I found myself in the most unenviable situation of needing to move during SIP. I waited until the last minute to find movers - a card for $50 off from The One Move was included in the move in packet of the apartment complex I was moving in to. I called them, they were able to schedule me right away - they were very clear on how they calculate charges and were able to give me an estimate over the phone. The three guys they sent were right on time, they all wore masks, worked until all the work was done, and were so patient with me when making sure they placed furniture exactly where I wanted it. These guys are by far the best movers I've used. I've gone the cheap route and hired the chinese moving companies to find stuff missing/damaged and demanding tip for a mediocre job, to higher end movers who take long smoke breaks and end up billing you extra hours but these guys are the complete opposite of that. Junior and his team are moving experts! They called 15 minutes before arrival, pulled up and got to moving from a 2 bedroom apt with a flight of stairs to a single family home. They quote was for 5 hours and I thought it was going to take way longer. But they did it very close to the estimate, going 5.5 hours. and didn't even take a lunch break. They were extremely polite and very helpful and just nonstop. By far the best service from this team. Would definitely hire them again to do any type of move.”

Since I often get stressed before a move (and my wife and I have moved a LOT over the years), I compared at least six or so different moving companies and went with One Move because of the combination of them being local and having overall good reviews. I was pleased with the informational call, the follow-up and confirmation several days beforehand, and ESPECIALLY with the movers themselves. Bernard, Mike, and Paul (I swear I heard "Bo" - perhaps I misheard. Sorry about that!) were prompt, courteous, and extremely professional. They moved quickly, wrapped our furniture in blankets, handled all of our items with care, discussed the rate/price both before and after the move, and had us examine the truck at the end of the day to ensure nothing had been left behind. I was referred to The One Move by a friend & I am SO THANKFUL!! First off, Fran in the office was informative, friendly & quick to reply to emails. Pricing was less than a lot of other places I checked. On moving day ~ Junior, Pou & Sifa arrived at my place on time & ready to work. And BOY did they WORK!! I was living in a 3rd floor apartment with NO ELEVATORS. Back & forth they went ~ I never saw them slow down, sit or even break a sweat. They were polite, clean, respectful of my belongings and helpful with packaging up items that don't really box up too well. I had a 2 drop move (house & storage unit) ~ they were able to load the truck so that there was no unnecessary unpacking at the drop locations. These guys were the fastest and most responsive when it came to quoting. They were friendly on the phone and were really good about following up. I got quotes from a few other top-rated movers, but none of them had as good of a sales process. Lesson here for companies out there - you snooze, you lose. The guys that came to my home were all really friendly and courteous, even making sure to wear shoe covers in my home. I was quoted for 6 hrs, 4 movers, and ended up only using 5 hrs. It was a bit more on the pricey side, but you really do get what you pay for. I had no issues, all of my stuff was wrapped well in blankets and taken care of, and it was 100% stress-free. The guys did a good job of disassembling a lot of my furniture (bed frames, crib, etc) and re-assembling. I also appreciated how they didn't try to upsell me on extra padding/etc -- the guy offered extra padding/boxes for my quartz coffee table at an extra charge, but basically said I didn't really need it and he only offered because he had to for liability reasons. He said he would be extra careful with it and it would be fine -- which it was! Honesty is always nice. I've used a lot of movers in the past -- mostly cheaper ones when I was younger and didn't actually have any furniture that I cared about. But now that I have nicer things, it was great to have a mover that took extra care with my stuff. The whole process was really worry-free, and I'd definitely recommend The One Move. PS. Make sure to grab their $50 coupon on FB 🙂 And they give you a discount if you pay in cash. Always nice to save a little money.”

Listen, you want a company that listens to you, very communicative, and has movers that are fast, friendly, and professional, this company is FANTASTIC. I started off with a quote from Diya, who answered any of my questions and was very thorough with explaining all the different pricing points, like soft crating glass items, how long a move typically takes, what is provided in the quote versus what might be extra, how many movers you get, etc. I emailed her several times and talked to her on the phone a few times, and she always answered very promptly. This made me feel good about going with this company to begin with. The movers themselves arrived on time and gave a 10 minute heads up for when they were going to get to my old apartment. Paea was super courteous and quickly went over anything. Jose and Mike were also super nice. They made sure to ask questions if they were unsure and were very careful with any fragile items. I did end up with two casualties in my move. One of the plastic buckets ended up with a cracked lid. My guess is that something too heavy for it was placed on top, but since it was just a storage bin and not the items inside that were broken, I wasn't that upset. The other thing was a pretty old and cheap night stand that ended up with a cracked leg. Not sure what happened, but when Paea saw it, he asked what I wanted to do with it and he took it to the dumpster for me. What was also awesome is that I was quoted to have some glass crating for one of my shelves plus my TV. However, since I had the original box for the TV, they didn't have to crate it. Also, the glass shelves were fairly small and removable from the rest of the bookshelf, so Paea just generously wrapped it in some moving blankets and transported it that way, so they didn't have to crate that either. Overall, they easily saved me an extra $100. And the best part: they were done in 3 hours. I did have a lot of stuff prepared ahead of time and made sure to clearly mark my belongings, but overall, this move was fairly headache free. It was so nice. After they were done, we drew up the paper work and they even gave me a little vanilla candle as a house warming present!! Thank you so much, Paea, Mike, and Jose! You guys were amazing!”

Fu*k Yes!! Choose these guys! Everyone knows moving sucks, it can be costly and stressful. I've moved before with other movers and they over charged and actually damaged belongings. One Movers was insanely fast, and efficient. We moved from a 1x1 (it had enought stuff for a 2x2 easily) to a 3x2 across the bay. We enlisted 4 movers + 1 truck. We obviously didn't have to do that but with the time it took us last move, we weren't wanting to make this take all day. They said they would arrive between 8am-9am, they showed up at 830, got straight to work. By 1230 we were fully moved into our new home. They were carful, and considerate of our belongings, we only had one accident and it was 100% not the movers fault, one of the workers stepped on a plum and slipped, losing the box he was carrying, fortunately he was ok, and the items in the box were not important and completely replaceable. I hope I don't have to move for a long time to come, but if you are unsure, I highly recommend these guys!”

Paea and the rest of his crew were very professional. They did all the work and we did not lift a finger. We had a last minute request to also include our basketball ring. I was asked to empty the bottom of the rink (water or gel) and we thought we did. As soon as they loaded the basketball ring, the gel started to leak. It messed up the flooring of the truck and made it slippery. And this can risk them from sliding or falling while at work. I was so embarrassed and I knew it made them upset too! But at the end, they all cleaned it up with no complaints. We helped them and provide water and broom to get rid of the gel. All in all, we highly recommend this company! They are punctual. They took care of our stuff without any scratches. And they were the strongest people I have seen!”

There were quite a few boxes and pieces of furniture to be carried up a narrow flight of stairs at the destination, and they went about it like it was nothing! Very reasonable prices, especially given the quality of move! We've tried other movers with great ratings about once a year over the past few years, and they've always been disappointing with their speed - it felt like they were biding time to put more hours and make more money. I'm a little late on this review but better late than never. The decision to move was very last minute. I called on tuesday and they scheduled the guys to arrive on friday. I was told they would call 10m out, but it ended up being 30m which was great because I didn't have to rush as I was meeting them at a storage facility. The guys were in time and very nice. But literally the first few items they brought out to load, boom, box falls. Of course it's the one filled with glasses. I'm honestly still afraid to open it. Next load, one of my nightstands falls off the cart. Obviously damaged. One top corner is banged up and bottom drawer is completely unusable. Everything else seemed to go ok and they were very quick. Finished in 2.5 hours. While they were apologetic, doesn't replace my things. The overall experience was good and I have actually recommended them still.”

I reached out to One Move on July 3rd. On July 6th they were at my house moving my stuff! I couldn't BELIEVE that they were able to squeeze me in on such a quick timeline. When Pablo and his crew (Julio, Chris and Fabian) arrived they immediately noticed that the job was bigger than they had anticipated and would take longer than I was quoted. I appreciated that they were up front and honest, so there weren't any surprises for me on the money end. We immediately pivoted from an everything that is left must go move to a just the furniture move - which kept my budget where I needed it to be (though did add more moving work for us after the fact). They got the work done quickly and efficiently - loading, unloading and assembling furniture where I needed it to be. Once the movers left, I noticed that four bolts were missing from a couple of loft beds. I got in touch with Pablo who helped me to track them down and returned them to us. All in all, very pleased. While I hope I don't have to move any time soon, I wouldn't hesitate to give these guys a call.”

Summary: Professional, courteous and extremely good at what they do! Do not go elsewhere, hire them now! Jacob and his team are fantastic. They helped me out of a very troublesome spot when I had two sets of movers cancel on me for different reasons. The first due to COVID-19 which is understandable. The second team on the other hand showed up at my home completely unprepared, complained about the walk to the POD container I needed to load (it was not far), then left after realizing the job was too much even after knowing prior to arriving what it would entail! Ridiculous! Jacob and his team came to my rescue on the day, literally driving over from another job they had just finished, and in under 2 hours the team of four managed to pack up my 2 bedroom apartment and load my POD container which was just incredible. The entire process from my initial phonecall with Jacob through to the moving experience was perfect. These guys are professionals through and through and really know their stuff when it comes to moving. I wish I could use them for all my moves and I have zero hesitation in recommending them to you!
