My family moved from NH to GA recently. Like I'm sure most of you, I have read some horror stories about moving companies. Needless to say, I was extremely reluctant to search online. I actually found Pony Express on Home Advisor, so I thought it was the safest choice...it absolutely was the best decision. Josh, is so great t for whom to work, with prompt and effective communication. He had my move planned and set before our house even sold, so when it did sell, we were ready to go. His movers showed up on time and ready to work. They packed the truck carefully and efficiently, wrapping our furniture with protective blankets and plastic. All three guys were very friendly and respectful. Josh called to verify the truck was loaded appropriately and we were satisfied. Once in GA, our truck was delivered on time. Our closing was an utter nightmare for about 4 hours. The three guys hired for the delivery were amazing. They waited patiently for us to arrive for two hours in the hot sun. I could not believe that they didn't give up and leave, I certainly would not have blamed them. Even with the long delay, they willingly worked late into the day to get us in the house. All three guys were so nice and sympathetic. Our belongings arrived safely and without one broken piece of furniture or boxed item. Josh called later that evening when he hadn't heard from his guys, to ensure that all was well and our move was successful.I relayed the disaster of the day and raved about his employees. To anyone who is in need of an out-of-state or local move, I assure you that Pony Express will take care of you. They are reasonably priced and extremely well versed in the moving process. You will not regret using them...I sure don't!”

I was very disappointed. I could tell that one of the movers was not properly trained on how to move things safely and how to pick up items in a way to not hurt himself. Also, they moved very slow, im not sure if it was because they knew they were getting paid by the hour so they took their time, but I didnt expect to pay almost double what I was quoted for to move 10 items.”

I had to do a last minute move last month and these guys were great! They were able to get me an appointment window the next day, arrived on time with plenty of warning, and got my move done faster (and for less money) than expected! I will recommend and use them again in a heartbeat. The only thing to watch out for is that I initially called and left a voicemail because they were closed and never received a call back. Once I called back during business hours it only took 10 minutes to set everything up and the actual move was such a breeze so I’ll still give them five stars. I guess just a word of advice to consumers to make sure you get someone on the phone because voicemails can sometimes get lost.”

Moving isn't perfect, and neither am I. Thank goodness for Pony Express Movers. This was the second time PEM moved me, both times under four miles. I have all the pain-in-the-butt qualities of a customer with ADHD - and the movers were [both times] super helpful, super professional, and super kind. And super patient. And had great senses of humor. I'm not saying you shouldn't be organized before, during, and after your move, if possible. You should. It helps everyone. If you can't be, you should [note to self] probably just hire PEM to help you pack next time. And if things don't go as planned, take a deep breath, do your best, buy a round of cold electrolyte drinks for your movers, and tip kindly as you're able.
