Given my experience and the other similar complaints, I recommend avoiding Puma. They were, in a word, terrible—the worst mover I have used of the many movers I have used. First, Puma surprised us with a last-minute change of dates, starting to pack us up a day early and forcing us to scurry to make plans for our last days at our old location. They took an extra day to complete the job. The move had over $2000 of damage by their own accounting, and that was after they discounted many items for what we thought were unjustified reasons to get the claim below the deductible and reimburse zero. They took 3 months to devalue our claim! Puma disclaimed responsibility for ruining our antique grandfather clock which at the time we were choosing a company they misrepresented to us that they had expertise in handling. They threatened defamation against us when we objected. Two items never arrived. Puma’s response was that we needed to have noted the item’s non-arrival at the time of delivery—something that was an impossibility given the large volume of boxes.”

If there was a lower rating, I would give it! They were horrible! Rebecca quoted us 3k which was then changed to 6500 on moving day. She assured our things would arrive in less than 2 weeks- it took over a month to make the 18 hour drive! When our things arrived the driver tried to con us out of an additional $500. He brought with him convicted felons he had hired on craigslist. They unloaded heavy boxes by hand until half way through he pulled out a dolly. We have 9k in damages: broken, shattered, scratched, melted (YEP MELTED) and crushed items. Noah the supposed VP and apparently husband to Rebecca, assured us he would handle it all personally and make it right. He then disappeared and left us to chase our tail through their insurance claim process. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF- DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!”

We called Puma Van Lines to get a moving estimate from Dallas to Chicago. Rebecca was the voice on the other end. We received a prompt and professional attention. The estimate was reasonable (meaning affordableto us). She also followed up with a written estimate via email within 10 minutes of the phone call. The mover picked up the furniture on the June 16. They wrapped and packed everything ... better than my expectation. On the 17th, the mover called us saying that they were ready to deliver on the 18th!!! This is crazy fast. Rebecca guaranteed 14 days. The unpacking and reassembling of the furniture went well ... we were satisfied, extremely satisfied. So i have to rate my experience with Puma and their staff members a 5 star.”

PUMA VANLINES charged a credit card deposit fraudulently with out a signed contract. Donna was very quick to amend the preliminary inventory list and contract several times durning the sales process. When I notified her we had decided to make the move ourselves due to the delivery schedule clause I was told I was required to email them a cancellation for refund even though no contract had been signed. I emailed her immediately but have been unable to obtain a confirmation of cancellation or refund after four business days. Sadly this leaves us no choice but to disputes the charge. Very dissapointing ending with what seemed to be a reputable company.”

STAY AWAY! They talk a good game, but when there is trouble they will NOT return your calls or do what they say they will do. They damaged my wood floor, and 7 of my items they moved. I have made 9 attempts to get my issue resolved and have now filed a formal complaint with BBB. In addition, they won't bother to come look before they make you a quote, then when they show up with a truck that's too small, will leave you standing there with belongings that can't be moved. Save yourself the trouble and find someone else!”

Well Puma Van Lines had one last chance to make it right with me after 4 months of trying to deal with them and the terrible Anthem Claim Management company that helps to rip people off and tearing my life apart by damaging & STEALING $30,000 in all my stuff in items from me and of course they did not. I mean who would except a crooked company to try and make things right. I would have settled at half of what they did to me! Now, it is time to go to court and get my full amount that I deserve! I don't know why I even thought they would make it right in the first place. Time to get the news involved, already filed a police report on them and now it is time to retain my lawyer and take this crooked terrible company to court. I will be reporting them to all government agencies and the Better Business Bureau. See you there Puma Van Lines! Also, anyone reading this DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY unless you want to lose almost everything you own!! Be careful for the BAIT N SWITCH illegal tactics that they use as well. Do yourself the favor and stay far away from this company. Also, be known they changed their company name once according to Better Business Bureau and they have multiple facebook pages due to the extreme amount of negative reviews. That should give you a huge red flag there too!”

Whatever you do DO NOT USE THEM!! This is absolutely the most horrendous moving company in the entire world. We have moved from Florida to New York, twice in New York, New York to Texas, twice in Texas and never once had even close to as many issues as we did with Puma moving down to Florida. They are THIEVES! Whatever they did not steal, they broke. It looked like they dropped our stuff on the side of the road and then a monster truck drove over all the boxes. Not a single wardrobe box came intact. When we tried to work with them to locate our belongings, the guys on the phone were nasty, give you the runaround, and basically tell you to go fly a kite, that it's not their problem, they're just the sales guys (who don't care what happens once they make their "sale"). The claim's departments doesn't do any better. We were absolutely devastated and they didn't give a care in the world. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!!!!!”

I had hired movers to get me from Shreveport, Louisiana to Wichita, Kansas. They were supposed to arrive on a Wednesday or Thursday and the week of the move called to say they could not even confirm a pickup by Saturday. I called Donna at Puma late on Wednesday afternoon and she had a crew at my place on Friday morning. She knew I had been through an ordeal and told me the crew would try to get my stuff to Wichita in five days (even though the contract indicated it could be up to two weeks). In fact, they delivered my belongings in only four days! Gus and his crew showed up and made quick work of packing and loading everything and did it all in about two hours. When they arrived in Wichita, it had been raining for a week. They made sure to avoid tracking into the house and they unloaded everything quickly and reassembled everything. I expected to have broken items (as with any move) but really the only things I noticed were a couple of scratches on the kitchen table and the exhaust hose from the dryer was missing. I am so appreciative to everyone at Puma that helped me get to Wichita on such short notice!”

They might be great at in TX moving and cheap, but once you moved to another state and sleeping in your living room on your blow up mattress for over a month, you will learn the hard way. The customer service is great, but the trucking company they use or hire is just horrible, they never know where your stuff is at, or even got you the wrong driver. We lost many items : Xbox, vacuum , cat condo... they ruined the whole experience of moving to a new place for us.”
