Parma Mover packed my collectibles fine. I had no problems with those. I had only 6 larger pieces moved across country, however, and they work with Bekins to do this. They said they use them all the time. Unfortunately, half of those pieces arrived damaged. I understood that they were taking the goods from my house and putting them on a larger truck for the trip. They told me they would be protected, no problem. The issue is, I have no idea how many times and who loaded/unloaded my things. There are too many possible points of failure on a move like this and it ends up with a bunch of finger pointing. Parma Movers apologized and sent me a claim form for Wheaton Movers who owns Bekins. This claim form stated that it needed supporting documentation of the goods and their value, etc. Very hard to do with family heirlooms. If possible, hire a company who sees it all the way through, if that is at all possible anymore. They were recommended to me from another long distance move, however, I was very surprised and disappointed on the outcome.

4 stars If you’ve never used a professional moving service, seeing an initial quote for your home can be a huge shock. We found Parma Movers rates to be competitive with all the local movers. A few weeks before our scheduled move, we realized we would not have a new home yet. Parma Movers also offers storage, which is a huge benefit if you end up needing it like we did. Movers: We had 3 guys assigned to move our things out of our house. They were friendly, fast & asked lots of questions to be sure they weren’t taking anything they weren’t supposed to. They ended up finishing earlier than our quote, which saved us a little money we had set aside for the move. When it was time to move into our new home, the guys assigned to our home were also great. Our things were in storage for 6 months, so it was tough to remember everything we had. The guys were extremely patient at times while we tried to figure out where some things needed to go. They put everything where it needed to be, and if they weren’t sure, they always asked. Storage: The items were delivered to our new home without any major damage. Some minimal dings were expected, since our items were essentially moved 4 times (out of home, into storage, out of storage, into new home). We had 2 metal bed frames that were lost in storage, and Parma Movers acted quickly to rectify the situation. I purchased 2 new metal frames, and received 100% reimbursement 3 days later without any hassle. Overall: Our experience was good. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and courteous. The movers, billing department & others were always positive & we felt like great customer service was a priority. Losing the bed frames was a temporary inconvenience, but it was nothing that would prevent us from recommending Parma Movers. We would not hesitate to use again if we ever need to move.

Started off as a good experience until it came time for payment. Their pricing is very shady. They charge you for an hour of travel time even if you only live 10 minutes away. Then they only use 2 guys no matter how big your moving job is so that increases the moving time and ultimately costs you more. I ended up paying $800 for a job I thought would be around $500. There are better movers available with better rates than these guys.---I am listed under my married name for the moving job that was performed. I wouldn't waste my time writing a review if I never used your services. If you aren't willing to provide a refund for that ridiculous travel time charge, I'm not sure how much more assistance you could provide.

Would never use or recommend Parma Movers ever again. Ever. Moving day is stressful by its very nature. The owner of Parma Movers came to my house to walk through everything and give an estimated month prior to the moving date. Saw everything, reviewed everything and gave me a weight estimate. Day of moving he shows up and says he didn’t realize I was moving everything. Isn’t that the point of moving. He was argumentative, impolite, unprofessional, and has zero idea about customer service. Zero. Bekins Van Lines of Indiana should reconsider adding their name to this unprofessional “family owned” business for intrastate moving. In my opinion this should be a family out of business. Didn’t bring a big enough truck and informed me on the spot that they would pack the moving van and anything left would be my responsibility to move separately. Why not go get another truck since it was the owner who under estimated the move. Did I say unprofessional? And yes, they left behind a substantial amount of my personal items of which now I must rent a U Haul to transport at my own time and extra money to my new city and state. Estimated weight of my possessions by the owner of Parma Movers was off by 5,000 pounds. Looks to me like a bait and switch on the spot. Shame upon Parma Movers. They actual men who did the lifting and moving were quite good. Jett and Brian were Efficient, polite and helpful.

We were a little nervous using movers for the first time. We vetted several moving companies and Parma Movers was by far the best priced so that's who we went with. It's hard to describe how impressed we were on moving day with the crew and their energy. The crew of four : Chuck, Alan, Jamie and Ryan T were right on time and immediately ready to work! They were professional and knowledgeable. They busted their butts on the first 90 degree day of the year. They were patient with my "first timer" questions. They helped us secure some fragile and odd shaped pieces. Never any complaints! Only polite and funny commentary which we enjoyed. It helped make the nerve-wracking move easier on us. They finished what was quoted as an 8 hour job in 4.25 hours. We were blown away!!! We did get notice that one piece of furniture broke in storage, but there's nothing we can do about that. I've requested that the same crew move our stuff from storage and into the new house next week. We HIGHLY recommend this company. We would use them in a heart beat if we ever move again!

This was my first time ever using movers and I was impressed with this company. They came highly recommended by others and lived up to my expectations. Debbie answered all of my questions in a friendly and courteous manner. She was able to get me the paperwork quickly through email so that I could scratch that off of the list of things to do! Will and Jack were my movers. I honestly have no idea how they do what they do. They were so friendly, somehow managed to smile, and even crack some silly jokes while moving my stuff in this absolutely brutal July heat. I had originally been slightly leery of this pay by the hour kind of thing because you just never know if someone is having a bad day and decides to be slow on purpose or something, but that was definitely not the case. They were professionals and acted accordingly. If I ever move again I know who to contact and have already given a few referrals their way!

PLEASE READ ENTIRE REVIEW! 1.) Lincoln Moving & Storage uses other companies such as Parma Movers for residential and you are not actually being moved by Lincoln Moving & Storage. 2.) There is very little to no protection of floors, stairs, etc. from damage. The move was done on 2 rainy days and the carpets had to be cleaned at both homes due to carpet wet stains and dirt. 3.) The moving guys worked extremely hard, however there was no real concern for placement and damage. 4.) MOST IMPORTANTLY, pay attention to the details as it pertains to WHAT IF YOU HAVE damages. They cover themselves by offering you free insurance at 60 cents on the dollar not of value but of weight. Then when their is damage they have unrealistic weights that they go buy. Sure they give you options to buy really really expensive insurance, but that isn't even at replacement value. In summary the guys doing the work are work horses, however their isn't much care for your stuff. In my specific scenario I had a leather sectional that was $10,500 purchased new and the leather was torn. WELL, their answer was to say that that one piece of the sectional weighed 210lbs so they offered to pay me $180.00. I couldn't buy one of the pillows for that amount.
