It was a little tricky ‘cause we were out of town at the time. Our kids are moving from college, home. It’s the car that we use to travel and do most of our business. That was a little tough, but outside of that everything else was okay. The delivery crew picked up the car a little earlier and were very professional. Overall, they communicated well. We had a fairly easy move out of our one bedroom condo in Miami only to have a bit of a harder time getting to the door of our apartment in Fort Lauderdale because the elevator was no where near the apartment door. The guys were nevertheless courteous and extremely hard working. They were very patient with me as I decided on furniture/rug placement. Everything was delivered without a scratch. Mark was also very easy to work with. He replied to my email quickly and followed up with a phone call to discuss the move in no time. The moving blankets that they use are clean and they also wrapped my sofa cushions and mattress so as nothing would get dirty. Happy to do business with this company and would call them again. The mover tried to get me to sign blank documents when he arrived. When I said I was not comfortable with that he said I didn't trust him. At the end of my move, which took just under 3 hours, they tried to charge for 4 hours. I said no it was 3 hours and then they said 3.5 hours. Finally I pointed to the sheet I signed with the starting time and showed him the current time and said 3 hours which he finally agreed to as if I were cheating him. I could not recommend.”

The move was super quick considering you get charged hourly. I wish they would slow it down a tad to prevent damage. The guys that came were super unprofessional but nice at the same time. Damaged my building and furniture a little bit. Didn't properly disassemble or reassemble a couple of pieces. We wrote down a claim form with the gentlemen and I still haven't received a response months later. Today I got an email stating that my consumer affairs review is now published. I never actually posted a review. I'm guessing they used my email address to boost their score. This is why I'm posting a real review. UPDATE: I still haven't heard anything back from the claims department but I was sent a Visa gift card out of the blue. It didn't cover the costs of damages but better than nothing I guess.”

This is my second time using Moving Squad! When I found out I'd need to move a second time in one year thank goodness I still had these go to movers still in my contacts! Everyone in the office getting my move set up was friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and sent moving paperwork by e-mail so it was easy to verify everything was correct and I had a clear understanding of the price estimate. There was also excellent communication from them on scheduling the actual moving day. On moving day a very professional (and again friendly) team of three movers knocked on my door on time (after calling first so I even had a heads up they were on time) and reassured me that everything would be taken care of and I should just sit back and relax! They worked so hard and quickly getting my boxes into the truck and then carefully wrapping all my furniture to make sure it was protected before they transported it. They even found time to make sure my dog got a few pats on the head as they made their way back and forth to the truck (she's really picky about people and she just thought these guys were great!). I had a bed that was really difficult to move, but they handled it like the pros they obviously are! On the drop off end the move was just as smooth. I sincerely hope that I don't have to move again soon, but if I do I will always know that the least stressful part of that process is going to be calling on Moving Squad to handle moving all my stuff! I highly recommend them.”

We were drawn to Moving Squad as they had good reviews online and sold us on the fact they weren't a large company. We realized after signing that they are Colonial Van Lines (same physical address). We were passed off to Colonial and our original contacts won't contact us back. It has been a month and we still don't have our items, with no estimated delivery date given. We have been lied to repeatedly from our "account manager", and informed from their finance department that we owed more money before our stuff has even been delivered. The experience has been horrible, and I hope this review will turn people away so they don't have to go through the same nightmare that we are having to go through. Simply do a search for Colonial Van Lines and read reviews. We just hope that we will someday see our belongings again, and they won't be destroyed. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF USING THIS COMPANY!”

Got to our new address and had our things unloaded, all furnishing in their appointed places throughout our new home all within 2 hours . Me and my husband could not BELIEVE IT!!! My husband was more than happy to tip these gentleman. Let me tell you something people you get what you pay for. We are so happy we did not go the cheaper route. But went with quality. If there were a minus rating, these jerks would have definitely gotten it. They arrived at my house and spent the morning arguing among themselves who was going to move the furniture and who was going to load the truck. I thought things were going to turn violent and advised my wife to be prepared for anything including a call to 911. The move continued and they seemed to be dragging all the furniture down the stairs and across the driveway to the truck. After they unloaded (later than quoted) there was so much damage I couldn't believe it. I am not exaggerating in saying more things arrived with some damage than did not. Oh, by the way, the insurance is 60 cents a pound. That translated to $300 for more than $10K damage. I spoke to a lawyer, but the moving industry in Florida is somehow protected from negligence.”

Wish I could give a better rating as most the move went pretty well. They did a great job of boxing and taking apart my apartment pretty fast. The movers worked really hard and efficient. The problem was when we arrived at the location. We have a solid Carrara marble table which we asked them to be very careful with. When they were carrying the table to my house, on of the movers dropped it breaking one end of the table. This got the situation a little tense as they knew this was an expensive piece and we specifically asked them to be careful. One of them mentioned that whomever dropped it must pay for it or replace it. He also mentioned that management would call me pretty soon to talk about it as he was talking with them on the phone explaining the conversation. The only thing management told them then on the phone was to charge me an extra hour since they got to the building 30 mins later and had to deal with some paperwork at the office due to COVID regulations.”
