This was a really bumpy experience, though I appreciate that in the end my piano was delivered safe and sound. I had scheduled my piano pick up for 12-1 on Friday, but they called to let me know they'd be there at 10:30. Earlier than I had planned, but I was able to adjust. Then they said they'd be dropping it off around 5-6 that evening, which I was a little surprised by because I thought they'd drop it off at the new address immediately. I texted when I hadn't heard from them at 5:30, then they said it'd be 7-8. Then they texted to say that since it was dark, they wanted to wait until the next morning. This was super inconvenient for me as I was waiting at the new address for them to show up, and I certainly wasn't expecting to have my piano taken overnight. They did get it to me the next morning, and I appreciate that they maneuvered their truck up my steep driveway and got everything reassembled quickly. Be really clear about timelines and expectations when you're scheduling a delivery. Also I wish both people had worn masks the entire time instead of just sometimes.”

I didn't want to go through the process of refinishing it, so I asked for help in moving the piano to the dump. We hired Piano Moving Art to move our upright piano. It was on the back porch and I gave them three options (paths) for them to get it to the front. They picked the option of moving it through the house. We live in a split level so they had about 6 stairs to navigate to the front porch and then three more stairs to the front yard. It was so interesting watching them problem solve the move. Once they knew what they were going to do they completed the task with ease. The were extremely professional and careful with the surroundings (house, yard, etc.) I took a few videos because I thought the person getting the piano would want to see the move happening.
