We decided during quarantine, that this would be a great time to move. I went through Thumbtack and carefully read through tons of companies and reviews, and I stumbled across QShark. Their pricing was comparable to other companies, but the reviews were superior to all others. A week or so prior to our move date, I went ahead and booked with them. They confirmed everything over the phone and via email as well. The Called the night prior to our move go confirm everything. They didn't charge us any differently for a Sunday during memorial day weekend either, which really surprised me. The morning of, they called me an hour and a half prior to our start time, letting us know they'd be arriving at approximately 10:45am for our 11am time slot. I met them downstairs as they wore masks for social distancing, Anthony and Eugene were our mover helpers! They filled out the start time as 10:55am and got to work right away. They graciously worked with us and all of our things. I explained that since it was a short move(5 miles), I didn't need everything wrapped, just the dressers, fridge, tv stand and Rocking chair. They happily obliged. They worked at an even pace start to finish. They followed behind us at our new place, and due to spacing, they couldn't quite fit through the driveway. They made the trips back and forth getting all of our furniture in our new home. I want to stop right here and say this: Never once did these guys complain about a single thing. They were the nicest, kindest people we could have asked for in this move. Moving can be stressful, but these guys took that all out of the equation. Anyways, back to moving in. They were so quick to offer to jump in any time I maybe wanted to rearrange something because it fit a little better over there. They even took our couch apart and door off the hinge so our couch could fit in a certain room. They out everything exactly where I asked them to. They treated myself and my husband with so much respect. These guys are honestly the only people I would allow to help me move again. They listened to me, heard what I asked, and did it joyfully. They're hard workers and I never saw them stop for anything. Total cost: $428 for 4 Hours, 15 minutes for a Sunday rate of $89/hour and the $50 fuel fee. As this was a long drive to our initial location, there was a $50 fuel fee but this was discussed prior to my booking their services. I had NO last minute additional costs. They didn't add a single thing to our move or try to be sneaky at the end. They're genuinely nice, hard working guys and I'd be happy to have them back next time, and to recommend them to anyone else moving.”

However, when we unpacked in our new home (less than 5 miles away), we discovered a few items missing. Luckily, they were not super valuable, but I expected all the items to make the move. We contacted the company and while they have been responsive, there's been no answers a month later. The items were too large for a regular box, they were packed from a closet by the movers. They were going to another job after ours so I figure they ended up at someone else's house or the moving company threw them out. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company. Update: I've been working with Wes at QShark who has been very responsive in helping to resolve the situation. As we unpack we'll be in contact with them on the damages, and they will be refunding us a large portion of the initial cost. I struggle to put into words how truly terrible our experience was. But I'll try—unprofessional, damaging and heartbreaking. I do not wish it upon any one. It took me just over two weeks to even write this review, because every time I think about it it makes me so upset. *Here are the low lights*: They advertise that they will come prepared with boxes to help you pack, and all you need to do is pay for the boxes you use. This is not true—they do not come with boxes for purchase and they were clearly not interested in helping pack. When they arrived and saw we still had some things which needed packing, they asked who was going to do it... I reminded them that that's why we hired them. They said "ok, all good. It's fine". The only boxes they had come prepared with were MASSIVE (probably around 5 feet tall) wardrobe boxes. All we had left in the house to pack were things from the kitchen (glasses, plates, etc.) and other smaller items (ex: table lamps, audio equipment). Sometimes they placed our items in these massive boxes carefully, but often it felt like our stuff was just swimming inside the boxes, banging against one another. I communicated to the lead mover, Robert, that we were going to be putting everything into storage in our new home since the house was not yet move in ready. So, I asked if we could keep things like the moving blankets on our designer furniture. He said I'd have to pay for them—$15 each. I said, no problem, I will pay for the blankets and the boxes. When we left our house to meet them at the new house, one of the men was smoking weed in front. Listen, I have no probably with marijuana, but smoking it so obviously on the job, especially one where you're moving all of my precious belongings, is unacceptable. As they were unpacking the belongings into the storage at our new house, we noticed they started unpacking the massive wardrobe boxes they had brought. We alerted them that since it's going into storage, to please not unpack them, and I restated I'd buy the boxes. Robert replied, "No, these are *my* boxes". So, I guess not only was all of my stuff just clanking around inside of them during transport because they were too big, but they weren't even available for me to buy as was advertised. The same thing then also happened with our Design Within Reach furniture which I thought would be inside of the moving blankets. They unpacked them, and now there are scratches all over. Everyone knows that when you load a storage area, you put all of the boxes stacked in the back of the storage area first, and then any irregular, loose items go in last. Instead, they cantilevered chairs on top of chairs next to delicate items. They placed a table on top of the couch, with stacks of boxes on top of it. All of our belongings precariously stored. Since we weren't allowed to keep the boxes, many items are just sitting around, completely unpacked. We've already noticed some items are damaged, and I am scared to think what our fragile items and family heirlooms will be like... We bought a mattress cover for the mattress since it'd be inside in the construction area, and once I left, I realized they had removed the cover. So the mattress is now filthy from construction dust. When they were done, he tried to get me to sign a customer satisfaction document. I felt extremely uncomfortable and pressured and intimidated by him to sign. I told him I was unhappy with the way things turned out, and he reminded me that they are professionals. I signed the first line, and then immediately crossed out my signature and wrote that I was unhappy and refused the sign the rest. He stormed out angrily. *Positives*: The crew under Robert were nice guys. They certainly intended well, but given the poor leadership, it was clear there was no quality bar they felt they needed to meet.”
