I’m a little late to leaving my review since I booked Precise Movers late last October (2019). However I wanted to give credit where due: I got a good feeling texting with the owner: he was down to earth and very responsive, professional and friendly. He gave me the name of the crew leader in advance and urged me not to hesitate with any special instructions. The young men assigned showed up promptly and worked very hard. They asked questions about how I personally preferred they handle and wrap certain items rather than guessing but they knew what they were doing. And there was a lot to move - most of the furniture and a ton of boxes from a 3 bedroom suburban house to a 3 bedroom city apartment (from antiques to contractor bags of random things). And it started raining halfway through the unload. But they powered through. I didn’t have a ton of cash on me so I split my tip half-cash/half-debit. I just regret giving them a positive review so late, because I’d like to see the guys who did the job get credit. All three of them were excellent: nice guys, great work ethic.”

In my opinion I was overcharged by $100! Moving is stressful! Per our phone agreement & questions I asked Mitch before move he said don’t worry just tip the drivers good. I tipped very good (he was one of drivers). 2nd agreed upon stop I had paid extra for, my sister asked if I had taken care of tip? Mitch replied that I had tipped enough for the whole family. Ratings can be positive or negative. I got a text from Mitch that if I do not remove this he will contact his attorney. No! I stand by the truth.”

I had experienced a house fire and had to move my family of five into my moms house. After a week of staying with my mom her dryer quit working. I felt awful. I purchased a new washer and dryer that was not able to be delivered for over a week. I called precise moving and they stated they could pick up, deliver and set up the new appliances. They were prompt and on time which is why a gave them two stars. It took over three ours to set up the two appliances. My mom called me at the office in tears. They damaged her walls in the laundry room along with dirty handprints on the walls. They told her not to worry about the handprints because they were behind the appliances. They left and she then tried to use the new washer. It sounded worse than the old one. I called and left several messages without a response. When I came home from a 12 work day I decided to read the instructions for set up. I then decided to pull out the washer which is really scary. I am not very handy. I found they did not remove the packing bolts from the new washer drum. Actually step 1 in the instructions. It damaged the new washer. A week later a service man came out to repair the brand new washer. The money I paid to deliver and set up the washer and dryer was flushed. We ended up waiting an additional week for the repair. 7 people no washer to use. Thanks precise moving. Two weeks later my family moved into our temporary home. Big Sandy’s delivered our new washer and dryer. Same models. Set up time was 20 minutes without any damage. Count your blessings I gave you two stars.”

Don't waste your time with this company. I called them on the same of my move, and ironically they had two movers available. It was a rush process, as the manager told me to text him my full name, addresses (to and from), email address, and description of my house (number of rooms, etc). He needed this information to send me a quote even though he told me the quote $250 over the phone. During the time I was on the phone he never explained or offer the insurance. The movers scratched my leather sofa, dented my dresser, and shelves, and the shelves in my dresser doesn't close all way now. My dining room table is scratched. So I called the manager and told him what happen even included pictures, he told me that I should have purchased the insurance but he knew a man that dyes furniture and could possible helped. I told him that I wanted a professional company to make the repairs. I also told him that the movers left a lot of big items. He told me that he would come and assess the damages on Sunday and I never heard from him again. This company is not to be trusted. Hidden fees, and dishonest and unprofessional!!!”

I used Yelp's "get a quote" feature to pull several business estimates for movers. Mitchell from Precise movers contacted me right away, letting me know that they would need a little more information to price my job accurately. I reached back out to him right away to get a quote. He was so great and easy to talk to on the phone, and explained the whole cost breakdown. He asked me to text him exactly what we would need moved, and when/where. He was able to get me a great price; lower than what I expected. We set a time and date with the seceratary and confirmed the day before. I expected that the movers might be late because I scheduled them to come at 4PM on a Saturday, which is always a busy day. However, they ended up Coming much later than I thought. Of course the movers had a full schedule, and I anticipated that. I really can NOT be upset with Precise for being late because Mitchell texted me to let me know at noon that they were running late, and got me in contact with the crew manager so we would have a point of contact. So I knew WAY ahead of time to plan for a late arrival, which was great. The move was supposed to be at 4, and they didn't end up making it until 7pm. Although I was upset that it threw my time frame off by a couple of hours, the issue that caused the late arrival was super unforeseen and they handled everything really professionally: even sent an extra third man for FREE to help speed things up! So awesome! Jay and the crew were amazing, super strong, nice and worked so fast. Everything ended up in the house where I needed it, and they worked their butts off getting it all done in the time frame given: I really appreciate their hustle! One tip though, for the booking process is to make sure you have some extra money on hand for tax when you go to pay at the end of the job. I was paying in cash, and almost didn't have enough on me to cover that expense. I wasn't informed there would be taxes; but I guess maybe that's something I just should have known? It all worked out, and I highly recommend Mitchell and his team.”

We schedule an appointment for 1pm they didn't arrive until 10pm.(we booked a week ago) Their communication throughout the day was inconsistent and when they arrive the manager acted like we were at fault because we were upset. He used alot of excuses and then said a normal moving company would have cancelled. He then didn't have a way to pay with card. (This should have been communicated earlier not at 10pm) He became very unreasonable and stormed out leaving totes and bags on the sidewalk. and stated "this is why I don't like doing business with women." His workers were over worked but polite. I would never recommend this company.”

A solid business with a hard working owner and competitive pricing for a small business. They did a business move for us and while I was not there the entire time, I did like what I saw while I was there. I respect the hard work that the employees do in moving businesses and individuals/families, especially during the summer heat and all. But I am extremely concerned that with being in and out of multiple residences and business buildings per day and the mask wearing mandates in the city and several suburban areas - and the fact that employees can't really social distance when doing a move - that not being required to wear masks and also not having the supplies and requirements of washing and sanitizing hands as well as surfaces (Truck, etc) and potentially using their hands to wipe sweat off their faces and such that they are being put at significantly increased risk themselves - as well as their families and friends that they may live with and go home to or see occasionally during this time. Again, I get that it is hot and I know that they are working hard but I am concerned about their safety and protection and of those around them since it is a high contact and exposure job. Also I do not know how often between state moves are being performed but one might assume that employees are not quarantining after traveling are to state for work especially in hot spot states and cities. EDITED TO ADD FOLLOWING RESPONSE BELOW FROM COMPANY: Again, they did a nice job from what we saw and we did stay out of their way to give them space, allow them to work at their normal pace, and social distance for the health and safety of the employees and our office staff. Please don't take my feedback or concern over masks, sanitizing, etc. as harsh because I do understand and very much appreciate the hard work and manual labor your guys put in day in and day out and I know it is a tiring job and they definitely work up a sweat. At this time, I am just concerned about the safety and possible of your men as I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to them or their families during this pandemic. I have checked out your social media to learn more about the company and better be able to provide others with a recommendation and referral for your company and it looked like a lot of recent pictures of your crews but didn't seem to reflect the unfortunate time we are living in right now. You all are doing awesome and THANK YOU for all that you do. Please accept my sincere appreciation and wishes for your employees to stay safe and keep themselves, family, and friends COVID-19 free during all of this.”
