possible way of retrieving. This is where Redefyne Moving shines over its competition in 'issue resolution'.. Issue Resolution: Andrew, the manager worked with me 'to my heart's delight' and came up with a solution that was so unexpected. He had a delivery the next day to my area (within 45 miles or so) and that truck had room so he loaded it up with my items from storage and at the end of the move they delivered and placed my items, like in my original move. And, I was reimbursed for the damaged dresser drawers, applied to the charge of the move (under $200 total). This company goes above and beyond its competition: Best work force (focused, hardworking. honest, listening), great move and placement of items (no need for supervising because they are disciplined), and confidence in problem resolution (most people don't have problems, mine was the weight limit that could be tolled). Going back to my neighbor's move, her company was more expensive (and kept getting more expensive as they had to resolve moving items they left behind), they were really sloppy and not focused, taking lots of breaks, talking and disorganized), having to pay more for them to bring her TV and garage items. She was ready to use Redefyne Moving to finish her move but at the last minute her company, reluctantly, came through enough.

Movers were fantastic, customer service/office staff, not so much. First, they double booked me, and when I called to straighten it out, weren't as nice as I expected them to be given it was their mistake. Then, was only told the day before about a three hour minimum, despite speaking with two different employees previously, including the CEO, who never mentioned this. I even specifically asked the person I booked with about minimums and was told it was 1 hour. Then apparently the first CS person I spoke with to book saw communication between myself and another employee regarding this problem after we had settled it, and decided to jump into the conversation and essentially say I was lying, including that he had proof. Customer service did not seem to have customer service experience. However, the two employees that moved the boxes and furniture were fantastic. Incredibly professional, fast, careful, and very nice.

Redefyne Moving in Clackamas is a no go!!!! NEVER ever use this company! Screwed us over by over $1200 and wont make it right!!! We got a quote via a zoom walk through, and then the day of move charged me $1700 one way, AND ran out of room on truck, so we had to get a trailer and finish the move, missing work and a lot of stress! Manager won't refund us more then $300 and won't take the blame that the estimate was way off... So, I will share so it doesnt happen to anyone else!! One star instead of none because the workers were all nice and we tipped them well still. Not their fault management is not making a mistake right!

We used them to move my Mother's small amount of furniture and felt they were dishonest. The actual moving crew was fine -- nice guys and careful -- but the office personnel seemed determined to gouge us. They have a 3 hour minimum and charge for transit. In the original conversation, I was assured that the job would be done in 3 hours including drive time. But the day before the move, everything changed. The "operations manager" was condescending when i complained and seemed determined to get as much time into the job as possible. On top of it all, after the move, the office called to notify me that the crew hadn't charged for enough transit time and she was adding a $57 charge to my credit card. Really disappointing.
