I ordered a sofa from Wayfair. Not only did I order a sofa ONLINE, but I ordered a sofa that required ASSEMBLY. There were problems with the delivery from Wayfair to PDX Movers. After a couple of weeks, it was thus concluded that the sofa was basically lost. PDX Movers stayed in touch with me throughout and Wayfair eventually just re-ordered the sofa and expedited a second delivery. Nick and Dalton called me the day of delivery with ample advance notice of arrival. Over the phone Dalton explained they would not have time to assemble the sofa, but once they arrived, they made it happen anyway! THANK YOU! They were very professional and efficient. And guess what? They will likely have to come back because after all of this....I'm returning the sofa! HA! You get what you pay for - the quality overall was disappointing, but what can you expect with a sofa that requires assembly...? :-/”

I can speak only to their delivery service (from Wayfair), but I can say that I would never recommend this company. They do not communicate appropriately about delivery of items, and take forever to deliver if you live outside the Portland area. It took 13 days from my item's arrival at their warehouse for them to even contact me about a delivery time. This was despite my contacting them approximately one week after it arrived (where their representative was able to give me no information). Quite conveniently, I only received communication after I contacted Wayfair (since Wayfair indicated communication within 2 business days). On the day of delivery, I was contacted to say their truck broke down and that they would have to reschedule my delivery with no estimated delivery date. Because this was their issue, I would have expected them to at least attempt to deliver within a reasonable time frame. Instead it took an additional 10 days (since they clearly waited until they had a full truck bound for Longview rather than prioritize the items that had been waylaid by their company's issues). I didn't expect overnight delivery of my furniture but would expect a company like this to have a proper communication plan in place especially given their use of automated messages, and a desire to actually rectify problems that are their fault, like a truck breaking down.”

The company that handled our actually delivery in NYC really managed to mess up a few things and David was with us every step of the way until things got sorted (which unfortunately took several months). David epitomizes customer service. The problems we had were not at all his fault, but he fought along side us to ensure we got refunded for some of the damage done during our delivery. Any company led by someone with that level of integrity I would recommend and use again myself. Moves are always a pain, so the least you can do is find a company with solid management. He offered free no obligation survey to give me more accurate estimate. He showed up on time and gave me tips to save money during our walk. Afterwards he followed up and addressed all my questions and concerns. On moving day two guys showed up on time with all necessary equipment and did a fantastic job. They packed my big furniture items, covered my glass table and glass top furniture very professionally. They did not waste any time. We asked for a Friday pickup and Saturday delivery, and the estimate was right, so we took it. Anderson, Edward, and Ryan wrapped and loaded the truck. They were both professional and friendly at the same time. They were very fast and fun to work with. They kept saying, "don't be shy, got anymore you want us to take? " Anderson and Edward came Saturday and unloaded the truck and took everything to each room. They even helped me move some items I couldn't move myself. Our home was small, and I had moved out everything, but the large furniture. The new place was less than 10 minutes, so thankfully I didn't have to pay much for drive time. Update: Business contacted me regarding the excessive wrapping, and what seemed to be the stringing out of time. They included me I updated policies, and now allow the home owner to have some discretion on how much wrapping is done on items.”

Amazing!! Thank you to Nick, Landon, Gabriel, and Dylan. Extremely professional, kind, and quick. Hustled it through the heat, over a bridge and through the woods! I originally got 3 quotes from various moving companies our real estate agent recommended. PDX movers was the highest quote, but I called to ask why the other companies were lower, and they said that all moving companies charge hourly and within a certain range, since it is a regulated industry. If a moving company seems super low, they may be just trying to snag you, but in the end it may end up being more, since it is an hourly charge. That was not the case with PDX movers. We were quoted around $1800 and it ended up being around $1300, since it took less time than expected (we moved a few things ourselves after Kaari came out to do an inventory check). Also, they supplied us with 2 big trucks, but we only used 1, so Nick was kind enough to call in and check to see that we would only be charged for one truck. Extremely responsive team over email and phone. And honest, too. This is why I went with them. Other moving companies were very slow to call back, taking a day or two to return calls.
